【新潟観光】地元民おすすめのグルメから絶景まで!十日町市・南魚沼市には魅力が詰まってた。

帰りました。 English: Good morning . We are a newlywed, unemployed couple who are traveling around Japan on our honeymoon, eating lots of delicious food all over the country. Today marks our 20th prefecture, Niigata Prefecture. We’ve finally reached 20, so starting today we’d like to travel around various parts of Niigata. It’s the rainy season now, and the rain is approaching. Today is a rare sunny, or rather cloudy, day with no rain. The sun isn’t out much, so today we’d like to visit various scenic spots in Niigata Prefecture. As for the area, we ‘d like to visit Tokamachi City and Minamiuonuma City, in the lower part of Niigata. I’ll overlay this area on Hiyori and bring out the map . We ‘ve already arrived at our first spot , so let’s go and see it. Let’s go. I wonder if I can see it if I go up here. There are stairs next to the parking lot, so I’m going with the simple assumption that it must be here, but is it really okay to go here? Really? Huh? Not quite right? As I go further… Oh! I can see it! It’s here! Eh… I feel like something’s not right. It’s not what I thought. I was wrong! It was hard to see from the previous place, but this is it. Wow , it’s so beautiful ! Amazing! It’s so vast ! It’s the rice terraces of Hoshitoge. Apparently, this place has been selected as one of Japan’s 100 most beautiful and hidden places. It’s famous for its sunrises and starry skies. I couldn’t make it tomorrow morning, but I’ll do my best. I still managed to get up at 5:30. I traveled yesterday, so this was the limit of time I had. To see the sunrise, I had to come at 4 o’clock. And the scenery reflected in these rice fields is beautiful. It was forecast to be sunny this morning, so I made an effort to get up. But the weather forecast changed and it got cloudy, so nothing was reflected . The sky wasn’t reflected at all . I was actually supposed to see blue sky, but the moment I woke up in the morning, I opened the curtains and was like, “It’s cloudy!” But it was really beautiful . The rice fields are terraced, and even when it’s cloudy, it’s so beautiful, so it’ll be amazing when it’s sunny. Isn’t it? Well, let’s take a photo. There’s a donation box set up to protect the rice terraces. We too, don’t make a small donation, but we should donate. We don’t carry cash, do we? For people like that, there’s PayPay donations. Wonderful , this is incredibly helpful. The Hoshitoge Rice Terraces Preservation Society PayPay donation completed. Now we’re on our way to the next spot, another scenic spot. It’s cloudy, so I’m a little worried, but let’s go. Why is it cloudy? So, we’ve arrived at Bijinbayashi (Beautiful Forest) . This is a place full of beech trees. These beech trees are slender. When it snows, trees often fall over, but apparently this is called Bijinbayashi because of the beautiful way these beech trees stand. Apparently beech trees are strong against snow. They’re really beautiful , aren’t they? It’s dangerous to get lost in the mountains and not see the pond that’s our destination. Lost, lost Hiyori, where do you live? A car! What? A car? It was supposed to be sunny here too. It’s really cloudy , but when the sun shines on it, it’s beautiful. This way ? Are you sure? I wanted to go to the reservoir, but… I took a wrong turn and turned back and there it was. This is it, right? Meltwater and water from trees collect here, and apparently in the past it was used as a water source for terraced rice fields and the like. This seems to be an artificial pond. I think it would be incredibly beautiful if the light let in. Sorry, I couldn’t get a good video of it, but even without the light, I’ll try my best to bring you some beautiful photos. Oh no, it’s starting to rain. It’s raining really hard . Why? The rain forecast said it would start in the afternoon, and it’s only 9 o’clock! It’s raining too much! I didn’t hear anything! Let’s go, let’s go! Is the rainy season here? Has the rainy season just started? The rain actually stopped! It stopped the moment we arrived! Just when I was about to give up, the moment we arrived it cleared up! I ‘m a sunny girl, Hiyori, and I’m the real Weathering With You, so I’m trying to calm the rain down now It’s starting to rain a little again but let’s quickly enter the tunnel I’ll tell you where we are later on There ‘s the entrance Oh no, oh no, it ‘s raining, it’s raining So we’ve come to this, Kiyotsukyo Gorge Tunnel I ‘m sure many of you have seen the most famous part So we’ll pay 1,000 yen for adults to enter Let’s
