【関西・穴場】大阪から1時間「懐かしい静かな夏」絶景5選

Hello. I’m Ikeno Ueno, a summer lover. I’d like to introduce five spots just an hour from Osaka where you can enjoy a quiet summer away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Enjoy the nostalgic townscapes and mystical mountain paths to the end! Cicadas and green rice terraces symbolize the Japanese summer. This pristine, nostalgic Japanese landscape is found in Chihayaakasaka Village, Osaka’s only village. While abandoned farmland is on the rise, efforts are underway to preserve the beautiful landscape. You’ll also find spectacular views of Tondabayashi, including the PL Tower. ▲See the related video in the description. A mysterious shrine within walking distance of the secluded Inunakiyama Onsen. Away from the hustle and bustle of the city, this relaxing space awaits. It’s a 7-minute walk from the Inunakiyama bus stop on the Nankai Wing Bus. We pass through a small, Showa-era retro hot spring town. This is the main gate of the approach to Shippo-ryu-ji Temple on Inunakiyama. Beyond this point is a sacred area. Although there are many insects, it’s a little cool even in summer. It’s a valley with both large and small waterfalls. Ryokai Falls, the first of the Seven Inunaki Waterfalls, has a solemn atmosphere unique to Shugendo, and each waterfall is incredibly mystical. It exudes the feeling of being one of Osaka’s most secluded regions. The scenery is so cleansing it feels like it will cleanse your soul. A 35-minute walk will take you to Shippo-ryuji Temple. The spectacular “Gyoja Falls,” where ascetic practices are still performed, is a highlight. It’s a 15-minute walk from JR Kashiwara Station. The Taiheiji district is home to a traditional community of old houses. Historic streets unfold on a small hill. Kashiwara is also a wine-producing region. Grape cultivation began in the early Meiji period. In summer, you can enjoy the vineyard scenery. Katashimo Winery, the oldest surviving winery in western Japan, is also a great place to shop for wine at the direct sales store. There’s a wide selection. Stone Shrine, with its magnificent camphor tree, is said to grant women’s wishes. Many women visit the shrine to pray for success in love. Stroll through historic streets and wine fields. This hidden gem is hard to believe you’re in Osaka. ▲See the related video in the description. A village along the Kiyotaki River at the foot of Mount Atago in Kyoto Prefecture. A three-minute walk from the Kiyotaki bus stop on the Kyoto Bus. Quiet, natural scenery abounds. The townscape evokes a nostalgic feeling. While now closed, remnants of a beloved inn remain. Many viewers have left fond comments about the former Masuya Inn. It’s a lovely, relaxing place. The river’s water is incredibly clear. The restaurants and teahouses along the river blend in with the traditional scenery, creating a nostalgic atmosphere. A 40-minute walk from the village leads to a mystical waterfall. Kuya Falls, where the monk Kuya is said to have practiced his asceticism, is a hidden gem well worth seeing. ▲See the related video in the description. A 15-minute walk from JR Gojo Station. The castle town of Futami Castle was established approximately 400 years ago. Its buildings date from the Edo period to the Showa period. Gojo’s iconic Mochi Sho Ichihashi closed a few years ago. When I visited last year, it was open as an unmanned cafe. The townscape features lattice doors and plaster walls. It’s designated as an Important Preservation District for Groups of Traditional Buildings by the national government. The gentle atmosphere creates a relaxing atmosphere. The remains of a phantom railway remain. Construction stopped midway. These are the remains of the “Mythical Goshin Railway,” a planned but never realized project. Construction began in 1937, but was halted due to a lack of materials after the Pacific War began. Construction resumed after the war, but the dream of opening the line was dashed due to changing social conditions. This fascinating town allows you to experience history just by walking. Here are five spots to enjoy a quiet summer. Have you found your favorite spot? Please let us know your recommendations in the comments! Thank you for watching until the end.
