How are you all?Welcome to the Nabe Travel Channel.This time, I’m going to be visiting Asaya Hotel in Kinugawa Onsen, Nikko City, Tochigi Prefecture.Asaya Hotel has been in business for 130 years and has won various awards, including the Buffet Inn Grand Prize and the Hot Spring Grand Prize for seven consecutive years.I’m really looking forward to it.What kind of hotel is it?So let’s take a look together.Don’t forget to like and subscribe to the channel.Now, let’s check in and take a room tour.Today’s room is Room 1228 on the top 12th floor.What kind of room is it?The door is open.It ‘s the type of room where the entrance and the room are separate.What kind of room is it? The colors are calm and prestigious.It ‘s a room that gives off a sense of elegance.It may not be very spacious, but this is the view from the top floor.The Kinugawa River spreads out below.You can hear the sound of the river babbling. I think the bed is a double bed. On this side there is a luggage storage area, as well as indoor clothing and a safe . This is the toilet. The toilet has also been beautifully renovated and is now barrier-free. It has a massage chair. I think I’ll go to sleep while having a massage after taking a bath in the hot spring later. This is nice. There seems to be a welcome drink in the fridge. Drinks are free, so these are great snacks to go with tea. This is wonderful. This area is the tea set. It contains two bottles of beer, champagne, Pocari Sweat, and water. It’s really nice to be able to get it for free, this is great service. I made a reservation through Rakuten Travel this time. I got a luxury buffet plan and my room was a 42 square meter deluxe twin room on the top floor of Shuhokan. For two people for one night and two days on weekdays, it was 55,000 yen including tax. Some rooms were around 50,000 yen for two people. Also, there are discounts on reservations through Rakuten Travel on days that end in 0 and 5 , so please try using that as well. Next, let’s take a stroll around the hotel. First of all, the building is divided into Shuhokan and Hachibankan. Shuhokan has a gorgeous and modern atmosphere, while Hachibankan has a calm Japanese atmosphere. This time, I stayed at Shuhokan, which mainly serves buffets, but at Hachibankan, you can enjoy a course meal in a private room at a traditional Japanese restaurant. Shuhokan has many rooms with good views, while Hachibankan has mainly Japanese-style rooms, some of which have open-air baths. Most of the facilities are concentrated in Shuhokan. You can feel the history of the Asaya Hotel in the library and kids’ space, and there are many types of activities such as karaoke, billiards, table tennis, fortune telling, and a game center. There is also a pipe organ in the lobby on the first floor, and music echoes throughout the atrium of the building. It is a very calming space. This is Hachibankan. The atmosphere is completely different, isn’t it? There are several lounges, but this premium lounge is exclusively for guests staying at Hachibankan. Next, I would like to go and see the hot springs. Kinugawa River has been burned for a long time. You can enjoy the alkaline simple hot spring, known as Kawaji of Injury. There is a large bath, an open-air garden bath, and a private bath, and you can enjoy Asaya Hotel’s own carefully selected baths. Personally, I liked the open-air garden bath, which is located at the highest point in Kinugawa Onsen. It has also been ranked first in East Japan for seven consecutive years in the hot spring inn category of the Biglobe-sponsored Hot Spring Awards, and is known as the Yokozuna of the East. After the hot spring, you can relax with a massage. Next, I would like to take a look at the dinner buffet at Asaya Garden. Asaya Hotel has also won the Buffet Inn Award. Not only the hot springs, but the buffet is also very popular. The food is made with a focus on the freshness and deliciousness of the ingredients, and the atmosphere is comfortable. In the immersive live kitchen, you can enjoy freshly made dishes that appeal to all five senses . The tuna looks delicious and has a beautiful color. For dinner, you can enjoy a wide variety of Japanese, Western, and Chinese dishes. There were many Chinese dishes that you won’t find in other hotels. With so many menu items, I thought it was a buffet that could be enjoyed by both children and adults. And in the live kitchen, they make pizza, pasta, and sushi baked in a pot right in front of you. I think this really makes a difference in taste. I’m very happy. There was also a wide variety of other dishes from the live kitchen, such as meat hotpots, which were all really delicious. There was also a wide variety of desserts, both Japanese and Western, as well as ice cream, so there were plenty of desserts to choose from . Thank you all for your hard work. We caught a lot. Among the sashimi, sea bream and snow crab are included in the all-you-can-eat menu. I went in June and they also had grilled sweetfish. The dinner buffet was satisfying in both variety and quality. Thank you for the meal. Next , let’s take a look at the breakfast buffet at the private room restaurant Wisteria. You can enjoy 60 different dishes, from Western to Japanese, just as much as the evening menu. And there are more than 20 types of fresh salads, from standard salad vegetables to rare vegetables. There is a wide variety of Japanese food. Of course, there is grilled fish, but the simmered dishes are also very delicious. The mushroom soup and clam soup are amazing, wonderful . The name of the head chef is written on the Asaya Hotel’s website. From my past experience, I think it is important that the head chef’s name is properly displayed on the menu and website . There is usually no mistake. You can enjoy it with peace of mind. By the way, the recommended breakfasts are the topped omelet, morning curry, and the special French toast. There are also plenty of juices. For breakfast, we chose a menu centered on Japanese food . Each dish was delicious. Both breakfast and dinner were very satisfying in terms of quality and quantity .
