Okayama Unveiled: Sharing the Secret Side of Japan | Part 2

Welcome to part 2 of our three day Okayama trip, where we explore the hidden gems of Okayama Prefecture and share places that most tourists will never see.

We go underground into the depths of Makido Cave, through the historic streets of Katsuyama with its famous noren, and into the charming Shinjō Village, home to one of Okayama’s most beautiful sakura-lined streets. We finish up at the breathtaking Mount Daisen, the Fuji of the west!

So grab a tea or coffee, sit back and experience a quieter, slower side of Japan.

  1. We really enjoyed day two of our Okayama trip, despite the hot weather. Les's favourite stop was Shinjo Village, and mine was Makido Cave. What would be your pick?

  2. Loved the video! Thanks for another awesome upload. Watched it this morning with my wife. One of the things that stood out to me the most was how incredible it is that you guys saw a pretty river and just decided to take a swim. The fact that is even an option for you is something so cool! Having clean, cool water available on a hot day is amazing. We had to laugh about the "separate stomach" phrase because we also use something similar when it comes to dessert. Thanks again!
