ここは青森県の深浦町。あまり知られていないかもしれませんが、実は自然の宝庫ともいえる場所です。世界自然遺産・白神山地があり、神秘的な青池やブナの森が広がる「十二湖」は必見。また、日本海に面した千畳敷海岸や日本キャニオンなど、ダイナミックな海岸美も魅力です。夕陽スポットとして名高い大岩や、海辺に湧く「黄金崎不老ふ死温泉」では、絶景と湯を同時に楽しめます。さらに、深浦は県内随一のマグロの水揚げ地でもあり、海の幸も格別。山も海も豊かな、まさに“まだ知らない日本の美”が息づく町です。

This is Fukaura Town in Aomori Prefecture. It may not be widely known, but it’s truly a hidden treasure of natural beauty. Nestled at the edge of the World Natural Heritage site Shirakami-Sanchi, the town is home to the mystical Aoike (Blue Pond) and the lush beech forests of the “Twelve Lakes” area. Facing the Sea of Japan, Fukaura also boasts dramatic coastal landscapes like the Senjōjiki Coast and the Japan Canyon. The massive rock at Daiwa is a famous sunset spot, and at the seaside Koganezaki Furofushi Onsen, you can soak in hot springs while gazing at the ocean. Fukaura is also Aomori’s top landing port for tuna, offering exceptional seafood. With its vibrant mountains and seas, this is a place where the undiscovered beauty of Japan quietly thrives.
