【JAPAN BLUE】徳島でプライベート藍染め体験を♪
徳島。日本の藍染め文化が今も息づく場所。
鳴門市のSTUDIO N2では工房を貸し切って、贅沢な藍染め体験ができます。
大きな藍甕の中にはたっぷりの染液が。
工房の中は藍の独特な香りに満ちています。
藍の葉を発酵させた「すくも」と呼ばれる染料のもとを、
水と天然の素材と混ぜ合わせ、毎日手入れをしながら“生きた染液”を育てているそう。
まさに職人の感覚が頼りの、繊細な工程。
布を折ったり、縛ったりして模様をつけ、
何度も染め液に浸すことで、濃い藍が生まれます。
染めた直後は緑色に見える布。
それが空気に触れることで、魔法のように藍色へと変化します。
日が昇っている明るい時間に訪れるのがおすすめ。
自然光に照らされ、透きとおったブルーを手にすることができますよ。
世界に一つだけの色と模様を、布の上に表現してください！

Tokushima — where Japan’s indigo dyeing tradition still lives on.
At STUDIO N2 in Naruto City, you can rent the whole workshop for a private, hands-on experience.
Inside the large indigo vat is a deep pool of living dye.The air is filled with the earthy, distinct scent of indigo.
This dye comes from sukumo — fermented indigo leaves,blended with water and natural ingredients.It’s cared for every day to keep the dye “alive.”
It is a delicate process that depends entirely on the artisan’s touch.
You fold or tie the fabric to create patterns,then dip it into the dye over and over —each layer bringing a deeper shade of blue.
Freshly dyed fabric first appears green…but as it meets the air, it transforms —turning a magical shade of indigo.
Early morning is the best time to visit.Natural light brings out the clearest, most vibrant blues.
