【厳選】千歳市ラーメン5選 ※もう迷わない!行って良かったお薦めラーメン店

The gateway to Hokkaido’s skies Shin-Chitose Airport is home to some of Hokkaido’s most iconic ramen shops! With this, is there really any reason to go all the way into Chitose just to eat ramen? No, not at all! Today, we’ll introduce must-try ramen shops in Chitose that are worth visiting even if you go a little beyond the airport. Just 15 minutes by car from Shin-Chitose Airport IORI is run by a chef trained at a renowned Sapporo miso ramen shop and is famous for its “Jun-Sumi style” bowl. IORI Hot × rich × aromatic—this trio is the essence of the “Jun-Sumi style.” You can experience Hokkaido miso ramen beyond what the airport alone can offer. Quickly buy your ticket at the vending machine (cash only). The fast turnover means you won’t have to wait long. Here it is! IORI’s miso ramen – 1,100 yen. The soup is rich in miso flavor, and a layer of lard keeps it piping hot. Until the very last bite, both the temperature and aroma stay intact. First, you’ll notice the fragrant aroma of stir-fried miso. By stir-frying bean sprouts, vegetables, and miso over high heat the flavors blend into the soup, adding depth to its taste. The noodles are medium-thick, curly noodles typical of Sapporo. They have a chewy, springy texture unique to egg noodles. Cooked slightly firm, they hold their own against the rich soup. The toppings include juicy, tender chopped chashu and a large, substantial slice of chashu. The large slice is low in fat, requiring a good chew to release its flavor. Ground meat and crisp bean sprouts create a pleasant rhythm of textures. Hot × rich × aromatic This trio is the essence of the “Jun-Sumi style.” Experience Chitose’s miso ramen, which goes beyond what you can try at the airport. Near IORI is Chitose’s popular tourist spot, “Roadside Station Salmon Park Chitose.” A market selling local vegetables and specialty products. There’s also a restaurant and food court where you can enjoy salmon dishes. In autumn, you can witness salmon swimming upstream in the Chitose River—a rare experience. It’s perfect for souvenir shopping, with around 70 salmon-related products alone. Along with the adjacent “Salmon Aquarium,” you can enjoy Chitose’s food and nature all in one place. Next, we introduce “Menya Rei,” a ramen shop famous among ramen enthusiasts. It’s a Michelin Bib Gourmand-recognized restaurant. The signature dish is a beautiful amber-colored shoyu ramen. Its rich, thick broth blends animal flavors with seafood, kelp, and bonito essence, resulting in a surprisingly refined taste. The wavy noodles made from Hokkaido wheat combine Sapporo’s boldness with Asahikawa’s delicacy, perfectly absorbing the soup’s flavors. The chashu melts in your mouth and is exceptional. The miso ramen offers a sweet, rich soup with vegetables, warming you to your core. The rich but non-greasy pork and chicken-based broth pairs perfectly with the miso. Each ingredient, like thick menma and cabbage, stands out on its own. The chashu here is so tender that it’s hard to pick up with chopsticks. Whether you prefer shoyu or miso, you’ll want to finish every last drop. It’s a highly satisfying ramen. Next up is “Niboshi Soba Ookini.” Open from 9 AM, this ramen shop offers a gentle flavor without using MSG. The signature dish is the subtly savory niboshi soba, Niboshi Soba Shoyu 930 yen / Niboshi Soba Shio 950 yen. Rather than pushing the niboshi flavor strongly, it’s light, elegant, and refined. The noodles are straight, high-water-content round noodles, perfectly chewy for the soup. They have the unique texture of Asahikawa-style noodles, which complements the niboshi broth. Toppings include chicken thigh and breast chashu, bamboo shoots, green onions, and nori. All are carefully prepared, letting the ingredients’ flavors shine. There are also side dishes like Hokkaido beef rice and handmade waffles. The beef rice pairs perfectly with ramen; the “Ookini Set” is recommended. A place where you can enjoy meals made with Hokkaido ingredients. The waffles are delicious, offering a different charm from Sapporo ramen. Once you try it, you’ll want to return. A must-visit for ramen lovers. Next is the riders’ sanctuary, “Shoryu.” This famous shop, loved for 41 years in Kuromatsunai, has relocated to Chitose. The name “Shoryu” comes from the pine trees of Kuromatsunai. It preserves tradition while taking on new challenges. The signature dish is the nostalgic miso ramen, 850 yen. The soup, made from chicken bones and seafood, paired with medium-thick wavy noodles, reminds you of a Showa-era roadside diner. Tonkoku Shoyu – 1,000 yen The interior is bright like a café, and windows offer views of nature. USB outlets are available, making it perfect for a touring break. The area also offers rural scenery and spots to watch airplanes land up close. A perfect stop for riders. Enjoy a memorable bowl amid Hokkaido scenery at “Shoryu.” Make it a destination on your next tour! Finally, we introduce “Hokkaido Ramen Dojo,” mentioned in the opening. Located on the 3rd floor of the domestic terminal at Shin-Chitose Airport, it gathers 10 popular ramen shops from across Hokkaido. Miso, shoyu, shio—you name it, all types are here. Each bowl has its own character, making it a dream spot for ramen lovers. It’s a great place to enjoy Hokkaido ramen casually upon arrival or at the end of your trip. However, many shops are popular, so expect lines at peak times. Plan your visit with some extra time. In Chitose, you’ll find ramen full of the chefs’ passion and personal stories, offering flavors you can only experience here. If you visit Chitose, be sure to go the extra mile and try them.
