この動画は、福井県南越前町の湯尾駅（Yunoo Station）から出発し、山あいを駆け抜けて芋ヶ平廃村を目指すサイクリングルートを記録したものです。

湯尾駅は北陸本線（ハピラインふくい）の小さな無人駅で、山に囲まれた静かな環境にあります。

駅から始まるライディングは、山の緑と田園風景の中を進み、次第に高度を上げながら静かな林道へと入っていきます。目的地の芋ヶ平は、15世紀末に木地師たちが移住して築かれた集落で、明治期には32戸・約280人が暮らしていました。最近では完全な廃村となり、石碑や苔むした道や石積みが往時を伝えています。

残念ながら、カメラのトラブルのため、芋が平の200メートルほど手前で、映像が切れてしまっています。

A cycling journey from Yunoo Station (on the Hapi-Line Fukui) through the rural landscape of southern Fukui to the abandoned mountain village of Imogadaira.

Yunoo Station is a small, unmanned station nestled in the mountains, featuring two side platforms and IC card compatibility.

From there, the ride winds along scenic rural roads, through lush valleys and forested stretches, steadily gaining elevation. Imogadaira was founded in the late 15th century by migrating woodturners and once supported about 280 residents in 32 households by the Meiji era. Today it stands abandoned, with only weathered path stones, shrines, hewn rock formations, and commemorative markers hinting at its past.

The video emphasizes the sensory experience of cycling itself—the sound of tires on pavement, the rustle of wind, and the rhythm of effort—providing a reflective and immersive journey into a tranquil mountain world.

Unfortunately, just 200 metres before reaching Imogadaira, the camera had a technical failure and stopped recording.
