平安時代の816年、修禅の道場として弘法大師・空海が開いた高野山。
高野山を目指して今回が第1回目のハイキングです。
高野山へ参詣するための道を高野街道と言い、広義には京都や大阪方面から高野山へ通じる街道の総称を言い、狭義には大阪府河内長野市と和歌山県橋本市を結ぶ街道を言います。まずは河内長野を出発して橋本を目指しますが、今回は天見までの区間を歩きました。
河内長野駅から三日市町駅までの街道は、道路が高野街道の沿って色付けされていて、分かり易く道案内してくれます。
この日も暑い日でしたが、旧三日市交番では冷房で身体を冷やさせてもらいながら、ボランティアの方と談笑し、楽しいひと時を過ごさせて頂きました。
石仏から国道371号線はバイパスが出来たため、ほとんど車が走らない旧国道を快適にハイキング出来ました。

Mount Koya was founded by Kobo Daishi Kukai as a Zen training center in 816 during the Heian period.
This is our first hike to Mount Koya.
The road to Mount Koya is called the Koya Kaido, which in a broad sense refers to the roads that lead to Mount Koya from Kyoto and Osaka, and in a more narrow sense refers to the road that connects Kawachinagano City in Osaka Prefecture and Hashimoto City in Wakayama Prefecture. We started from Kawachinagano and headed for Hashimoto, but this time we walked the section up to Amami.
The road from Kawachinagano Station to Mikkaichicho Station is colored along the Koya Kaido, making it easy to find your way.
It was a hot day again, but at the former Mikkaichi Police Station, we were able to cool down in the air conditioning and enjoy chatting with the volunteers, having a great time.
A bypass has been built on National Route 371 from Ishibotoke, so we were able to enjoy a comfortable hike along the old national road, which is rarely used by cars.
