【熱海】会員でなくても宿泊可能!東急ハーヴェストクラブ熱海伊豆山 /熱海商店街食べ歩き11選♪ Tokvu Harvest Club Atami Izuzan

Hi, this is the “Mata-Tabi Channel.”
We left the inn in Shuzenji where we stayed the night before, and today, we’re going to explore around Atami Station before staying at Tokyu Harvest Club Atami Izusan & VIALA. We’ve introduced other Tokyu Harvest hotels here on our channel as well. We’ll be adding more in the future, so please subscribe to our channel♪ We also have a compilation video of Hotel Harvest properties on our channel. Please check it out from the description♪ This Atami Izusan we’re introducing today is not covered by the Tokyu Fudosan Holdings shareholder benefits we usually use. Our luck came when my wife’s workplace, a corporate member of Tokyu Harvest Club, won the lottery for a stay. Some rooms, including VIALA, are also open to non-members via booking sites like Ikkyu and Yahoo Travel. The rates are higher than for members, but non-members can also stay! Here’s the menu for this video. 11 Must-Try Atami Street Foods♪
Great dining spots for lunch or a room-only stay
Tokyu Harvest Club VIALA Atami Izusan Private Open-Air Onsen Baths Dinner Buffet “Oliva” Breakfast Buffet “Oliva” We’ve arrived at Atami Station. We plan to take the free shuttle bus to the hotel, but first, we’ll take a stroll through the shopping streets in front of Atami Station. Let’s start with our 11 selected eats from Atami’s shopping streets♪ There are so many shops perfect for snacking as you stroll around Atami Station! Most are in the shopping street right in front of the station—great to drop by when you visit. We’ll show you a digest of the shops we visited over our two-day trip. If you have your own recommended spots, please share them in the comments♪ First stop: Isoage Maruten, founded in 1989. They’re famous for their deep-fried fish cake made with seafood. Their No.1 bestseller, the “Tako Stick,” is packed with volume♪ It’s loaded with big pieces of octopus and absolutely delicious! Sakurai Shoten, a hot spring manju shop, has been around since 1955. The moment you enter the street, you’re drawn in by the mouthwatering aroma. Sweet red bean paste—just the flavor we were hoping for! The price is easy on the wallet, so it’s hard to resist picking one up. Right near Maruten, Kameyama Shachu has been in business for over 50 years. They’re known for manju shaped like Atami’s mascot, “Atsuo.” These skewered manju are so photogenic you just want to take a picture, and of course, they taste great too♪ Abe Shoten, founded in 1960, is located right across from Maruten. Their homemade “Iira Manju” is a local favorite. They’re bigger than your usual hot spring manju—so satisfying♪ They’re served piping hot and fresh. Atami Square Cream Puff opened in 2019. They specialize in cream puffs made from carefully selected local ingredients. Their bread-shaped cream puff is perfect for Instagram. The rich, gooey cream inside is heavenly♪ Ichigo Plaza Daifuku-ya is run by “Daifuku-ya” from Mishima City, Shizuoka. Their strawberry daifuku, made with “Beni Hoppe” strawberries from local contracted farms, is especially popular. It was quite large and really satisfying to eat. It seems they have several locations within Shizuoka Prefecture. Terakoya Honpo, founded in 1985, is a Kyoto rice cracker shop. It was near the entrance of the shopping street, and we were drawn in by the aroma. This one, made with Izu wasabi, is exclusive to the Atami store. The sharp spiciness is addictive. This one with ichimi chili pepper was also delicious. Atami Fruits King is a stylish shop that opened in 2020. It’s a shop where we can enjoy delicious fruit sandwiches, but we went for refreshing drinks instead. It’s perfect to sip while walking toward the beach, about 10 minutes from here. Next, let’s introduce a famous shop. Atami Pudding, founded in 2017, is also known as a key player in reviving Atami tourism. It’s a place with long lines on weekends, but it’s definitely a must-visit. The milk-bottle-like container is retro and cute♪ It pairs perfectly with caramel sauce and tastes amazing♪
It’s a classic, but highly recommended! This is a new shop that opened in December 2024. We can enjoy yogurt made from Tanna milk, using only fresh milk from eastern Shizuoka. The design is stylish, and we really liked it. The strained yogurt is sticky and extremely rich! The last stop of our food walk is a shop run by the long-established Japanese confectionery “Mataichian,” founded in 1871. We can enjoy the exquisite sweet-and-salty flavor of red bean paste combined with mellow butter. The Atami Butter Anpan is packed with red bean paste and feels heavy in the hand. It goes perfectly with the mild, slightly salty butter—another recommended treat! From Atami Station, we can reach Atami Sun Beach in about 15 minutes on foot. We enjoyed a leisurely stroll while feeling the sea breeze. Hotels line the area, and in