ふらっと出かけた場所を紹介しようと思います。
2025年7月に山梨県にある「忍野八海」に行きました。
富士五湖とその周辺の観光スポットを巡ります。

・忍野八海
その昔、忍野湖は富士山の噴火活動を何度も経て、徐々に富士 裾野と御坂山系との狭間を水触、掘削排水され長い期間の後、ついに湖は涸れました。
富士山の伏流水に水源を発する湧水池がいくつか残りました。
その代表的な湧水池が「忍野八海」です。
富士山に降り積もる雪解け水が、地下の不透水層という溶岩の間で数十年の歳月をかけてろ過され、澄み切った水となりました。
忍野八海は「形状、水質、水量、保全状況、景観、仏教思想（富士信仰）など」の観点から、昭和9年(1934年)に国の天然記念物に指定され、昭和60年(1985年)に、環境庁から全国名水百選に選定されました。
また、平成6年(1993年)には、県富嶽百景選定地にも指定。
・榛の木林資料館
榛の木林資料館は 18世紀後半に建てられた現存する忍野村最古の茅葺き民家 渡邉家を開放した資料館です。
館内には、当時そのままの家具や家財道具、蚕の養殖場徳川時代の 武具、重要書類などが展示されています。
開館時間：9時～17時まで
中学生以上300円、小学生以下150円
・忍野八海 浅間神社
浅間神社(忍草地区)は大同2年(西暦807年)に創建されました。
桧皮葺屋根・三間社流れ造りの本殿は村指定文化財です。
本殿には、木花咲耶姫命・鷹飼・犬飼坐像の三神像が祀られています。
正和4年(西暦1315年)にヒノキの一本造りでつくられた、県内で最古の貴重なご神像といわれています。
祭神は木花咲耶姫命、天津日高日子番能邇邇芸尊、大山津見命の三神です。
1200年以上前の創建であり湖が涸れて忍野八海が出現した頃（1186年）に現在地に社殿が再建されたと伝えられます。
1193年に征夷大将軍・源頼朝が富士裾野の巻狩りの際に鳥居地峠がら鬼坂までの約5万坪を境内と定めたと云われております。

In July 2025, I went to Oshino Hakkai in Yamanashi Prefecture.
I’ll be touring the Fuji Five Lakes and the surrounding tourist spots.

・Oshino Hakkai (Eight Lakes)
Lake Oshino long ago experienced numerous eruptions from Mount Fuji, gradually becoming eroded and drained through the gap between the foothills of Mount Fuji and the Misaka mountain range. After a long period of excavation and drainage, the lake finally dried up.
Several spring-fed ponds remain, fed by the underground waters of Mount Fuji.
The most representative of these spring-fed ponds is the Oshino Hakkai (Eight Lakes).
Meltwater from Mount Fuji is filtered through impermeable lava rocks underground for decades, resulting in crystal clear water.
Oshino Hakkai was designated a National Natural Monument in 1934 based on its shape, water quality, water volume, conservation status, landscape, and Buddhist beliefs (Fuji worship). In 1985, the Environment Agency selected it as one of Japan’s 100 Famous Waters.
In 1993, it was also designated as one of the prefecture’s 100 most scenic views of Mount Fuji.
-Hanumanoki Forest Museum
Hanumanoki Forest Museum is a museum open to the public, housed in the Watanabe family home, the oldest remaining thatched-roof house in Oshino Village, built in the late 18th century.
The museum displays original furniture and household items, a silkworm farm, Tokugawa-era weapons, and important documents.
Opening Hours: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
300 for junior high school students and older, 150 for elementary school students and younger
・Oshino Hakkai Sengen Shrine
Sengen Shrine (Shinobukusa District) was founded in 807 AD.
The main hall, with its cypress bark roof and three-bay, nagare-zukuri style architecture, is a designated cultural property of the village.
The main hall enshrines three statues of Konohanasakuyahime, Takakai, and Inukai.
Made in 1315 AD from a single piece of cypress wood, these statues are said to be the oldest and most precious in the prefecture.
The enshrined deities are Konohanasakuyahime, Amatsuhidakahikobanno Ninigi, and Oyamatsumi.
Founded over 1,200 years ago, the shrine was rebuilt in its current location around the time the lake dried up and Oshino Hakkai appeared (in 1186).
It is said that in 1193, Shogun Minamoto no Yoritomo designated the area of ??approximately 165,000 square meters from Toriiji Pass to Onizaka as the shrine grounds during a hunting event at the foot of Mount Fuji.