go Purchase tickets We purchased tickets 1,000 yen per person, making it 2,000 yen We go through this tunnel and it seems it will take about 60 minutes round trip Let’s walk to the amazing valley . You can walk on water once you reach the end of the valley. So let’s go to the very end of the valley. You can walk on water like this. It said you can walk barefoot or with shoes. We bought water-repellent shoes, so we can go. Amazing . You can see all the way to the back. It’s so beautiful. The rain has stopped. Amazing . So we slowly headed back. This edge is shallow, but the center is deep . Be careful. So we arrived in Minamiuonuma City. And for lunch we went to Tonkichi. This restaurant was recommended to me by a junior colleague who is originally from Minamiuonuma City. It ‘s truly recommended by locals! We were looking forward to it, so let’s go. 味気ないですね! English: I’m looking forward to it! Here it is! Seared pork cutlet. This is the first time I’ve heard of it . What is it? It seems to be a signature dish and I read the reviews and everyone is eating it. The pork cutlet is topped with grated daikon radish, seaweed, green onions and shiso leaves. I don’t like shiso leaves (my husband did). Let’s eat! It’s delicious ! The tonkatsu is crispy and well seasoned, but the grated daikon radish on top makes it very refreshing . I could eat as much as I wanted. This is delicious ! So here it is! It’s pork steak. Isn’t it huge? Really huge. Looks delicious. I’d like to try it. It’s super tender and delicious. The pork is so tender. The rice is also really delicious. I hear the rice here is homemade. When I come to Minamiuonuma, I wanted to eat rice. This is amazing! What ? Amazing? The fat spreads in my mouth. The meat has a nice chewy texture but is soft. Wait a moment. It’s also delicious even when eaten alone. It’s sweet , isn’t it? I could eat a whole bowl of rice on its own. I love rice so it’s really delicious! Thank you for the meal! It was so tasty! Thank you for letting me know! I’ll come again ! : It’s a complex that houses a sake brewery, restaurant, general store, and more. I’d like to visit some of the places that interest me. Let’s get going! It’s raining so much. So, this is the Hakkaisan Yukimuro. This place is quite famous, isn’t it? The snow room is where sake is stored and aged at the temperature of the snow , it’s the limit, you know? You can experience the temperature of the snow room, see the sake that is actually stored there, and learn about Hakkaisan, so let’s go. I didn’t mention this at the beginning, but this facility is run by Hakkaisan Brewery, and they actually make not only sake, but shochu, beer, and amazake as well. There are various places such as a place to store beer and where sake is made, but since this is a snow room, do they have sake or shochu ? Let’s take a look. But … I heard there is a tour for 500 yen. I think I should go. Is that okay? Really? And so, to my surprise , I got the OK from my stingy husband! So we’re going on a tour. Let’s go and sneak into the snow room. It’s cold! Even 4 degrees is cold. The temperature is maintained at around 5 degrees throughout the year. It’s amazing there’s no air conditioning. This tank contains about 360,000 liters of Hakkaisan Junmai Ginjo undiluted sake, which is too much for me to even consider. If we bottled it into 1.8L bottles, it would be 200,000 bottles and I couldn’t drink it all in my lifetime. This sake has been stored in the snow room for 3 years, so it is very mellow and delicious. So if you don’t mind alcohol today, please try a sample. I would like to have one! This is the snow in the snow room. We add snow only once a year and it is cooled to the temperature of this snow. After the tour is over, we are able to start tasting, so I will try one. This time, my husband is tasting it. It’s Hakkaisan, which has been in the tank for three years. It’s so delicious! You can drink the sake you saw, it’s so delicious! If you have the money, please try some other sake too . Can I try other sake too ? It’s icy cold! It ‘s only