Matsuyama Japan Travel Guide | Matsuyama Castle, Ishiteji Temple & Dogo Onsen

Welcome to Explore Travel TV. My name is David and I’m Jen and this is another episode of Where Are We In Japan. We This is a 15-day tour, 10 days on a cruise uh in Japan. If you haven’t seen the other videos yet, please go back and watch them because we have stopped in a lot of places. This is like day five or something now. So, we’re like our halfway point, I think. And it just seems like we’ve been here forever. But, it’s been so nice, so beautiful. Uh today, we’re in Matsuyama, I believe, is how that is pronounced in Japan. Uh this is our little guy. to give it to us here uh the night before. We are on the Viking um Yeong uh ship if you haven’t uh caught up by now. That’s where we’re at. We’re on the ship and we’re on a uh a tour package from Japanet America. Super cool those guys. It has been amazing. They have handled us uh very nicely. Um Jennifer has some so many accommodations. Yeah. Yeah. She doesn’t eat fish like raw fish and stuff and and in Japan you’re going to they’re going to have a lot of it. There’s a lot of fish. Dave is in heaven otherwise. Yes, I’m in heaven. Um but they are making special arrangements for her and there was a couple other people on this trip as well. Um they’re going overboard, like way overboard. This is first class plus A++ treatment we are getting here. Uh um today we’re going to go see a castle and we’re going to go see a shrine. another shrine and some other stuff, too. We just kind of go along with it. You’re going to see it here on the video. Uh, cruise tip of the day. Let’s do that. Okay, go for it. What do you got? All right. So, I got these um little water cantens. They keep your water or whatever refreshment you have in it cold for up to about I think like 8 to 12 hours, something like that. And it’s got this little hook on it which I have attached a carabiner and I can then attach it to my little backpack that I have. But it fits really cute and snug in the side pocket here. Let me show that to you. You remember how many ounces this one was? I feel like these are 18. It could be 18. Yeah, I think these are 18. And so, yeah. So, I’ve got my carabiner and I am just fastening it to the loop on my backpack. And so, when I put this, I should say backpack, this is a cross body. But yeah, it doesn’t fall out. Um, it stays in there. When I want to take it out, I just unhook it. um open it up and have a sip of my water so I can stay hydrated. Hydration is important on these trips. Yeah. So, and you can find this product on Amazon, which we will give you guys the link to. Yep. And and her sling bag, too. Well, I’ll drop that down here cuz she really likes that one. It’s nice. It’s really nice. I’ve already had a couple of comments on it, compliments on it, and a couple of the ladies u wanted to know where I got it, and so we’ll share that link as well. Comes in different colors, different um things. It’s got this cute little pouch on the front that fits my S23 Ultra. So, it’s nice, big, and roomy. And there’s pockets everywhere to put things in. Yeah. And then this is my water bottle. The same same brand, just different color. Uh, so they have like dozens and dozens of colors. So many colors. Uh, and again, I strap it to my backpack. It fits in the side pocket, but sometimes they fall out. So, that carabiner connect it to something on your backpack, which really helps uh keep it in case if you, you know, drift drops off. So, uh, keep the water in there. We actually put some hydration uh stuff in it, the liquid IV hydration in there as well. So anyways, that’s kind of our tip of the day for traveling here. [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] Hello. [Music] Wow. [Music] Queen. [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] Yeah. Hey. Hey. [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] Heat. Heat. N. [Music] Heat. Heat. N. [Music] [Music] Are you [Music] Okay, this is the end of the day. What did you think so far? I thought it was very busy and fun and educational for those who don’t know anything about Japan’s history or anything to do with their belief system over here. Oh, yeah. The the the castle was cool as you saw, you know. And then we did a uh shrine. What what was it? Buddhist temple. Buddhist temple. Yep. And then and then the oldest onen which is a um a bath. Like what do you call those? A it’s a hot springs. Hot Springs. Hot Springs Bath. Um, oldest in Japan. That we didn’t go in it though. Um, because you’d have to you have to pay and you have to do things and you have to bathe naked and we weren’t going to do that. Uh, now tomorrow we’re going to Takashima. Takashima I believe is how you pronounce it. I’m not sure exactly what we’re doing uh tomorrow. So, uh, if you would like to find out what we’re going to do in there, follow our video for tomorrow. Um, otherwise uh I think this has been great. It’s been great. We still have a few more days left on the cruise and then two more days in Tokyo after that. Mhm. And then um then I have to go home back to work. Well, so we can go on more vacations. Yeah. Yep. Cuz I’m ready to book another cruise. Oh. Oh, yeah. By the way, if you didn’t know that, this is her first cruise. And you know what? She’s hooked. So, she’s already ready to to book new more cruises. So, hey, and if you like this kind of cruise, remember again, uh we have a travel agency. We can book you on this cruise to Japan Japanet cruise to Japan. Uh there’s only two three slots available for next year. So I’ll I’ll put my information down below. I know I said that earlier today, but I’m saying it again because it’s really cool and you got to do it if you can. If you can afford it, come on, do this. It’s so worth it. I know like looking at like the price tag, some people might think it’s spendy, but for what you get and the type of service and catering to Mhm. I mean, they have really gone above and beyond for anything and everything that we need. Exactly. So, um yeah, it was all good. Uh I don’t think there’s any other recaps other than um of course there was more steps if you were mobility challenged. Um we do have a lady that uses a wheelchair. She has a like a broken foot or something. And then another lady that has a cane. So, there’s there’s some that are kind of mobility challenged, but they’re they’re they’re roughing it. They’re toughing it. They’re doing they’re doing really good. And there’s always a lot of help. And if you notice, we’re in our pajamas in bed because we’re about ready for bed. And you know what? It’s only 8:30 and we are exhausted. There’s there’s stuff going on on the ship right now. There’s there’s music venues. There’s all kinds of stuff going on. Uh we’re tired. We have to get up tomorrow and do this again. So, yeah, we got in early today, but we did um take advantage of the high tea that they have. Oh, that was fun. Yeah. Yeah. with the little sandwiches and the macarons and what else did they have on that plate? I mean, all kinds of little treats and stuff. Yeah. Some biscuits or scon and then some really nice tea. They had a good variety of teas to choose from. And we didn’t even want to go out to dinner, so we did the room service. So, if you saw that uh picture of the hamburger actually was really good. It was thick. It was juicy. Um I asked for a side of onion rings and they delivered. It wasn’t on the menu, but they delivered it. Um, really good hamburger. It was the best takeout burger I’ve ever had. Yeah, we just seriously for room service. So, anyway, so we’re going to bed. So, remember, life is short, so it travel more. Sit all.
