or more Q) Is this made here? Yeah, we mix the batter and stuff at the Waki
shop, then just grill the takoyaki here . We used to do mobile sales all over the
place , but the landowner said , “Why not do it
here ? ” That’s how we ended up here. Been about a year and a
half now . We post like crazy on Instagram, so
people come seeing that. About 80% are those “spitako ” folks. What age group
comes? It’s not limited to any generation. Young folks come, and people come specifically for the
Spitako . Maybe around 60 or so? Under the blazing sun, business begins… Got some ice-cold drinks . Pouring oil . 12:00 Open. Roadside takoyaki run by the old man. Parking available. Bizen Ohashi specialty : Spitako 700 yen

passed… Staff orders Spitako and shaved ice . Preparing the ice . There are waves. When it comes, it
comes, though. Shaping it. Squid Ink Black. Here you go . Squid Ink Black complete! Cold shaved ice is the absolute best! Free shaved ice is super hot! Still zero customers… Summer, you know, that takoyaki place… Everywhere’s like
this, but summer sales, or rather, volume, just
drops. Other places serve shaved ice alongside
it, but this year we’re not really selling it . We’re giving free shaved ice to folks
who come to buy , to pass the time while
they wait . We felt bad not offering free shaved ice . On the flip side, when it’s this hot , the shop’s like a signboard, so we gotta
keep it open properly. Otherwise, customers won’t recognize us. It’s fine… Weekdays are just like this. Plus, I do Instagram Live every day , so some people come just to see that. Why don’t we go out of business? I wonder why… lol . Even the old man doesn’t really get
it… We don’t make anything ahead. S) Is it this big? About 40 grams. One whole one is too big to make into
takoyaki, so we cut it in half and grill it first . We use fresh baby octopus. Soy sauce glaze . Grilled . We grill it raw first before adding the
batter. It gives it a nice roasted flavor. Pour in the batter. Since the octopus is big, the usual amount of batter won’t make
takoyaki. So we add about this much extra batter to make big takoyaki balls. We add tempura bits, pickled ginger, and green onions . S ) Is it easier with chopsticks? If you
look here , it’s a copper plate. We call
it a copper plate. If you use something
like an iron skewer, it scratches. We use
vegetable chopsticks here. Gradually , the
octopus broth starts to come through. Full
of octopus umami. We make takoyaki with
our whole heart and soul . S) It comes
from the octopus , you see. The umami just
keeps bubbling out of it. When it mixes with the batter, it becomes
delicious takoyaki . The flavor changes completely compared to
regular takoyaki . 14:32 A man in work clothes approaches. The “brother” bringing snacks arrives . S) Snacks? More like, I always bring them . S) I think the takoyaki here is pretty
unique. It’s got raw octopus in it. Right now they’re big, but come winter,
we’ll have whole ones in there. It’s delicious. You won’t know until you try it. Ordering the usual two. Making the standard takoyaki. This one’s standard takoyaki. This one also has raw octopus. Extra batter . Yeah, like this . Since it’s five balls, these two are

The fluffy, melt-in-your-mouth texture is
irresistibly delicious. Chatting while waiting . Flipping 12 pieces. Shaping them nicely . 12 regular takoyaki complete! Just sauce , no mayo was fine, right? Yeah. Sauce, aonori , tempura flakes. Sorry. Thank you very much . It’s convenient that you can just drop
by by car. Honestly, about 80-90% of our takoyaki customers are repeat customers who love
our Spitako . We’re supported by fans and
word-of-mouth from them. I think it’s great there are so many kinds
of takoyaki . As for the flavor and finish of our
takoyaki , we’ve elevated it to a level
we’re proud to serve anywhere. We cook each ball one by one. Takoyaki lovers will understand once they
try it. I ‘m confident about that . S) Some places close during the hot
season , but do you operate year-round? Yeah , we do . We plan all sorts of festival-like events
, like free shaved ice . S) How did you start the takoyaki shop? Well , there were various reasons… ~ I was running a company, but I couldn’t quit that job . Around that time, my wife mentioned she’d like to run a takoyaki
shop when she got older . So we thought , “Why not give it a shot? ” That’s how we started together . Sales fluctuate, and it gets tough sometimes. But when customers tell us , ” Your takoyaki is delicious,”
or “I’m glad I came,” You can check us out with the hashtag
#Spitako , and honestly , lots of people promote us .

2号店?1号店には何度か行きましたが相変わらずベチャベチャ感が伝わってきますが味は美味しくなっていると良いですね。
1号店の時、後から来たお客同様ポテトを注文した時私はMサイズ後から来たお客はSサイズ先に後から来たお客にMサイズ約10分後、私にSサイズ…「これMサイズ?」って聞いたら「Mサイズじゃ」って袋見たら分かるのに順番間違えたうえにへっちゃらで嘘を言ってきました。もぉ信用もできないし、たこ焼きの味も…あれだし私は2度と行きませんがかき氷が無料らしいので気になっていると方は行ってみては?
