旧北陸道を自転車で：今庄から廃村二ツ屋を通り笠取峠へ 福井県南越前町 [4K]
This video documents a cycling journey along a historic section of the Old Hokuriku Kaidō in Fukui Prefecture, filmed in June 2025.
The ride begins near the Hino River in the southern part of Imajo (Minamiechizen), then passes the site of the old Futatsuya checkpoint before ascending through the narrow valley ominously known as “Kubikiri-dani” (Neck-Cutting Valley). After reaching Kasatori Pass, the descent continues past the Imajo 365 Ski Resort and the former post town of Itadorijuku, eventually arriving at Imajo Station.
This route offers a unique combination of historical atmosphere, quiet mountain roads, and rural landscapes once traveled by Edo-period wayfarers.

この映像では、福井県南部にある旧北陸街道を自転車でたどる様子を記録しています。
スタート地点は南越前町今庄の南部、日野川沿いの合波付近、かつての関所があった二ツ屋を通って、首切り谷と呼ばれる峠道を登り、笠取峠まで到達します。首切り谷は江戸時代に処刑場があったとされる、少し不気味な名前の場所です。
峠を越えたあとは、今庄365スキー場を通り、風情ある板取宿のある国道476号線を下っていき、最終的に今庄駅に到着します。
旧街道の雰囲気と、歴史ある山里の風景を感じられるルートです。
