Hi, this is @frenchie_outdoor. I’ve come to Koan Tent Village at Lake Motosu, where you can’t see Mt. Fuji. This time I brought a removable roof tent. As you can see, Koan Tent Village is covered in trees. This forest blocks sunlight, so it looks like it will be cool. There are many things I want to try out on this camping trip. I will be summarizing in threads the air roof tent, aerial photography of the blue Lake Motosu, footage tests from Slog3 to HDR, and verification of eel footage. First, I will share my impressions of using the air frame roof tent I purchased on Makuake. The peakpod website has more details, but the size is big enough for two adults to sleep in. I think the height when loaded is about +25cm. In my case, the combined height of my car is about 230cm, so there are many parking lots where I can’t fit it. When inflating the tent with the tent loaded on the roof, you have to be a little careful, as you have to stand on the roof or insert it partway up the ladder. It’s the size of the palm of my hand . 。 The electric pump doesn’t have enough power, so I plan to use a manual pump for packrafts instead. The rubber inside the included manual pump has stretched and is no longer usable… The structure is like an air frame tent placed on a mat with a hardness similar to that of a SUP. As I mentioned earlier about what bothered me, this tent has many advantages. If you deflate the tent and secure it with the cover, you can drive at high speeds. It weighs 17kg, so one person can remove it from the roof. After camping, I just take it down and lean it against the wall in the garage. The price is around 150,000 yen, so it can be purchased for about one third of the price of a regular roof tent. It addresses the disadvantages of roof tents, such as maintenance, weight, and vehicle height. There are still few air roof tents on the market, but I feel that demand will grow in the future. I hope that new designs and functions will come out. More than anything, I think spending time in a roof tent is a wonderful experience. Tonight, Hagi and I will be spending the night in the roof tent. Beautiful green reflections in the BLACK DRAGON tempered glass. I wasn’t able to take a photo, but I think it might not break even if a DEFENDER was placed on it. The contrast between light and shadow in this forest is very strong . I’m starting to get thirsty. The light is shining in here too. I’ll start with a Black Label. The shadows of the forest and the wind make it comfortable. For lunch, I had sashimi with garlic oil . Today I’ll use a fire pit with a trivet . The color of the fire pit is changing. This campsite allows open fires, but I’ll enjoy it in the fire pit. Even this season, there are lots of twigs and fallen leaves. I’ll burn them together with the firewood I brought with me. It’s Saturday, but this place is usually empty. I brought some large ice, so I’ll move on to a highball. I made the large ice in an ICECO tray. CUTTY SARK I often buy eel because it’s easy to get hold of and easy to drink. I put in a lot of firewood and make it like charcoal, then prepare to grill using the included trivet. I like to grill supermarket eel and see how delicious it will be, until the edges are crispy. I only have one, but I prepare two. By grilling it over charcoal, it becomes crispy on the outside and plump on the inside, and is very delicious. I put broth in the other one. I’m the only one in my family who eats eel. Eel, which can be enjoyed so easily and with such supreme quality, may be perfect for solo camping. Thanks to the pleasant breeze, I ‘ve been able to get through the day without breaking a sweat. I recently introduced large ice cubes, which don’t melt easily, so I think they’ll be useful in the future. However, the alcohol in the TEON overflows quickly. As the sun sets, the cicadas start chirping. I enjoy this sound with the bonfire and alcohol. A bonfire in a dark forest is something else. I went to bed early today, and tomorrow I plan to see the spectacular view at Lake Motosu. As soon as I woke up, this view felt special. I was scared and didn’t want to get off, so I started bargaining . In the end, I forced my way in. After this, I headed to Lake Motosu, which was right outside the campsite, and went packrafting.乗りました。 English : Will I be able to see Mt. Fuji and Lake Motosu at the same time? I was worried. It’s easy to ride if you fold it up lightly and put on the cover, but in the summer you will sweat quite a bit. When photographing Lake Motosu from above, you can see some very beautiful topography in some areas. The water is shallow near the topography, and you can see a beautiful gradation from light blue to blue. Thanks to the awning and roof tent, we were able to pack up very quickly. We moved to the parking lot outside the campsite. The sun wasn’t shining very brightly. My packraft gave me more options for campsites . I wanted to splash around in the water with my son, but we’ll save that for another time. Packrafts are very easy to prepare. I’m looking for a campsite to stop off at on my way back to Osaka for Obon. I’m looking for a cool, private place between the Tokai and Kansai regions. It’s a little cloudy, but the forecast is for clear skies later. It looks like I’ll need to paddle about 1km, but I’ll head there slowly, enjoying the scenery. The clarity of the lake is outstanding . It was early in the morning, so there were no people around and no wind. Unfortunately, I couldn’t see Mt. Fuji, but I was filled with satisfaction after witnessing the spectacular scenery.
