ターン出来てもチューブに入れないスキムボーダー必見 【鎌倉スキムボード チューブ波 編
[Music] [Music] [Music] Hello. This is Natsumi Yamashita. This time, it’s summer in Kamakura. I’ve put together some footage from a day with a lot of tube waves, so please watch until the end. Most of the waves were like this, allowing me to turn and wrap, and the footage shows how to get this tube line. I’d like to talk a little bit about some easy ways to wrap and some tips for the day, so please watch until the end. This one is a pretty good position, too. We’ve been getting some great footage so far, and this one has a beautiful sideways run. I think this line is the ideal form for wrapping , but there are some fast waves in between. I’m doing some tricks on those waves right now, and if I had to focus on one thing, the way this wrap starts is great, but I’d like to talk a little about the approach to the turn before that. It looks like this, just a little over one wave and then turns right away. These kinds of waves have a short pitch to the front . Even with this one, I immediately return my board after passing it once, and I’m doing a lap here now, which is perfect. A lot of times, when I go outboard, I pull my board sideways. Some people pull their board too much and end up delaying their turn and not being able to lap , but if I don’t try to return my board as quickly as possible on sideways, I often won’t be able to get to the point where I’m getting hit by the wave like this , so I think it’s important to keep that in mind. Conversely, if I can do that properly , I’ll have more room to turn and be hit by the wave like this, so I’ll return my board right after passing this and turn. My current wave was actually a little late, but I recovered better than I actually did. That ‘s the first thing. When I try to take it on the outside, some people pull their board sideways like this , but it’s really important to return as quickly as possible. Turning takes longer than you think . And it also takes time to return my board from a sideway . As quickly as possible. This is good. This was beautiful. I think that’s one of the important points. So, when you overlap, make sure you don’t lean too far forward, but step on the tail. I think it’s important to keep that in mind. If your center of gravity is too far forward, the nose will easily dig in when you’re lapping, so make sure you step on the tail firmly to get in. Now, this was a little hard to see at the end, but it did dig in a little, but it recovered. Now, this turn in one go. This is beautiful. That’s a nice turn. The tube position was a little off, but I think this turn was great. Sideway, turn, one pump , and then you overlapped. I think it was probably one pump. There was a little lag just now, so you did a sideway when you turned . It felt like you couldn’t push off just now. Now, the sideway was a little off, but you covered it well. Even though the takeoff was off, you quickly corrected the axis with the shift weight. Well, it felt like I was trying to make a little one-action move. I turned, and tried to make a lighter move here, but it digged in . Yes. Sideway. That’s good extension. He rides the backwash, pumps twice, and runs sideways. This is perfect. I think it’s a nice lap. Okay, this wave is a little on the drifting side, but can he get ahead? He missed the tip of the break in time, but it’s still a good turn. Is this a front? A front lap . He got a little damper-chick, but oh well, I think it was enough. This one was solid. He figured the wave was a little small, so he started the turn early and lapped. I think this instinct is really important. Okay, it’s a little crushed, but nice. So, when you think the wave is about to disappear, start turning as fast as you can. That awareness is important. Okay, turn, openside 180. Go over one gap, pump from here, turn, and here’s a one-eighty. Yeah, it ‘s fine to go sideways like this after going over the gap, but as I said earlier, it can delay the turn. Don’t forget to bring it back. It’s a little crushed there, so you can’t do anything. [Music] This one’s a little tricky. The drifting side. You handled this well. Nicely. You stepped on the tail right away. And this is a wrap. I started this lap midway through, but the way you stepped on the tail is so beautiful, it moves sideways quite nicely. Okay, let’s drift this. Ah, it’s an ollie. If you had a board like this in front of you, it would feel like an ollie landing. [Music] Turn and then a wrap. This one’s pretty neat. You made a solid turn here. It’s a bit of a standing motion. This lap feels like you’re able to do this because you’re properly stepping on the tail. It’s important to step on the tail in everything. After a turn, stepping on the tail is especially important for holding the board and maintaining your position, so I think it’s good to be conscious of that. I’m doing a bit of Skurfing here , but the idea of stepping on the tail is the same when scarfing. [Music] You take off and do one pump, two pumps, three pumps to accelerate, but this one just kind of faded. Well, that’s how I’ve put together the Kamakura video. Thank you for watching until the end. If you liked this video, please give it a thumbs up and subscribe to my channel. I’ll see you in the next video.