recent years, new ones have been increasing. We can also see the famous “Kanichi and Omiya Statue” here. For lunch, we headed toward the Atami Ginza shopping street. It was once the town’s center and has been slowly regaining its liveliness in recent years. We spotted a few interesting shops along the way. For lunch, we visited Misato Atami. It’s a popular spot for fresh seafood, with lively fish swimming in the tanks. They also have weekday-only lunch specials. Around noon on a weekday, we just barely got in without lining up. We recommend this limited-quantity lunch. The fresh horse mackerel was exquisite♪ Since it’s limited, be quick! The weekday lunch was a great deal. The most popular squid mince was packed with meat and absolutely delicious♪ You should try it! Here are the 11 shops from our food walk. Here are the 11 shops from our food walk. We returned to Atami Station, where there’s a free footbath available. The “Ieyasu no Yu” footbath is open from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. In front of that footbath is a road leading to the bus stop. The Welcome Bus requires no reservation and is free, but we recommend going early as it gets crowded. We headed to the hotel while enjoying the sea view. It took just under 10 minutes by car from the station to the hotel. We arrived at Tokyu Harvest Club Atami Izusan. Tokyu Harvest Club Atami Izusan & VIALA
824-5 Izusan, Atami City, Shizuoka Prefecture, 413-0002, Japan
・Check-in: 3:00 pm
・Check-out: 11:00 am
・All rooms have ocean views
・Hot spring large bath and sauna available
・Rooms with open-air hot spring baths available
・Free shuttle from JR Atami Station This time we used it as part of our corporate membership, but it was hard to get a reservation. As we entered the front lobby and walked in… We arrive at the area that is the symbol of this hotel. From the viewing terrace, we can enjoy a stunning panoramic view! We’re on a hilltop 75 meters above sea level, and the sea breeze feels wonderful. We check in at the front desk. It was very crowded with guests from the shuttle bus. There was also a self-check-in machine. There are three wings: the Main, the South, and the East. The layout is quite complex. There are three wings: the Main, the South, and the East. The layout is quite complex. In the Main Building, the lobby floor is actually the top floor, and we take the elevator down to our room. We stayed in a room on the 3rd floor of the East Wing. As we walk along the Main Building’s hallway… The East Wing is called VIALA annex Atami Izu-san. From here on, we’ll introduce the shared facilities along with a floor map so it might be useful for you. We stayed in Room 1305 on the 3rd floor of the East Wing. Let’s check out the room. The room we stayed in was a deluxe Western-style room. It’s about 30 square meters and can accommodate up to 3 people. All rooms are non-smoking. It’s a calm and mature atmosphere. First, let’s start with the bed area. The twin beds were nice and fluffy♪ At the bedside, there’s a light, a phone, a notepad, and an alarm clock. Next to a driftwood-style decoration, there are power outlets on both sides, which is convenient. Inside the bedside drawer, we found a safe. There’s also an air purifier by the bed. Next, the living area. The sofa bed is spacious♪ We spent most of our time here. As a welcome treat, there were golden-eye snapper rice crackers. There’s a large TV on the wall. This one even had YouTube built in. Please subscribe to “Mata Tabi Channel”♪ A BOSE Blu-ray player was also provided. In the drawer under the TV, there were samue robes and a tanzen coat. The comfortable samue can be worn in the public bath area, but not in the front lobby or restaurant. However, if dining at the Japanese restaurant “Kiraku,” you can wear it with the tanzen coat at dinner. The tanzen coat was nice and warm. There’s a desk next to the TV. It’s spacious, great for workcations. There were a hotel guide, mirror, and insect repellent device. Inside the drawer, there’s a laundry bag and flashlight. Now, let’s check out the minibar. It has a mini sink, which is handy♪ A T-fal electric kettle. On the shelves, there’s an ice bucket, cups, and glasses. Green tea was provided. The fridge is large. The bottom section even has a freezer. Drinks in the fridge are charged. In the drawer under the sink, we found bathrobes. They were comfortable and perfect after a hot spring bath. Near the entrance, there’s a closet. We stored our luggage in this space. There’s a deodorizing spray and hangers. We have a spot to place our luggage. We also have slippers and sandals prepared. The restroom is in its own separate room from the wash area. Now, let’s look at the view from our room. When we open the window, the sound of the waves fills the air. At Tokyu Harvest Club Atami Izusan, every room has an ocean view. Let’s take a look at the scenery from the room. A breathtaking