KYOTO -Okazaki- Hello, and thank you for watching. This time, we’re taking a two-day, one-night trip to Kyoto. We’ll be enjoying cafes, lunch, and antique shops in the Okazaki and Nanzenji area. I hope you’ll enjoy it until the very end. ☺ First, we’ll visit a machiya cafe in Okazaki. It’s a hidden gem of a tea and gallery. This luxurious space is filled with carefully selected antiques from Japan and around the world, and we’ll be enjoying carefully selected, pesticide-free green and black teas. For our welcome drink, we’ll enjoy homemade Japanese tea. The desserts are also homemade. A refreshing sorbet that’s both visually appealing and delicious. Oh, delicious! The antique glass is beautiful. Even the ice is made from tea, so the flavor doesn’t dilute even when it melts. Such thoughtful touches… The exquisite taste . The antique items on display in the gallery are a feast for the eyes. Meanwhile , I came across a display shelf I’d been searching for for a long time. It was just the right size, so I decided to buy it! It will be delivered at a later date. Both the gallery and the cafe were wonderful, and it’s a place I’d like to visit again. It was a wonderful time. It was delicious, thank you for the meal. Next, for lunch, we went to a restaurant serving authentic French charcuterie (ham, sausage, and other processed meats). They only use pork raised locally in Kyoto. The soup was potato vichyssoise, exquisitely delicious. The croissant was chock-full of jambon ham! The meat pie, which took about 20 minutes to bake, was delicious . The aroma of butter was wonderful. The crispy crust was filled with the sweetness of the pork. The Comté cheese melted into the rich flavor! Delicious!! It was so delicious I already want to eat it again. The dine -in portion was so delicious that I decided to get takeout for dinner today. It was so hard to decide, which one to choose. It was delicious, thank you for the meal. I wanted to pair it with a hard bread, so I went to a German bread specialty store in Okazaki…! They follow traditional German recipes and are handcrafted from start to finish, from the yeast to the flour! I ordered takeout for today’s simple dinner. The charcuterie (←I learned that word lol) was consistently delicious and paired perfectly with the nutritious German bread. I woke up a little early and took a stroll around Nanzenji Temple. It was still sparsely populated, making it the perfect morning for sightseeing. This is the best part of staying in Kyoto! ☺ The popular Suirokaku area was also relatively quiet, allowing me to explore at my leisure. After enjoying my stroll around the area, I arrived for an early lunch. I enjoyed my meal while admiring the beautiful garden. I broke the egg and ate! The chewy homemade noodles and the Kuroge Wagyu beef were delicious. The Kyoto-style Kujo leek and dashi broth were also delicious. It was delicious, thank you for the meal. Next, I stopped by a pottery shop I’d been interested in. Photography wasn’t allowed inside, but it was a lovely shop. I purchased some pottery by an artist. ♪ After a short walk, I returned to the Okazaki area. Summer in Kyoto is hot, after all! It’s essential to hydrate after a short walk. Let’s stop by a cafe! 🍨 This record cafe was renovated from a traditional Japanese townhouse. Jazz music plays inside the cafe. ♪ Ginger ale with a tangy kick of Japanese pepper. It’s perfect for warming up against the summer heat! The daily gelato is watermelon. Truly watermelon. Cool down with a refreshing sweetness . If you’re a jazz fan, this is a place you definitely want to visit. We arrived just after 2 p.m. Luckily, there was a seat available. ♪ It was delicious, thank you for the meal. Finally, for today’s final stop, let’s visit the Light Shop. Entering the shop, you’ll be overwhelmed by the sheer amount of lighting! They carry lighting fixtures from the Meiji to early Showa periods. The retro space has a nostalgic atmosphere. Personally, I love lighting, so I chose it after talking with the shop staff about various things 💡 I’ve been there ~ now, let’s head home and briefly introduce my purchases ♪ I bought some tableware from “Utsuwaya Akanon”. It’s tableware by Kado Riwako, who is made at Kanroku Sanbo in Nagano Prefecture. I was attracted by the warm texture of the clay and the cute pattern… I also bought a plate from “Rokuro” that I liked the size of. It will make the dining table more enjoyable… From “Tachibana Shokai”, I bought this light. I fell in love at first sight with the pleated design with a touch of red. Thank you for watching! Hope to see you in the next video. Have a nice day!
