母の故郷が瀬戸内海の小さな島です。親戚もみな島を離れ過疎が進んだ島は何年も前に定期船はなくなりました。
子どもの頃、夏休みには毎年家族で訪れてはプライベートビーチと化す海岸で海水浴をするのが楽しみでした。当時、瀬戸内海の穏やかな海は当たり前の風景すぎて有り難みも何もなかったですが、この動画を見て、そうそうこの雰囲気と思い出し、懐かしさで胸が熱くなりました。
すっかり忘れていたのに、この素敵な動画のお陰で、なんと贅沢な時を過ごしていたのかと自慢したい気分です！
戻れない夏、2度と行けない故郷を思い出させていただき本当にありがとうございます。
日本に帰国してからの二人の旅は本当にリッチですね。愛媛もここも今ボクの泊まっているハノイの宿の１０倍だ。でもそれで最高の旅ができるのならオーケイかな。パイセンの下調べもすごいですね。チャーリー
