BEP CUA ME used to be called TRE VIET. It is located behind Kosugi Station next to AL Plaza. It is the kind of local Vietnamese restaurant brought about by the influx of Vietnamese immigrants who have become the largest minority in Toyama, and this is where some of them congregate especially on Saturday and Sunday night. So you know the food is legit, though it may not be fresh nor may Japan have the ingredients needed for absolute authenticity. Still, BEP CUA ME serves tastes that are unique to Vietnam, and not commonly found in Toyama, which can be refreshing. It seems that the normal Japanese usually order PHO or BAHN MEE. Those are definitely good, especially the noodles (PHO and BUN BO HUE). However, if you have time, spread out into different dishes to get a better sample of what Vietnam has to offer.