view of Sagami Bay spreads before us! We can enjoy this scenery luxuriously throughout our stay♪ We could even see Izu Oshima Island in the distance. From the sofa bed, we can relax while gazing at the sea. We enjoy the view while sipping coffee♪ Since there’s a door in front of the bed, we can close it if the sound of the waves feels too loud. And this room even has its own hot spring bath♪ Of course, this too comes with an ocean view! We press the button to fill the tub with hot spring water. Facing Sagami Bay, “Hashiriyu” is one of Japan’s three oldest hot springs, flowing from a cave. Its water type is sodium-chloride strong saline cold mineral spring (hypertonic, neutral, cold). We spend blissful time enjoying the view. The washing area has plenty of space. The shampoo and other amenities are from POLA. In front of the washing area, there’s a sink space. There’s one sink, and we’re happy it comes with a chair♪ Face & hand soap. We also have various amenities prepared. Hairbrush, shower cap, razor, cotton swabs, cotton set, toothbrush. POLA makeup remover, lotion, and milky lotion. POLA hair liquid, hair tonic, aftershave lotion. A KOIZUMI hair dryer. Face towels and bath towels. When we go to the large bath or pool, we bring them from our room. Next, let’s explore the hotel facilities. Built on a slope, the layout is quite complex like other Harvest Clubs. On the main building’s 1st floor (East Wing 1F), there’s a spa lounge. It’s a space where we can relax on the sofas. There’s a paid coffee machine (300 yen per cup). Right in front of the spa lounge, there’s a pool available for free. We can enjoy an infinity-like view merging with the ocean! It’s open from 2 PM, so we can use it even before check-in♪ We can lie back on the bed chairs and take our time. Beside the pool is an observation area. It’s calm and has become one of our favorite spots. We can gaze at Sagami Bay and the townscape of Atami. From the observation area, stairs lead down to the entrance of the South Wing. The main building’s 2nd to 5th floors have parking, connected indoors, but we can also enter from outside here. Now we enter the South Wing. The main B1F and South Wing 5F are connected by elevator. On the South Wing’s 5th floor, there’s a post-bath lounge and rooftop terrace. It’s close to the large bath, making it convenient as a meeting spot♪ The spacious carpeted area also seems perfect for kids to relax. Next, we head to the large public bath on the basement floor of the main building (South Wing 5F). Large Public Bath It’s open from 2 PM to midnight, and from 5 AM to 10 AM. We bring towels from our room. Unlike the lobby or restaurant, here we can wear yukata. During the day, we enjoy infinity views of the ocean; at night, we gaze at the starry sky—just perfect! They use two hot springs: one from their own source and “Hashiriyu,” one of Japan’s three oldest springs. We enjoyed it all—jacuzzi, dry sauna, cold bath, and mist sauna—while looking out at the sea♪ Shampoos are by POLA and Kao Fiesta. There’s a water dispenser, plus luxury dryers like Refa and Repronizer 7D. The amenities were the same as in our room. Inside, there are handrails, but maybe a few too many steps. There’s a rest area inside with ocean views, and a meeting spot right outside the bath. Near the bath area, there’s a laundry room. Washing costs ¥100–¥200 depending on whether detergent is included. Dryers cost ¥100 for 30 minutes. Nearby, there’s a kids’ room—no reservation needed, it’s a free space. They have drawing supplies and building blocks ready. There’s also a game corner. And karaoke and mahjong rooms. At the back of the quick massage corner… We find free massage chairs. They’re a bit hidden, so it was quiet—a real hidden gem. Next, we visit the shop on the lobby floor (LF) of the main building. Shop Local specialty products are lined up here. We can even buy “Goshoku-age” from Maruten, which we featured earlier in our Atami shopping street food tour♪ We bought two drinks. The Izu lemonade had a refreshing taste—highly recommended. On the same lobby floor in the East Wing is the VIALA members-only lounge. We can’t enter, but it has comfy sofas and great views. There are vending machines throughout the building—some sell ice cream, others sell cup noodles and alcohol. There’s even a microwave—essential for room-only stays. It seems only Harvest members can book pet-friendly rooms in the South Wing. Back in our room, we watch the sea as the sun sets. We soak in our private open-air bath and relax. Next, we head to the family bath (private hot spring) on the top floor of the main building. Two family baths are available for ¥3,300 per hour, from 3 PM to 11 PM. They’re closed the next day, so if you want to go during daylight, we recommend booking in advance. Once we’ve booked our stay, we can call to reserve. Like other Harvest hotels, they have baby beds. Luxury Repronizer 