available in the summer, right? Special Junmai Genshu Hakkaisan Summer Limited Edition This one has been aged for three years, but this one has hardly been aged at all. It ‘s true that when you drink them together, this one is softer, or rather, mellower, and this is Uonuma. Regional limited sake. The smell is strong. Isn’t it too open? Junmai Daiginjo It’s like I haven’t had Hakkaisan before. It’s light and easy to drink . It’s delicious . I can only say it’s delicious. Which one is your favorite? The three-year aging is my favorite. I tried a lot of them and it was amazing. You drank so much. How many glasses did you drink? I don’t know, maybe five or six. I drank them outside the video too. Each one is different. Was it different after all? I was embarrassed to give my opinion because an expert was right in front of me. You can tell that the three-year aging is mellow. Also, my recommendation is “Uonuma de Soro.” It was delicious. It felt like the ultimate Japanese sake, but the aroma was also strong and left a lasting impression . The last one I drank, “Junmai Daiginjo,” had a strong aftertaste. It’s clear that everyone has their own type of easy-to-drink sake, and apparently they also make beer, so I’d like to go and check out the beer after this. ” That guy who’s a little drunk, hello, hello, Hiyodaruma- san . We’ve come to the beer brewery, so let’s go! There’s a roof from here. Wow, why is it raining like this? It’s raining too much. It ‘s raining so hard. I never thought I’d wear the jacket I bought for the Alpine Route again. It’s raining, so it’s perfect. Now, off to the brewery ! Those amazing beer brewing tanks! “Yes, there are! Yes , there are! Hiyori-san, I’ll pay for this, so can I drink it?” I asked, and ordered beer. We ordered two types of alcohol. I ordered gelato. Let’s each drink and eat. Let’s eat. I’ll start with the pilsner. It says it’s easy to drink, very clear, and has a clean finish. Then I’ll have the strawberry , which says Echigohime strawberry from Niigata. Let’s eat . Delicious, super strawberry ! Wow! Amazing! Strawberry [This is a terrible food review.] It feels like the strawberries have been crushed. This one is white. It has a light body made from a combination of koji and barley, and a spicy aroma from the yeast. It’s kind of spicy. It certainly has a dry flavor. So, is Pilsner easier to drink? Pilsner is easier to drink. This one has a rich chocolate flavor and is delicious. The best. Personally, I prefer Pilsner. You’re not listening to what I’m saying at all. You’re not listening to me at all . What’s wrong? You’re listening, but what’s wrong? You said the chocolate is delicious. That was great. To be honest, I wasn’t very knowledgeable about it so I just thought it was a famous sake that I’d heard about, but they also serve beer, have gelato, and they even have a bakery. It was 30% off so it was cheap. It’s sausage epi. I love epi. There are sausages. It’s delicious. They also sell beer merchandise and I want some. Damn, Uonuma is the best . I might live there. Thank you for the meal. The gelato is also great. So, it seems like this guy is done, but for drivers like me today or people who don’t like alcohol, they can have non-alcoholic amazake. Shut up! Don’t get in the way! If you see it for sale in the store, it costs 200 yen. In reality, I went on a tour for 300 yen. And it wasn’t just this, just like the alcohol, there were four kinds of amazake, so I was able to sample them all. They were all delicious. I’m here , so why not drink some ? Shall we have a drink? Itadakimasu, delicious! Quite sweet , delicious, small voice. That’s all for today’s video. Today, from the spectacular views of Tokamachi to the delicious food of Uonuma , and finally, the alcohol! It was so much fun, so much fun, are you okay? The Niigata edition is still continuing, so please look forward to it. So if you like this video, please subscribe and rate it highly. I’m also on Instagram and X, so please follow me. We won’t say it together, as always, please shelve this video. *We won’t. So see you next time! Bye-bye! Thank you for watching! We update videos every Tuesday and Saturday! Make sure to check out the bonuses too! Bye-bye! Good night , good night, I’m off. It’s starting to look brighter now, I can’t believe it, really
