【岡山旅vlog】岡山の穴場!人混みがちょっと苦手な私が巡る岡山・牛窓Vlog・夏の旅行におすすめ|観光/グルメ/旅動画

Kabu’s Trip Good morning, everyone! How are you? It’s already summer in Japan. Summer in Japan is really hot! I took a day trip to Okayama with my family today. It was a very smooth and comfortable trip. So I’ll share it with you! First, we have breakfast. We arrived at the Tatsuno Nishi Service Area. Let’s travel together again today in Japan! We’re at a restaurant at a highway rest stop. It opens at 7:00 AM. We order. I have fresh eggs delivered directly from a local chicken farm. I have shredded seaweed, mentaiko, and seaweed tsukudani (simmered in soy sauce). The seaweed tsukudani is also locally sourced. My mother has toast with almond paste. This is also very delicious! Let’s eat! Have you ever eaten raw eggs? It’s not uncommon in Japan. This egg won the grand prize in a raw egg competition. It’s so fresh. Apparently you can lift the yolk with chopsticks, but I failed!!! I traded it for my brother’s egg. Thank you! Are you ready? I’m not very good at it. Sorry. But it tastes delicious! I put soy sauce in raw eggs and pour it over rice. This dish is called “tamago kake gohan” (rice with raw egg on top). It’s simple and delicious! It’s not fishy. You can taste the richness of the egg. Japanese people love it. It was delicious! I ate it all. Let’s go! The weather is great. Today’s destination is Ushimado, located in the southeastern part of Okayama Prefecture. It faces the Seto Inland Sea to the east and south, and Okayama City to the west. The fresh greenery is so refreshing! First, we arrived at a roadside station (rest area) known for its beautiful scenery. Let’s go to the observation deck. It’s a beautiful view. But I’m a little disappointed. I found an interesting sign. It seems there’s a park attached. There’s also an observation deck next to the park. From there, you can get a panoramic view of the Seto Inland Sea! Beautiful! Look! It’s a mini steam locomotive. It circles the park. You can ride it and enjoy the view. Let’s go next! Next, we’ll go to Ushimado Olive Garden. It’s about a 10-minute drive from there. It’s an olive farm established in 1942. It covers an area of 10 hectares and is home to about 2,000 olive trees. The view is amazing! The sunsets are beautiful, too. Let’s take a walk. There’s a shop selling olive-based products. There’s also an observation deck here. Beautiful! Ushimado has a port town atmosphere and an exotic feel. It’s known as the Aegean Sea of Japan. The observation deck is only accessible by stairs. Be careful! We eat olive-based gelato at the shop. It’s a special milk gelato topped with diced candied olives. The milk gelato is refreshing. The olives are a nice accent! Let’s walk a little. The slope there is steep. Be careful not to slip. The area is very vast, so you won’t be able to explore the whole thing. Let’s go next! Around 11:30, a line formed for parking. I recommend coming early. We move while enjoying the beautiful scenery. It’s about a five-minute drive away. We arrived at the parking lot. The stone steps right next to Ushimado Beach are the entrance. We’re heading to Ushimado Shrine. We have to climb 364 stone steps. She’s so friendly! I felt so at ease. Now! Let’s do our best! This is the rest area. The view is beautiful. The path is inscribed “The Road to Speak Dreams.” This is the Zuishinmon Gate in front of Ushimado Shrine. There are guardian deities on both sides who protect against evil spirits. The sunlight filtering through the trees is so pleasant . This is the shrine dedicated to the spirits of Ushimado and the deities of our ancestors for generations. This is a table of unlucky years. Unlucky years occur at specific ages and differ depending on gender. The deity’s blessings are career advancement, good fortune, and finding love. I hope that family, friends, and viewers will be blessed with good relationships and spend their time laughing and having fun! There’s a stone turtle statue. It’s said that stroking it will bring prosperity to your descendants and bring you good health and a long life. This shrine is also quiet and mysterious. Finally, I received a temple seal. Surrounded by fresh greenery and the chirping of birds, it’s a soothing space. Once you leave, you can see the ocean. Let’s move on! It’s about a five-minute drive from Ushimado Shrine. We arrived at “Shiomachi Karakoto Street.” We parked our car in the parking lot. At this tourist information center, there’s a blue postbox where you can drop off letters to loved ones. Japanese postboxes are typically red, so this is quite unusual! We walked. This area once flourished as a port waiting for the tide. During the Edo period, it was a unique port for Korean envoys. This street retains many traces of its port town roots from the Edo period to the 1950s. It’s a narrow street, unchanged from the Edo period. The road is 1 km long one way. Many traditional buildings and ruins are scattered along the way. This is a kamaboko (fish cake) shop. Established in 1951, it uses time-honored traditional techniques. They use a lot of fresh seafood from the Seto Inland Sea caught that day and local, organic, pesticide-free vegetables. They always have over 20 varieties. They don’t use any preservatives or artificial colors. They also have cheesecake! We were curious… we each bought two. Let’s try it! It’s very simple. Delicious! Let’s go for lunch. There’s an Italian restaurant nearby that I’m interested in. It’s a restaurant where you can dine while looking out at the ocean. They serve Italian food made with local vegetables and seafood. It ‘s closed! It said last orders were at 3:00 PM, but I guess I was wrong. What a shame. Next, I’ll go to the place I wanted to go! That’s it! It’s a theme park for cheap Japanese sweets that both adults and children can enjoy. Get your ticket from the ticket machine on the left side of the entrance. Enter within the designated time. We waited about 10 minutes. Dagashi are cheap Japanese snacks. I remember buying and eating them as a child. The sales floor is about 1,000 square meters. There are many sweets on display. There are many snacks I loved as a child! It’s crowded, but the aisles are wide, so it’s not crowded. They have a wide selection, from sweets to jerky. We ended up buying 8,000 yen worth of goods! We bought too much! Today was another very pleasant trip. The cash register at the candy store was crowded. Let’s go home! But before that, we made a detour. This is a famous Japanese sweets store in Okayama Prefecture, founded in 1948. We bought Japanese sweets and warabimochi drinks. They were delicious! We were very satisfied! Now it’s time to go home. Where should we go next? Please subscribe to my channel.

  7. kabu