7D hair dryer♪ POLA cleansing oil, lotion, emulsion, and hand & face soap. Hair liquid, hair tonic, aftershave lotion. Hairbrush, shower cap, razor. Heel cream often seen at Harvest, plus cotton swabs. Tap water here is safe to drink. There’s also a bath chair for assistance. They have two baths—this is the indoor one. Spacious and comfortable♪ with handrails, too. POLA shampoo and conditioner. Kao Fiesta shampoo and conditioner. And an open-air bath with an amazing view! Soaking in the hot spring while feeling the sea breeze—just the best♪ Spacious and comfortable♪ with handrails, too. Tokyu Izu-san Onsen is a sodium-chloride strong saline cold mineral spring (hypertonic, neutral, cold mineral spring). We gaze at the night view of Atami city and feel pure bliss. Since it’s the top floor, the view is amazing—we totally recommend it. It’s dinner time! We’ve come to the buffet dining “Oliva.” It’s located on the main building lobby floor (LF). The drink menu is really extensive. The buffet menu felt a bit small in variety… …but we got the impression it’s filled with carefully selected local dishes. Especially the appetizers—there was a great selection of delicious ones♪ We also enjoyed colorful salads. At the live kitchen, we can get roast beef♪ We can choose either fond de veau sauce with wasabi or an apple butter sauce. There’s even a live kitchen for sushi & seafood bowls! We can enjoy sushi made by the chef as many times as we like♪ Fresh seafood caught right off Atami’s coast is served here. There’s also a live kitchen for freshly fried tempura. Besides tempura dipping sauce, we could also choose “snow salt,” and it was delicious. There are many other kinds of dishes, too. Every Harvest location has a different curry—Atami’s was European-style and very tasty. They had vitamin water from Germany—Mix, Apple, Orange flavors. Coffee, café latte, cappuccino. Tea, black tea, herbal tea. Colorful desserts are lined up. Many of them were refined and delicious. We’ll share the accommodation price & final thoughts at the end of this video. Also on the lobby floor, “Grill French Cote et Ciel” offers a full French course meal. The lobby floor’s night view terrace has such a lovely atmosphere♪ We enjoyed the night view of Atami city. We woke up around 6 a.m. and watched the sunrise. Breakfast was again at Buffet Dining Oliva—the drinks are plentiful. Green smoothie, mandarin orange yogurt. Tomato juice. German vitamin water—Mix, Apple, Orange. Coffee, café latte, cappuccino. Tea, black tea, herbal tea. Fruits and yogurt. Cornflakes, Fruit sauces for yogurt and more. Japanese-style breakfast dishes. We can also enjoy local specialties. Satsuma-age fish cakes with the Harvest logo. At the live kitchen, we can get egg dishes. Fried eggs. The omelets were soft and creamy♪ Shizuoka’s local dish—horse mackerel magochazuke. We also had Inaniwa udon noodles. Multigrain rice, and even European-style curry. They also have bread, so those who prefer a Western breakfast can relax♪ We’ll share the room rates and our final thoughts right after this. For breakfast, no reservation is needed, and we can also enjoy it at “Japanese Restaurant Kiraku.” We could look out over the sea beyond the greenery of the garden. It’s located on the first floor of the main building. We were able to complete checkout from our room using the LINE app. When we checked in, we asked at the front desk and had them issue a special QR code for us. We checked out at 11 a.m. and took the shuttle bus back to Atami Station. This hotel has such an amazing location! The views from the large bath and the pool will stay in our memories. We really felt like we were stepping out of our everyday life, and we could see why it’s so popular. The buffet is for grown-ups, with a selection of only the truly delicious dishes. Since it’s built on a cliff, the layout inside is a bit complex. We often lost track of where we were. Even though it was a weekday, there was a long line for the shuttle bus! And at check-in, the front desk was quite crowded. It can get pricey through booking sites, but we can recommend this hotel to anyone. They also have universal rooms and private open-air baths for wheelchair users. It seems these next ones are for Harvest Club members only, but— There are even rooms where we can stay with our pets. Sadly, it’s not covered by Tokyu Fudosan Holdings shareholder perks. We stayed using a corporate membership from my wife’s workplace. As of the time we’re posting this video, you can still book through sites like “Ikkyu.” It’s super popular and hard to book, but we truly recommend it! Tokyu Harvest Club Atami Izusan has a fantastic location where we can fully enjoy the sea and hot springs— And it’s also convenient as a base for sightseeing. If this was even a little helpful, please give us a thumbs up and subscribe to our channel. Thank you so much for watching until the very end!
