Continue my solo trip in Vietnam after SJourney train trip. This is my first time going to an Aman resort. I am really looking forward to it. A flight into Nha Trang first, then a roughly 1.5-hour drive from there. Got my Rimowa. It is a relatively small airport. On way private transfer booked on Booking.com for $48.64. One way transfer provided by Amanoi will be $150. Alright, let’s hit the road! The weather is really nice today. It will be about 1.5 hours drive from here. We will have very nice view on the way. Finally, we are here! Safety check. We were guided to the lobby area. It feels like another 5 min drive. What’s going on? So many staff here. Oh, saying goodbye. I seriously feel like a celebrity right now! Wow, that was such a big welcome! Staff will send our luggage to our room. Let’s go to our room first before going for lunch. I saw this long hall way on the picture, but it feels more beautiful when walking here in person. There will be a new Aman opening in California in a few years – won’t be as massive as this one, though. Here is the main restaurant open for breakfast, lunch, dinner and afternoon tea. It is a bit windy here. We will go hiking there later. Every evening, there’s a live jazz performance from 7 to 9:30 pm. And for non-drinkers, there’s a ‘Peaceful Hour’ from 6-7 pm with buy-one-get-one-free mocktails! There is a shop here. There are two pools: beach club and cliff pool. Nice meeting you! Taking a short buggy ride to our villa. We got an upgrade from mountain villa to the ocean villa. Thanks so much for grabbing my backpack! We have a beautiful sea view from here. Welcome to our new home. The room is super spacious, with distinct bedroom and living areas, and the design is just so simple and elegant. There’s this massive outdoor space facing the ocean. This view is absolutely breathtaking. We can see sunrise from here. There’s even more lounging space as we walk down. 180-degree ocean view. The water is this incredible mix of green and blue. Just another perspective of the room. Welcome fruits. The bedroom boasts a luxurious king-sized bed. We can even request different types of pillows if we want. Blue tooth speaker. Coffee machine. Non-alcohol drink is complimentary. Minibar price. Safe box. Snacks also complimentary. Wine here. Hot water boiler. Now, let’s check out the bathroom and shower area. Two huge open closets, plenty of space. Free gift: hat. Indoor and outdoor slippers. They’ve thought of everything: toothbrush, mosquito repellent, universal adapter, sunscreen, flashlight… Beach bag we can take home too. Laundry price. The shower area has handheld and rainforest shower heads. There is a door to the outdoor space. There is a separate toilet area. A lot of design details. There is a bath tub to soak in. We are at Villa 7. Our itinerary for the two days: hiking and salt farm visit. Time for a quick rest before we head out again. It’s just so peaceful here. Let’s call a buggy to the restaurant. It came within 5 minutes. Let’s go! Xin Chao! I’m so friendly 😊. I’m starving! Woke up before 5 AM for a 6:30 AM flight that ended up getting delayed until 9:30 AM. Can I have a table for one? Let’s get a table with a view. Whoa, the wind is pretty strong over here! Changing table. 😅 Still water please. I wanted to try some local food. What’s your recommendation? I’m wondering if it is always windy like this? Maybe we can try this spot tomorrow if the wind calms down. Fine Rice Vermicelli & Grilled Pork Skewer. Let’s wash hands. We need to use our hands to wrap the meat. Is this truly authentic Vietnamese food? Am I even doing this right? Mmm, yummy! One more. I love Vietnamese food! So delicious! Let’s go back for a rest. This little pathway is just gorgeous. I normally prefer water with room temperature, but it is really hot. This looks like some sort of peanut and toffee treat Ahh, this feels so perfectly relaxed. We will go for a resort tour at 3:30 pm. We will visit the beach club, spa, tennis court. There are 2 restaurants. The main restaurant offers all day dinning. Don’t miss the complimentary afternoon tea from 3:30 to 4:30 PM! Here is the SPA. Every morning 8 am to 9 am there is complimentary yoga class. The restaurant at the beach club mostly offers lunch. It is now open for breakfast because there are many guests now. There is Umami dinner at beach club this week. Over there is the residence with 5 bedrooms.💰 Here is the beach club. There is a pool, a restaurant. Also, we can go down to the beach from here. The restaurant has a minimalist design. There is a large, black tiled infinity pool. Summer seems to be peak season here. The kayak is complimentary. The archery is also complimentary. Here is the tennis court. It is not easy to drive the buggy on the narrow road here. Here is the SPA. Mind your steps. Xin chao. Welcome to the SPA. Check out the beautiful yoga pavilion right by the lake. This is the gym. It is huge gym. Water, fruits, towels available. It is fully equipped with cardio and weight training equipment. There is also a Pilates room. Complimentary wellness activities from 8 am to 9 am every day. SPA treatment room. There is a changing room. Perfect for couples – you can enjoy a massage session together! I’m really loving this artwork in here. Let’s go for the afternoon tea now. We have freshly cooked Vietnamese rice pancakes. We will have different toppings every day. There are different types of cakes. Plus, plenty of fresh fruit. So many different drinks on offer. Let’s try the bubble milk tea and the young coconut. Wow, this salty cake is surprisingly good! The pancake is pretty good too. We got walking stick. It will be about 20 min to reach the top. Goga Peak trail entrance. “Are there snakes?”
