【函館観光】夜の函館でグルメと夜景を堪能するドライブ旅行!函館旅行vlog

Hello! This is bien. This time, I’m taking a rare trip to Hakodate , starting at night for three days and two nights. I’m enjoying Hakodate , Hokkaido , on a summer solo trip. It only took three and a half hours from the time I arrived at the airport, but I had a great time. Please be sure to watch until the end. I arrived at Haneda Airport in Tokyo and headed to Hakodate Airport on an ANA flight. It’s about an hour and 20 minutes from Haneda to Hakodate . It’s already dark when I arrive in Hakodate . I was actually planning to stay two days, one night, tomorrow or the day after, but there were no early morning flights (the only ones I could find were expensive), so I decided to fly in early today. I rented a car from the airport and headed out for ramen. Since I was arriving at night, there was no shuttle bus for the rental car . Damn! 帰りました。 English : The car share is too far from the airport And it’s Hokkaido, there’s been a lot of news about bears recently so it ‘s really scary to walk alone on roads like this I try to make noise and talk to no one as much as possible as I go I don’t think there are any bears in Hakodate but I thought there wouldn’t be a single one in Hakodate but guess what, they’ve been spotted I managed to get a rental car Anyway , the first place I head to when I arrive in Hakodate is a ramen restaurant So I’ll head there straight away The car share is in a great location The last time I went there it was a long time ago when it was cold It was winter so I think it was around the end of November (it was snowing) This is my first time in Hakodate in August so I want to enjoy the cool summer in Hakodate Looking at Higumap , I don’t think there have been any bear sightings in the mountaintop area of the Hakodate ropeway So I’m traveling alone at night so the mountains are scary but I think it will be crowded If it’s crowded it should be no problem (there are no bears on Mt. Hakodate) Mt. Hakodate’s ropeway is overtourism now?帰りました。 English: It ‘s August and today is a weekday, but I heard there could be a wait of an hour or an hour and a half, so I’m thinking of going to the top of the mountain by car. If I go by car, there are traffic restrictions from 5pm to 10pm and cars are not allowed (regular vehicles) , so I’ll go by car after 10pm to see the night view . If I do that, maybe it’ll be a little less crowded? The ramen shop is only 1.3km away and I’ll get there in no time. This time I deliberately chose to rent a car. Actually, when I travel alone, I always rent a car and go on a road trip, so I think it’s fun to rent a car and go on a road trip. In Hakodate, you can take a bus to Hakodate Station and then walk around the area, but I deliberately chose to rent a car this time. The roads are super empty. It’s the week after Obon, August 18th, and even though it’s summer vacation, there’s a theory that it might be empty (maybe a flag has been raised?). Well, it is crowded, but the road from the airport was empty, but there is a normal amount of traffic. What was the name of the shop again ? Was it just one character? 。 English: There it is , wow, I wonder if it’s crowded , but it’s not crowded. It’s in a very easy to find location and is very accessible. It’s along a main road, and wow, this is … Oh, it’s empty, isn’t it? I was able to park, but cars kept coming in, so I decided to enjoy ramen at Ichimoji, which is right near the airport. I was the only solo customer (unusual for a ramen shop). After waiting for about 10 to 15 minutes, I was able to sit down. I ordered their specialty shio ramen. To be honest, I was more interested in miso ramen, but I heard that shio ramen is synonymous with Hakodate, so I ordered that. It has a delicious-looking color, and since it’s a light ramen , the soup is smooth and smooth like this. The noodles are like this. They were a bit firmer than I expected. Let’s eat right away. This is quite delicious. Eating the noodles after drinking the soup tasted even better. The soup has a really deep flavor, and since it’s a light ramen, the flavor is rather thin, but it has a nice aftertaste that hits you in the nose, and the flavor that comes after is really delicious. With only 20% left, I decided to change the flavor by adding lots of chili oil. I choked on the chili oil for a moment , but it was all gone .味気ないですね。 