▶ Shilin Road, Lushan
Officially known as the Qinxian Line Shilin Section, this road is commonly referred to by locals as “Shilin Road” and is an important part of the Funi No. 1 Tourist Highway.
The section leading to the Central Plains Buddha is currently recognized as one of the most beautiful mountain roads in Henan Province.
Along the Shilin Road, the terrain is characterized by towering mountains and layered peaks, with the highest elevation reaching 1,080 meters and a forest coverage rate of 99%. The area offers picturesque scenery year-round: in spring, the mountains are ablaze with wildflowers; in summer, lush greenery provides shade; in autumn, the hills are adorned with crimson foliage; and in winter, the landscape is blanketed in snow, resembling a ever-changing landscape painting of the four seasons.

▶ Spring Temple Buddha
This Giant Buddha stands 208 m (683 ft) tall in total—108 m (354 ft) for the figure alone—making it the tallest Buddhist statue on Earth.
Its construction devoured 108 kg of gold, 3 300 metric tons of bronze, and more than 15 000 tons of specialty steel, all for a staggering price tag of 1.2 billion yuan (about $175 million).
When you step onto the platform at its feet, you’re literally standing at the physical limit of today’s colossal Buddhist art—208 m and still unmatched.
