1泊2日函館女ひとり旅|定番スポット&グルメ旅|五稜郭・函館山夜景・赤レンガ倉庫・ラッキーピエロ・ハセガワストア|Hakodate, Hokkaido【SUB/アフレコ/国内旅行】

Good morning. I went on a solo trip to Hakodate for two days and one night. Departing from Haneda Airport. It was a plane from Disney’s Fantasy Springs. I could see Goryokaku. Heading to Hakodate Station. Taking the shuttle bus. We arrived at Hakodate Station in about 20 minutes. We ate sea urchin. The sea urchin we used that day was from Ishizaki. It was really delicious. This is the market. Lucky Pierrot is a famous hamburger restaurant in Hakodate. We bought some souvenirs. There’s a restaurant where you can catch squid and have it cooked on the spot. I leave my luggage at the hotel. The hotel is a five-minute walk from Hakodate Station. There are lockers next to the front desk. There’s a bus that hotel guests can use free of charge. I’ll explore the sights on foot. You can see Mt. Hakodate, a famous night view spot. This ship is called the Mashu Maru. Apparently, it was in use until the Seikan Tunnel opened. You can actually touch it, so it’s fun for both adults and children. It feels like you’ve traveled back in time. There’s something in the wheelhouse that says “National,” and the fact that it’s not yet Panasonic really gives you a sense of the past. It snowed along the way. Our stay on the Mashu Maru was about an hour. Tonight we’re heading to Mount Hakodate. There’s a Lucky Pierrot here, too. We’re currently climbing Hakodate’s most famous hill. At the end of the straight road, we can see Hakodate Port. This is a place often used for guidebook cover photos. I came here to eat a crepe with a 30-minute expiration date. I waited in line for about 20 minutes. I walked toward Motomachi Park, looking for a bench. In 1853, Commodore Perry arrived in his black ships, demanding “open up the country,” and Japan opened two ports to trade. Those ports were Shimoda and Hakodate. After Japan ended its isolationist policy and began to let foreign cultures into the country, Hakodate’s streets became filled with an exotic atmosphere. This is where the Hakodate Magistrate’s Office once stood. It was later moved to Goryokaku. This area is full of retro buildings, and even just looking at their exteriors is fun. This is the former Hakodate Ward Public Hall. It’s located near Motomachi Park. I also want to visit the former British Consulate later, so I buy a set ticket. Let’s take a look inside right away. The original public hall burned down in 1907, but was rebuilt with a donation of 50,000 yen from a Hakodate businessman named Teppei Soma. You can get a glimpse of what the building was like back then, including the furniture and furnishings. From the second-floor balcony, you can enjoy a panoramic view of Motomachi and Hakodate Port. Next, we head to the former British Consulate. There are also exhibits here that give a glimpse into what it was like back then. The information on the panels here was quite easy to understand and interesting. After passing through the area full of churches, we finally headed up Mount Hakodate. Although it’s called a mountain, there’s a ropeway, so there’s no climbing involved. The OMO5 bus will take you here. Service temporarily suspended due to strong winds. I bought a ticket. I want to enjoy both the views before and after sunset. Service has resumed. The ropeway ride takes about three minutes. We immediately arrived at the rooftop observation deck. The view looks great. I can see the place I walked today. Mount Hakodate has one of Japan’s three greatest night views. There’s still time before sunset. You can check the ropeway’s operating hours on the monitor. I heard the whistle of the Mashu Maru from Mt. Hakodate. This terrain visible from Mt. Hakodate is not this part of the map, it’s this place. Somehow, there’s fog coming from the east. It’s starting to snow. Maybe the strong wind helped the clouds disappear. It’s getting quite dark, but due to worsening weather, everyone heads down the mountain. We’re going for dinner. Hakodate at night has a lovely atmosphere. We’re eating at Lucky Pierrot. There was a line during the day, but we were able to get in without waiting at this time. I order the most popular set. The Chinese chicken burger has a large piece of fried chicken inside. I head back to the hotel. I ended up doing all the sightseeing on foot today. It’s starting to snow. The snow is getting heavier. This is what my room looks like. The OMO BASE space just before the hot springs looked like a comfortable place to hang out. After the hot springs, it was time for some ice cream. I bought some ginger ale and relaxed. Good morning. It’s the morning of the second day. I grew up in a place where it doesn’t snow, so snowscapes are always exciting. Before breakfast, I went to the convenience store to buy tickets for Goryokaku. Advance tickets are slightly cheaper. The long-awaited breakfast buffet arrived. There was so much I wanted to try. When I went, it was during the Winter Squid Festival, so I enjoyed a variety of squid dishes. I also had dessert, so I’m full. I’m going for a walk. There’s a stone monument near the spot where Hijikata Toshizo is said to have been shot by the enemy during the Battle of Hakodate. The weather is nice this morning. I’m taking the bus to Goryokaku. I’ve arrived at Goryokaku Tower. You can take the elevator to the top. According to the weather forecast, it’s almost certain to clear up this evening, so I’ll go up later. After Goryokaku, we changed our plans to go directly to the airport. Hakodate is a hilly city. We’ll also take a look inside. Just walking around Hakodate is fun. We’re heading to the Red Brick Warehouse now. There are rows of cute miscellaneous goods and souvenirs. This is the shop I was looking for. You can order their popular cheese omelet just by itself. Meijikan was once a post office. This is said to be the oldest concrete utility pole in Japan. At Across Jujigai, there’s a display of manhole covers typical of Hakodate. I also found some local manhole covers while walking around. This is Hasegawa Store, home of Hakodate’s famous yakitori bento. Apparently, you can easily remove the meat from the skewer by holding the lid with one hand and pulling the skewer with the other. I returned to the hotel to pick up my luggage. I found TERU’s manhole cover in front of Hakodate Station. I took the bus from Hakodate Station to Goryokaku. This time it was sunny. At the entrance to Goryokaku Tower, there was a manhole cover featuring the GLAY gang. We decided to climb the tower later and explored the Goryokaku ruins first. Goryokaku was built for defense purposes after Hakodate’s port was opened to foreign ships. This is where the former Hakodate Magistrate’s Office, located near the old Hakodate Ward Road, was relocated yesterday. Part of the Hakodate Magistrate’s Office has been restored, so we decided to go inside. Apparently, they were built using the same materials and construction methods as much as possible. The best time to see the cherry blossoms is from late April to early May. We climb the tower. From the observation deck, you can get a good view of the star-shaped Goryokaku Fort. We’re heading in the direction of Mt. Hakodate. We take the bus to the airport. I love Marusei Butter Sandwiches, so I’ll buy some. I ate a lot of Hokkaido-inspired food until the very last moment before heading back to Tokyo.
