🍧 Featured Menu
Kashiya’s Shaved Ice (without Warabi Mochi)
Around ¥1,050–¥1,080. A luxurious creation made with carefully selected ingredients: Nara lacquerware, pure ice, whole azuki beans from Tanba, chilled shiratama (rice flour dumplings), premium kanten jelly, and rich matcha syrup.
Kashiya’s Shaved Ice (with Warabi Mochi)
For a small additional fee, you can add warabi mochi to enjoy an even more exquisite texture and flavor.
Other offerings include seasonal wagashi (traditional sweets) sets served with matcha or sencha, as well as combinations like “steamed manju with matcha,” “matcha and seasonal sweets,” and “coffee with seasonal sweets.”

🍵 About the Shaved Ice
Kashiya is renowned for its uncompromising commitment to quality ingredients. Reviews frequently describe the flavors as “far exceeding expectations.”
Recommended way to enjoy it: Save a bit of the matcha paste and combine it with the jelly at the bottom to savor it “anmitsu-style” at the end.
As the shaved ice is seasonal and available in limited quantities, it tends to sell out, especially during the summer months (May–September). Arriving early is highly recommended.
Service is thoughtful and refined: you’ll first be served cold-brewed sencha, followed by a warm cup of tea after your meal.

🏡 Ambience
The shop is set in a charming traditional Japanese townhouse. You’ll find preserved historic features like earthen floors, step tansu (chest-staircases), and old ceremonial torches, which add to its nostalgic atmosphere.
Soft jazz music plays in the background, creating a peaceful and relaxing setting. With only 10–15 seats, the space is intimate and serene.
Reservations are highly recommended, especially during the summer shaved ice season when the shop can get very busy.
