バンコクの渋滞を抜け出し、壮大な景色を眺めながら川船で旅する 🇹🇭 タイ
Today we go off on an adventure on a hop on hop off boat tour along the river here in Bangkok. We check out the Grand Palace, some temples, get some food and have a look at the reclining Buddha and much much more. Let’s get on with it. Out and about. Second day in Bangkok by the river. Stroll along the river. We’re going to get a boat and start visiting places along the river, all the temples and sites. Oh, you guys Now our first stop [Music] [Music] are you. [Music] Good morning. [Music] Going to try that for breakfast lunch. M tamarind. What’s your one? Pineapple. Just pineapple. That looks really refreshing. And that’s our pad thai with egg and chicken. And Ron is spicy. Mine’s not. That was it for our food. Let’s have a look at the packados. That’s elephant if in case you didn’t know what packadoom means. [Music] Huge stigodon. There we go. One time. The exterior of the palace. It’s one of the most beautiful roofs in all of Bangkok, maybe Thailand. Just reminiscent of Russia, I think, in Moscow. All the spires. That is really wonderful looking that you could imagine. Chrome. [Music] Walking in the mist. Worth it. We go in and take a look. roads and [Music] just [Music] I better go pedestrian hazard. Trying to continue to walk but can’t. Be nice to stand under that but I think I might lose an arm. At least an eye. Good way to water the gardens. Okay. All these people sitting up there. Oh no. You better turn it off. Okay, somebody may correct me on this if I’m wrong, but I believe at the back here of the royal palace, that’s the balcony the king and the royal family stand on when there’s a military parade because where just over there is the Ministry of Defense and I thought that’s exactly where they stand and he salutes the military along here comes along this street. We’re in the external area of the reclining Buddha. So, we’ll have a look around. I’ve been here before about 10 years ago, 11 years ago with one of my best friends. It was the only time I ever been here and now here with Rona. So, we’ll just have a walk around and show you a little bit about it. [Music] Fore! [Music] Foreign! Foreign! [Music] [Music] Fore [Music] [Music] [Music] are You [Music] don’t [Music] [Music] [Music] Foreign [Music] speech. Foreign speech. Foreign speech. [Music] Fore! Foreign! Foreign! [Music] Okay, now we will go in and see the reclining Buddha. your favorite. I Heat. Heat. [Music] Nobody wants to film here because it’s behind the Buddha. Buddha’s still a god from behind. [Music] [Music] Cool.
Cruising down the Chao Phraya River on Bangkok’s Hop-On Hop-Off Tourist Boat was one of the best decisions we made during our trip. With boats arriving every 30 minutes going either direction, we had the freedom to explore the city’s most iconic landmarks—Wat Arun, Wat Pho, the Grand Palace, and even the ultra-modern Iconsiam—all without battling Bangkok’s traffic.
We started my day at Phra Arthit Pier close to Khaosan Rd, grabbed a day pass at 150thb each, and hopped on board. The open-air deck gave us stunning views of riverside temples and bustling markets, while the air-conditioned cabin was a welcome escape from the midday heat. Each pier felt like a new adventure—whether we were tasting street food near Tha Maharaj, shopping for souvenirs at Pak Khlong Talat, or snapping photos of golden spires.
The flexibility was unbeatable. We could linger where we wanted, skip what didn’t interest us, and hop back on whenever we were ready. It felt like a floating gateway to Bangkok’s rich culture and vibrant energy. Plus, the staff were friendly, and the boat was clean and safe.
If you’re visiting Bangkok, don’t miss the Hop-On Hop-Off Boat—it’s the easiest, most scenic way to explore the heart of the city.
