Suddenly, along the coast… A wonderful restaurant has appeared✨️ All kinds of fish Sea paradise🐠🎣 Setouchi Sea Paradise Special! so good! Wow, it even has high-end fish like HAMO! Very delicious! It’s very big, isn’t it? violence of the conger eel The soup is delicious too The Seto Inland Sea is delicious! so good. The train comes once an hour I sit on a bench and listen to the cicadas When the sun was high, I boarded a one-car train (sound of train rattling) The train stopped at a small station the doors open and a gust of wind blows in We’ve arrived at Ozu Castle! The Ozu castle welcomes us The Hiji River flowing beneath Ozu Castle On the banks of this rich river， The castle town of Otsu flourished Do you know how to read this? Hijiboutei… “Elbow bridge” Cross the bridge to the old town Ozu old town is good! The atmosphere changes when you cross the bridge There are lots of nice shops That’s right I just really wanted to eat warabi mochi… This is the cafe I was aiming for👀 Senpai, I’m glad you got to eat warabi mochi The expiration date is 20 minutes! eat quickly! Warabi mochi made from 100% warabi flour is very rare The texture is juicy and soft Real warabi mochi… The unique texture of warabi mochi Somewhere between liquid and solid It’s delicious even without black sugar syrup Slightly sweet Ozu Castle Town, where old streets remain intact today This town is reusing and preserving historical buildings Fujimoto Hospital: Various shops are located here This incense… The case is cute too I think I’ll buy it as a souvenir What a stylish building! This is an old beauty salon! NIPPONIA HOTEL OZU A decentralized hotel utilizing various old houses Each of the old houses you stay in has a different history. I’m so happy to be able to enter the room We were able to check in early Huh? This isn’t a room! I thought I was in, but I was still outside courtyard spacious! We could play hide-and-seek here. Nice room Why are old houses so comfortable? very good calming I really like NIPPONIA Hotel I’m a fan of NIPPONIA What a great initiative, restoring old houses Lounge in an old storehouse All drinks here are free Can I drink all of these? There’s some amazing wine here🍷 Do you know the legend of Ehime? Orange juice comes out of the tap Ehime is famous for mandarin oranges NIPPONIA Ozu is a decentralized hotel There are buildings all over the place The restaurant is in front of Otsu Castle (*Shuttle service available) At the foot of Ozu Castle~ View of Ozu Castle Ozu Castle is lit up at night! NIPPONIA uses local ingredients to offer seasonal cuisine NIPPONIA’s food is stylish Let’s eat The paprika brings out the flavor of the fish Paprika is helping the fish like a samurai The combination of fish and paprika is unusual But they blend together perfectly Paprika Samurai! It smells good! Amazing! It feels so refreshing Basil shaved ice This is the secret ingredient This is the best soup I’ve had recently This is beef from Ehime Prefecture I see… It’s not too rich Just the right amount of fat The meat is tender delicious The cooking is perfect Very delicious I guarantee that the food at NIPPONIA is delicious! Inside this cake… Summer is captured inside this! I love this mandarin orange a little bitter This bitterness expresses the bittersweet feeling of summer! amazing! “Summer in Japan” The breakfast area is next to this shrine We plan to have breakfast on a boat, but… This place is beautiful too It’s amazing that the breakfast venue and dinner venue are different When the wind stops in the morning, the surface of the Hiji River becomes like a mirror A cool wind River Cruise Breakfast: Reservation required Please check NIPPONIA Ozu’s website for details It smells good Breakfast on the river is very nice so refreshing I feel great Beautiful blue The water surface is beautiful People in the old days enjoyed boating Now I understand why So beautiful Very refreshing It’s like a kaleidoscope Wow,Cool! There’s a fireworks display tonight the Ozu Fireworks Festival How many years has it been since I last saw fireworks? I’ve seen small fireworks before, but I haven’t been to a fireworks display in a long time Let’s go to Uchiko Town during the day Uchiko? Why are you laughing? I made myself laugh… Iyo-Ozu Station → Uchiko Station (20 min) Uchiko Town used to prosper from the production of wood wax A townscape characterized by rows of wealthy merchants’ residences Wow! Kou Kou-chan There are lots of nice shops in Uchiko This place is really amazing It’s a good to visit along with sightseeing in Ozu not too far away I wanted to come to this cafe Red bean and green tea flavors The rice has a little salt in it which brings out the sweetness I really like koshi-an (smooth red bean paste) The smoothness is irresistible I prefer tsubu‐an(red bean paste with whole beans) Which is more popular? About half and half, apparently Shall we ask? Not Smooth 54% : Smooth 46% Do you like red bean paste? Are they open? Kamihaga Residence You can get a glimpse of the lifestyle of wealthy merchants of the past I want to relax here for a bit The interior is really nice I really like Uchiko　town It feels like summer in the Edo period This house is amazing too I’ve seen lots of old mansions, but… I liked that hallway Let’s go to a popular seafood restaurant They’re sold out of sea bream rice I was really looking forward to it… Sold out! What should we do? Let’s find another restaurant There seems to be some around here Ehime’s local dish, “sea bream rice” Eat red sea bream with egg and soy sauce sauce on rice It’s better not to mix it too much That way you can enjoy the different flavors Let’s eat! This is amazing! so delicious! The sauce with broth is delicious The eggs are doing a great job! so smooth super delicious We returned to Ozu Town Nice, summer festival Fried chicken, takoyaki… This feels nostalgic It’s been a while, summer festival How long has it been since the last fireworks festival? More than 10 years? What are fireworks…? Where’s a good place to watch them? 夏の愛媛をローカル鉄道で旅する２日間🌟 “海が見える駅”として有名な下灘駅から始まり、古い町並みが残る大洲・内子町を観光。古民家を改装した《NIPPONIA ホテル大洲》でくつろぎのひとときを過ごし、夜は《大洲花火大会》で久しぶりの夏祭りを堪能してきました（撮影日:8月3日）。

    初コメです。私の母が大洲市出身です。今は離れた東海地方で住んでますが、小さい頃、大洲へ行った記憶は今も忘れていません。最後の花火を見ながら涙が…。いつまでも残したい日本の原風景ですね。素晴らしい映像ありがとうございました。

    映像はクリアなのに、ほわっと柔らかな光の加減なのか空気感なのかが、とても心地よいです。