English: I almost spat out my hand but managed to make it just in time (I could have done it if I had held my breath lol) . But you know, there was no need for chili oil. It probably would have been more delicious if I had eaten it straight to the end without changing the flavor. And actually, I’ll have the fried rice that I ordered along with it too. Eating fried rice, drinking soup, fried rice, drinking soup, repeating this process was quite delicious . It ‘s really tasty when you eat fried rice like this after a long time. I hadn’t eaten anything since this morning so I ate it all in a flash . It was delicious. Thank you for the meal. Next time I come I’d like to try the miso ramen. The ramen was delicious . Personally I had a hunch that ramen shops that are too crowded are suspicious, but it was delicious. The soup was good. The noodles were good too , but the soup had a faint aftertaste ? The flavor was like a soup I’ve never had before. The fried rice was delicious, but when I drank the salt ramen soup after finishing the fried rice, it all became unrecognizable. It ‘s good, but salt ramen isn’t good after eating something with a strong flavor. It’s better to eat that first and then eat something else, personally. 。 English: There’s a sushi restaurant here too, a yakiniku restaurant and a sushi restaurant with all seats in the express lane . There are so many cars parked and it’s really crowded. This time we started at night so it’s pitch black and it doesn’t really feel like a vacation. If anything it feels more like coming home from work, but I’m in the mood . I’m going to check into my hotel, which is very close to Hakodate Station and has a sauna. I’m thinking of going to the sauna, heading towards the Mount Hakodate Ropeway, climbing the mountain by car , seeing the night view, and then coming back to sleep. I can see the city of Hakodate in the distance. The ocean is on the left so it’s pitch black and I can’t see anything. There are also many hotels on this street. If I were to rent a car, would a hotel around here be okay? It’s by the sea so the view looks nice. I wonder if Hakodate Station is at the end of this street? It’s so bright. The sparkling tram tracks and the cityscape are nice. It’s so bright and there are lots of people and cars so there’s no way we’ll see any bears! The news is saying they’ve appeared in the city, so I wonder if they really do appear in places like this? I thought that, but it definitely didn’t come out. It was night, 8pm, and if it’s like this, it’s going to be pretty bad tomorrow morning. In Hakodate , everything is so close that you don’t really need a rental car . For tourist spots, I wanted to be able to keep my camera charged while I moved around, so I rented a car instead, but when you travel by car, everything is done in an instant (there’s almost no charging time lol) . There’s also a Gold’s Gym here. Where is the parking lot ? This is the parking lot, but there ‘s no ticket gate or anything like that. I wonder if you have to tell me verbally where to park ? Can I park my car here? I’m staying at that hotel, and oh I get it, it’s really crowded, isn’t it? I checked into the hotel safely. It ‘s amazing, like this. It’s really beautiful. There’s a large public bath on the second floor, so I don’t think I’ll use the shower much, but it’s really spacious. There’s also plenty of storage, such as a place to put a hair dryer. I thought it might be a little small because it’s a hotel in front of the station, but for a single room, it’s quite spacious. There are also outlets, which is great. There are two outlets here and a USB in the middle, which is really nice. There’s one here too, and of course there ‘s an outlet next to
the bed. It ‘s not a yukata, but a pajama set, so it doesn’t come off when you’re sleeping and your body doesn’t get cold, which is nice. There’s a TV and an air purifier, and the width of this room is quite spacious. This time I’m in a room on the fifth floor, so the view is what it is. From here, all I can see is buildings. I’m going to the sauna right away. So I ‘m back from the sauna. Great , saunas are really great, and they offer free ice cream. It’s still 9pm 帰りました。 English : It’s 20 minutes, but it might be really crowded, so I wonder if arriving 30 minutes early would be too early. The weather for tomorrow and the day after is unexpectedly forecast to rain , so I want to see the view… If I want to see the night view, today is the only day, so I think I’ll take a little walk in front of Hakodate Station before heading up the mountain. By the way, the hotel I’m staying at is La’gent Stay Hakodate Ekimae, which you can see on your left. The huge red thing in the square in front of the station is a monument called Oyako. It was apparently selected from 271 entries submitted from all over the country with the theme of interaction, in conjunction with the reconstruction of JR Hakodate Station. I refreshed myself in the sauna, and it’s now 9:50pm, so I head towards the ropeway summit station. It’s about a 15-20 minute drive from Hakodate Station to the summit area, maybe about 15 minutes. It’s Monday night after the Obon holidays, so I don’t think it will be that crowded, but I wonder what it will be like. I don’t have Genghis Khan either. Maybe I’ll go for Genghis Khan tomorrow or the day after. Driving in Hakodate at night is amazing , there are absolutely no cars on this street, what ‘s that? A cat just
