Meshitabi Season 5This time, we’re featuring 8 restaurants in the Ashoro, Kamishihoro, and Ikeda areas.Let ‘s get started!✨First, Ashoro ‘s ” Café de Camino” soft serve ice cream.We were tipped off that Ashoro’s Camino is “number one in Hokkaido♬,” so we knew we had to try it!So we headed there!♬ It’s located in the beautiful mountains, about 15 minutes northeast of Ashoro, towards Akan.Beautiful mountains?! Beautiful mountains… a very Hokkaido-esque cafe♬ The soft serve ice cream is made with milk from cows raised on natural grass at Uno Farm !It’s fresh, refreshing, and has a clean aftertaste.♬Apparently, the taste of milk changes depending on the season, depending on whether the cows are fed on lush summer grass or dry grass from autumn to winter.As a result, the flavor changes depending on the season ! They say people with sensitive taste buds can smell the grass in milk , right? Hey, you mean Kiki-Milk? Surprising! But it’s impossible… Chitose, Sapporo, and Ashoro… Ah, that’s right… 2. Ashoro “Ryōgoku Shokudo” Established in 1951, Ryogoku is a restaurant in the countryside of eastern Tokachi . I came here after hearing from a friend that “the cutlet curry is delicious!” It’s in front of Ashoro Station, the former station that was closed in 2006 … but it’s now the Ashoro Ginga Hall 21 Roadside Station, and it ‘s right next to it. The name Ryogoku comes from the fact that if you walk down the street in front of the restaurant from the station, you’ll see a bridge called Ryogoku Bridge over the Tobetsu River. Apparently, this bridge was once built over the Tobetsu River, dividing Kushiro Province and Tokachi Province, and hence the name Ryogoku Bridge! Ryogoku Shokudo is named after that bridge. I’ve never heard of Kushiro Province and Tokachi Province before! When was this?! It was 1869, so it was right after the Meiji Restoration! Apparently Ezo was named Hokkaido and 11 provinces and 86 districts were established… There was a country within a road?! Hmm, I’ve never heard of that before, right?! So, I went to Ashoro and had some katsu curry, which Matsuyama Chiharu must have also eaten ♬ I decided to jump on the katsu curry bandwagon! I had the Zaru Soba and Pork Bowl set. The soba noodles are handmade country soba and are delicious♬ They have a strong texture and a good bite , but they’re also smooth and delicious. I love this soba♬ The soba sauce was a little sweet, but… Ah, that’s right. They apparently use bonito flakes and sardine flakes. Sardines are rare, aren’t they? Ah, that’s why it had a dried sardine-like scent . And this pork bowl is delicious!! It’s the type I like ♬ Better than a mediocre pork bowl specialty restaurant ♬ The sauce here is also a little sweet, but it’s been added over and over again to give it a deep flavor – I think all of the sauces at this restaurant are delicious ♬ The rice was cooked on the firm side too, which was delicious ♬ The pork cutlet curry was typical of a soba restaurant !! Their Yamayuki grape sorbet is my favorite♬ Yes, in 2020, Yamayuki grape sorbet became the third variety to be registered with the OIV (International Organisation of Vine and Wine), following Koshu Muscat Bailey A. Ah, it’s a grape variety that can rival grapes like Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Pinot Noir, and Chardonnay ! Yes, I was surprised at how different the grapes were from my impression of them three years ago ! It seems that just like the taste of wine changes every year, the taste of sorbet also changes, doesn’t it? 三国峠を下って約12キロ程進んだ場所にログハウスレストラン三股山荘が有ります。そちらの畑のランチの新じゃがとソーセージ 凄くお芋が美味しくて感動しました🥹✨✨
朝ごはんとお昼ごはんと 予約制のお店ですが、シーズン毎にメニューが代わるそうなので景色も相まって凄く素敵なお店です!

北海道のローカル旅行雑誌にて東北海道のランキング1.2位を取ったこともある芽登温泉・野中温泉(火事で休業中)がありますので唯一の温浴施設ではないですね。銀河の湯。
