The Osaka Subway/Osaka Metro 21 Series (大阪市営地下鉄21系/大阪メトロ21系) is part of the massive new 20 Series fleet procured by Osaka Municipal Subway (before privatization). The 21 Series currently serves the Midosuji Line (御堂筋線). They are originally fitted with GTO-VVVF traction control system, though refurbished units are all refitted with Hitachi IGBT-VVVF traction control system.