crossed the street with great speed ! Wow, what a comfortable , comfortable drive . I saw on the news that Hakodate is becoming overtourist so I thought, wow, but for now, I think it’s comfortable for a night drive or stroll around town. The problem is the daytime, there’s the morning market tomorrow morning and then lunch. I wonder what it’s like at lunchtime. It’s 9:56pm now and apparently you can enter at 10pm. There are a few people walking around here too , are they people returning after seeing the night view from the ropeway ? This is around here, and you can walk from Jujigai station, which is probably the ropeway station. I’m sure there are also people coming by car, and it looks like there’s a parking lot around here, and the ropeway station parking lot . The ropeway’s opening hours are about to end so maybe it’s the peak time for people returning home. The cityscape is really nice, this tram and the Hakodate Bus Jujigai bus stop are here everyone People are walking, perhaps on their way back from enjoying the night view. The ropeway station is at the top of this hill , but it’s not 10pm yet, so it’s 9:58pm and we can’t get through yet (we arrived surprisingly quickly). What’s going on? Is there a traffic jam? So many people are coming out . After the ropeway finished, so many people came out. It’s amazing , it’s incredibly crowded (it must be crazy on the weekends lol). I wonder if the road to the top of the mountain is also jammed. This means everyone is driving to the top. Oh my, my, are they all going to the top? They’re coming in. It’s exactly 10pm, so maybe the road has opened up? Is it different here? It’s a one-way street here and there’s something somewhere , a gate? A gate?帰りましたら、東北本線・陸羽東線を乗り継いで 旅を乗り継いで 旅をしてきました 。 English: Apparently there is a road there that is closed until 10pm, or rather closed, but maybe it ‘s just been reopened now ? Oh, it’s so crowded. There are restrictions on private cars at night from 5pm to 10pm , but they’ve just reopened so it doesn’t seem to be that congested. It looks like there are security guards. The lanes are separated and it’s such a popular tourist destination that oncoming cars won’t be able to pass each other , but there are a lot of foreigners here , so it’s possible that a foreigner might be driving, so if you don’t drive slowly, you might get hit by a car. It’s my first time coming to the mountaintop area by car, so I’m a little excited. I’m afraid of bears when traveling in Hokkaido , so it’s really reassuring to see so many cars there (there aren’t any on Mt. Hakodate lol). It’s just so dark, and if I was the only car there I’d be really scared. I wonder what it’s like. Well, it’s not exactly a traffic jam , but it’s moving smoothly so I don’t think the parking lot is full , but it’s gradually getting packed. The person in front of me said it’s Monday, so it’s a weekday , but it looks like it would be really dangerous on weekends and holidays . Only three more kilometers to go and we’ll reach the summit area. It’s quite a climb, faster than I thought, and this is the fourth stop, with an altitude of 200m. I wonder how many minutes it will take to get up there. So far , no cars have been stopped once. There is a line in front of me, but the traffic isn’t so heavy that cars have to stop, so I guess we’ve gotten about halfway in five minutes. In total , it looks like it will take about ten minutes to reach the summit. However, as soon as we reach a straight line and look ahead, there is no end to cars. I wonder how many parking spaces there are? We’ll arrive in 600 meters, and cars are moving smoothly, so it looks like we can park. It would be the worst if it was my turn and the parking lot was full. Oh, it’s getting a little packed. I don’t know what to do yet. This is still a case of not knowing if we’ll be able to park (tearful). Even if people with regular cars get this far, they can’t get out of their cars if they can’t park (taxis are the best option) . There was a parking space available! Oh… everyone is renting a car so it takes a while to park , but it’s also a parking lot on a really slanted slope so it’s really scary. Even though I thought I was going straight, it felt like I was going at an angle and it was scary. When I arrived it was really crowded , but you know, it’s better to come in a car with not so many people around so you can enjoy the scenery at a leisurely pace. : Oh, so it looks like this! I discovered a monument on Mt. Hakodate. By the