That’s why we’re doing this site check in person. Heading to the Tsukude area in Shinshiro via Aichi Route 21. I use Route 21 as often as Route 69, which I introduced last time. Route 21 for Tsukude, Route 69 for Horai—that’s my go-to setup. Almost time to join National Route 301. For small bikes like the Monkey 125, I recommend local roads over highways. Now on Route 301. Lots of fast cars here, so stay alert. The ups and downs on this road are tough. You really feel it with a 125cc. Huh? What’s with all the traffic? Oh, three police cars. Something going on? They’re basically escorting us down the road. I can see the first stop—Panya Mogi. Time to part ways with the police. Not very crowded since it’s early. On weekends, they open as early as 6am. I got an anpan and a milk France. Can’t wait to pair them with coffee. Here’s the entrance to Chill Spot Candidate 1. We’re heading into the woods. Uh-oh, this road’s unpaved! Lots of branches from logging. Gotta be careful or you’ll get whacked. I thought I saw a good spot around here on Street View… Oops, missed it. Turning around and parking. From what I saw on Street View, this spot looked promising, but… Yeah, not really chill-worthy. Same on the other side—not great. Candidate 1 is a no-go. And this road… man, it’s rough. Let’s get out of here. Next stop: Tsukude Handmade Village. “Keeping the town beautiful—with your taxes.”
Clear and honest. I like that. I can see the sign. Almost there. We’ve arrived! Lots of bikes here. Just parked with the help of the staff. Sadly, it’s before 9AM, so nothing’s open yet. Couldn’t buy a thing. Moving on to Chill Spot Candidate 2. Saw some interesting spots on the way. Turning back to check them. Hmm, not really chill-worthy here either. This place looks promising though! Great view, but still not ideal for chilling. I think Candidate 2 is somewhere around here… Ah, overshot it. U-turn time! Nice—a parking lot! That’s a good sign. Wow, this place is awesome. Looks perfect for chilling. Let’s get set up. Funny how solo camping gear I bought during COVID is finally coming in handy. I never thought I’d use it like this a few years ago. It’s iced coffee time—don’t forget the ice! Water’s boiled, now making the coffee. Fresh bread and coffee—the ultimate combo. And what a view! Candidate 2 is a total win. If you’re chilling in Tsukude, this is the spot. Let’s swing by Candidate 3 while we’re at it. Forgot to film the drive, but here’s Candidate 3. Looks amazing. 途中で立ち寄った「パンヤモギ」さんでは、美味しそうなパンを見つけたので、淹れたてのコーヒーと一緒に食します。

We took the Honda Monkey 125 on a ride through the Tsukude area of Shinshiro City, Aichi, in search of a quiet place to relax.
After narrowing it down to three possible spots using Google Maps and Street View, we visited each location to see how they felt in person. The results… were a bit unexpected.