“Don’t worry. I will go first to check for you.” Such a big cactus. Hey, a lizard! From up here, we can spot the main restaurant, the rock studio, and even the cliff pool. This is just a Level 1 hike; they have much more challenging ones if you’re up for it! 😜 Almost there. We’ve got a full 360-degree panoramic view of the ocean, mountains, and even distant cities. That’s the Vĩnh Hy fish village. We will visit the salt farm tomorrow. Fishing boats and glass bottom boats. Vĩnh Hy fish village is a popular tourist place. Amanoi is truly nestled right within the hills of the national park. Second viewpoint, equally stunning! We can see the residence from here. The sunlight is start to turn golden color. GRILLED CHICKEN with PURPLE STICKY RICE. GÀ NƯỚNG. The chicken is tender, but honestly, it’s a bit bland. I’m really missing that SJourney food! It’s not that tasty, I’m just hungry. Time to enjoy some jazz. Isn’t she just absolutely amazing?! A huge thank you for such a wonderful performance! Walking back. Looks like they did the turn-down service already. And they even left a little cleaning cloth for my sunglasses – so thoughtful! I saw a little gift. Have you tried lotus tea? Tomorrow’s departure. So, I am back on my solo trip. I’m getting very comfortable now traveling alone. It offers so much freedom and a chance for quiet reflection. There’s always so much to explore and experience, so boredom is never an issue. I’m not really into bars, and I don’t need wild, eventful nights. Sometimes, I’m perfectly happy just staying in and enjoying the hotel. Oh, wow, thank you so much! She will be our guide today. See you later. They packed us some snacks for the trip! We arrived. It is my first time seeing a salt farm. Apparently, the salt here is typically harvested over a period of 7 to 10 days. The sea water comes here through the pipes. Fun fact: Ninh Thuan, often known as the “salt capital of the South,” is one of Vietnam’s largest salt producers! A bit disappointing, no farmers working in the salt fields today. We will have some coffee here at this local cafe. Salted coffee seems popular here. I usually avoid cold drinks, especially first thing in the morning, but I’m going to give this a try! She makes handcrafted accessories and sells them online. We got a gift 😍. Thank you so much. This one is for girls. Feeling so lucky to have found some farmers working at another salt farm on our way back. Hope I am not disturbing your work. Let’s explore a bit more. It’s humbling to see the effort that goes into every single grain of salt. I am feeling so grateful for experience like this. It’s a reminder that even the simplest things, like salt, have a lot of hard work behind them. We are going to a vineyard next. Wow, look at all these grapes! The vibrant green leaves and ripening grapes are a feast for the eyes. So many different types of grapes. We get to pick our own! Enjoying some drinks and our grapes. My first time seeing so many grapes above me. It tastes very good. They also sell homemade wine here. It tastes very smooth. Next, we’re off to a fishing village. This looks like the basket boat we rode in Hoi An. Vietnamese people are very friendly. They’re fixing their fishing nets. It’s beautiful and rugged at the same time. Taking a moment to just be here… to feel the peacefulness and witness another way of life. Time to head back. Thanks so much for showing me all these local spots. Now is time for breakfast. Breakfast is from 7 am, last order 10 am. Breakfast is included, and we can order anything on the menu. There are Western and Vietnamese options. It’s cloudier and cooler today than yesterday. Today’s special: seafood noodle soup. The seafood is so fresh. This toasted bread is perfectly crispy. What should we try next? It is made from a thin, wide sheet of fermented rice batter filled with a mixture of cooked seasoned ground pork, minced wood ear mushroom, and minced shallots. Pretty delicious! Wish I can try everything on the menu. Let’s check out the cliff pool. The view from this infinity pool is absolutely stunning. The staff brought a cold drink without me asking. Could you take a photo for me? Not many people here, maybe they got their private pool in their villa. The staff also brought me a quick snack. I want to visit the SPA again. The yoga class is already over. Here, we can feel a different level of tranquility. Taking a moment and feeling all this. Going to the beach and then have lunch there before leaving. July is hot. I don’t see many people at the beach. Don’t judge, I can’t swim! 😉 But I can still enjoy the beach and ocean in my own way. Let’s get lunch at the beach club restaurant. What should we get? I like fish. The service is really good. Olive oil and vinegar for some bread. Fish of the day: Seabass. Fish is always tender. I love it. I still prefer to use chopsticks. We got 4 pm late check out, so we can enjoy today’s afternoon tea before leaving. Time to leave. It’s always a little sad to leave a beautiful place like this. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay. I just noticed now from the reflection, she was waving from the other side. This is it, our stay at Amanoi. This doesn’t mean end of our trip. Heading to our next destination now.

Thanks for posting the video. We also stayed at Pavillion 7 on our very first visit to Amanoi. We were there last November and the entrance to the villa had those three seeded Brazilian cherry bushes blooming. Reminded me so much of my childhood. That place absolutely tugged my heart string so I had to fly back just for it last April. The peaceful walk in the morning soothed my soul like no other. We walked from one end of the resort to the other through their construction sites, up the Goga peak and down to the beach club. Their drivers gave us the nickname walking ladies and they gave up asking us if we need a ride 🤣🤣🤣

I'm staying at my first Aman resort in Bangkok Thailand in November and can't wait. I have heard nothing but great things about the Aman brand this video just confirmed things. I also am a solo traveller, the freedom you get from not having to compromise your experience is unparalleled plus you get time to spend getting to know yourself which something people seem far to scared to do these days.
