元祖長岡生姜醬油ラーメン！お寿司屋さんのデカ盛り海鮮丼！【新潟・山形ロングドライブPart6】
Niigata and Yamagata Long Drive Part 6 Today is the sixth day of our seven-day, six-night trip to Niigata and Yamagata. We pass through Tsuruoka City, Yamagata Prefecture and enter Murakami City, Niigata Prefecture. About two hours after leaving our lodgings at Yunohama Onsen, we take a short break at a roadside station. We get on the toll-free section of the Nihonkai Tohoku Expressway from Asahi Mahoroba IC. From Arakawa Tainai IC onwards, the section becomes a toll. We get off at Arakawa Tainai IC and head towards Momosakihama. We enter Niigata City at this roadside station . Roadside Station Niigata Furusato Mura, Niigata City, Niigata Prefecture This roadside station is the largest in Niigata Prefecture and has a “Bazaar Hall” that sells about 10,000 souvenirs, a Niigata information hub called “Five One Like! Niigata Hall, ” as well as facilities that seem like they could be enjoyed all day long. Entering Mitsuke City Mitsuke City is located in the center of Niigata Prefecture, It is the smallest city in the prefecture. This is my first time visiting. I arrived at the inn, “Kusanagi Ryokan” in Mitsuke City, Niigata Prefecture. The room I checked in at was “Nadeshiko” on the second floor , a Japanese-style room with 6 tatami mats . There was a toilet next to the entrance. It was a compact but clean room. There was an empty refrigerator inside. There were hangers, yukata and towels. Outside the window, I could see a residential area. I was tired from the long drive, so I lay down and rested for a while. Then I went to the bath. I imagined a home bath, but it was quite large. It was not a hot spring, but I was able to relax by taking a leisurely bath. In the evening, I went to a sushi restaurant that was popular on social media, ” Tairyo Sushi” in Mitsuke City, Niigata Prefecture. I was guided to the counter and had a “Dekamori Donburi” (large serving bowl). This is it! The self-service miso soup had fish bones in it. It was a “Himemori” (1,600 yen ) . I was scared of the cutlet curry yesterday, so I ordered the smallest size. And yet it was this big! Shrimp tuna (red meat) Yellowtail tuna (fatty tuna) It melted in my mouth! Everything was of high quality! It was not just a large portion, but a very satisfying seafood bowl that showed the pride of the sushi restaurant. I went back to the inn and went to sleep. The next morning , I was taken care of. It was the last day of this long journey, so I decided to eat some ramen. In Nagaoka City, next to Mitsuke City, there is a ramen that has long been loved by the locals. One of the five great ramen in Niigata, Nagaoka Ginger Soy Sauce Ramen, is a shop that is said to have originated it. “Aoshima Shokudo Miyauchi Ekimae Branch” in Nagaoka City, Niigata Prefecture . It is still before opening time , so I walked around the area a bit . I was late, so I bought a ticket from the ticket machine outside the store. I managed to get in on the first round of “Aoshima Ramen” for 900 yen . The soy sauce-based soup and the faint aroma of ginger are a nice accent. The chewy medium-thick noodles and the thinly sliced pork slices are also delicious. It reminded me of the ramen I ate at a food stall a long time ago. It was delicious.
