📍 福建·灵通寺｜建在悬崖上的千年寺庙

在福建漳州的深山里，我无意间发现了一座仿佛挂在悬崖上的古老寺庙——灵通寺，也被称作“闽南悬空寺”。它坐落在灵通山擎天峰的半山腰，海拔近千米，背靠峭壁，脚下是万丈深谷，整座庙宇就像藏在悬崖的一道缝隙里，安静而神秘。

一路沿着被称为“天梯”的石阶攀爬，两侧是郁郁葱葱的原始森林，走到半山亭时，我抬头望见了那座“贴”在峭壁上的寺庙，整个人瞬间被震住了——太像仙境了。

灵通寺始建于唐代，已有千年历史。它的佛殿直接修在悬崖天然石洞中，外观看起来就像“挂”在半空中，只靠几根木柱支撑，却稳如磐石。走在那条贴着岩壁修建的“天街”，一边是洞穴，一边是深渊，真的步步惊心又奇妙无比。

最让我难忘的，是站在大殿前的平台上，脚下是云雾缭绕的山谷，头顶是峻岩高耸，一瞬间，仿佛整个人都静下来了。这不仅是一座寺庙，更像是人与自然之间最静谧的对话。

📍 Lingtong Temple, Fujian | A Millennium Temple Built on a Cliff

In the deep mountains of Zhangzhou, Fujian, I stumbled upon an ancient temple that seemed to be hanging on a cliff – Lingtong Temple, also known as the “Southern Fujian Hanging Temple”. It is located halfway up the Qingtian Peak of Lingtong Mountain, with an altitude of nearly a kilometer. It backs onto a cliff and faces a deep valley at its feet. The entire temple seems to be hidden in a crevice of the cliff, quiet and mysterious.

Climbing along the stone steps known as the “Heavenly Ladder”, flanked by lush virgin forests, I arrived at the Mid-Mountain Pavilion. Looking up, I saw the temple “sticking” to the cliff, and my entire being was instantly stunned – it resembled a fairyland too much.

Lingtong Temple, established in the Tang Dynasty, boasts a history spanning over a thousand years. Its Buddhist hall is nestled within a natural stone cave on the cliff, giving the appearance of being “hung” in midair. Supported solely by a few wooden pillars, it remains steadfast like a rock. Strolling along the “Sky Street” carved into the rock wall, one finds oneself flanked by caves on one side and an abyss on the other, creating a breathtaking and incomparably wonderful experience with every step.

What I find most unforgettable is standing on the platform in front of the main hall, with a mist-enshrouded valley at my feet and towering cliffs above my head. For a fleeting moment, it feels as if the entire world has quieted down. This is not just a temple, but more like the most serene dialogue between humans and nature.