way, this is not the observation deck yet, so I head there on foot. It takes 2-3 minutes to get from the parking lot to the observation deck. Enjoy the beautiful night view of Hakodate city from the observation deck, which is about 330m above sea level. I arrived at the observation deck and it was already crowded with people. However , since the ropeway had finished running, it was less crowded than I expected. Look at the beautiful night view of Hakodate city. Wow, it’s really an amazing view. By the way, the last time I came here it was the end of November and it was extremely cold, so the memories of watching it while freezing came back to me. Now it’s August, so I was able to enjoy the night view comfortably and coolly in short sleeves . The terrain is unique, and the view is truly beautiful. By the way, tomorrow I plan to visit the Hakodate Morning Market and the Red Brick Building area (please subscribe to my channel). There are two observation decks, and I went up even higher like this. Looking around, it really is bustling with people. This is at 10pm on a Monday, so on weekends, holidays, and during ropeway hours, it may be quite difficult to take commemorative photos in the front row of the observation deck. However, after 10pm there is a limit to the number of cars that can be parked, so it may not get any more crowded. After enjoying the view, on my way back to the parking lot I discovered a traffic jam of people waiting to park at the back. Well, I was glad to be able to see the night view . There was a traffic jam entering the parking lot, but there was also a traffic jam leaving the parking lot, so it was kind of chaotic, you could n’t get out. This was also a problem. I arrived at 10pm and just managed to find a parking spot. If it had been 10:05pm or 10:10pm, I ‘m sure it would have been just 5-10 minutes late, so you’d get caught in a traffic jam and not be able to park. It’s a mess . Wow, there was a huge oncoming traffic jam . Is it on camera? Please look at the oncoming traffic at the very last moment. It’s amazing. Ah, this is , no, I was really lucky . I arrived just before 10pm, about one minute before. I arrived just in time near the ropeway station and it was 10pm, but this… What time is it now ? Anyway , it’s 10:30pm . If it’s 10:30pm , it’s going to be impossible with this traffic jam. It looks like it’ll take more than an hour. There were a lot of couples and families, so I was alone and I felt like I only stayed for 10 minutes. But I think everyone else is just taking it easy for 30-40 minutes, so this is serious. It ‘s probably going to be so bad that I won’t be able to get home even at midnight (probably). Wow, the traffic jam is still going on. It’s really unbelievable. It’s on a completely different level. I underestimated it being Monday, thinking it would be fine since it’s a weekday, but now that I think about it, the ropeway seems like it would be difficult too. It looks like it would be impossible on weekends . Ah, this is the end of the line. This is the end of the line. No, I’m glad I came early. What should I do now? I’m sleepy. Well , I guess I’ll go to bed for tomorrow . But what is it like at night? Driving in this atmosphere is kind of fun. But it’s so congested. It’s really a fine line, or rather, it was good. I went right at 10pm and personally, I would have spent more money. I think it’s better to go by taxi. Regular cars aren’t allowed between 5pm and 10pm, so it’s always empty. I think the ropeway will be really crowded on the parking lot side, but if you think about paying for the ropeway, if you’re going with 2-3 people, the ropeway fare is about the same per adult, so it might be more cost-effective to go by taxi. This is the Jujigai tram station here. It’s really convenient to have a car, but if it’s daytime, you can get to the ropeway without one. I think it would be amazing at night , but it feels so open . I arrived in Hakodate from Haneda at around 7pm and left Hakodate Airport, so I was able to do quite a lot in three and a half hours. I went for ramen, checked in, went to the sauna, climbed the mountain, and saw the night view. It was a pretty intense three and a half hours , so I headed back to the hotel. I’m already at the station, or rather, I went back to Hakodate Station. It ‘s great, everything is close so it’s really easy to sightsee. When I returned to the parking lot, there were so few cars. I guess everyone went to see the night view. They’re probably stuck in traffic by now, so I’m going to sleep soundly to prepare for tomorrow. By the way, tomorrow I’ll be visiting some popular tourist spots in Hakodate. I was able to enjoy both the food and the sights, so please subscribe to my channel and rate it highly. Thank you for watching.
