Our big Chihuahua, over 4kg, His name’s Donkun, likes snacks more than his owner. Donkun was inquisitive again today. An electric fan blowing air from the air conditioner onto the rear bed. The open-air bath with a beautiful view of Lake Hibara was pleasant. After shopping for dinner, we headed to the RV park. There was a slight slope, so we used a leveler. It was spacious and nice. There were four toilets and one shower room each for men and women. It was very clean. Coin showers cost 200 yen for 10 minutes. Bandai Azuma Skyline The parking lot is crowded because of the consecutive holidays, but the back is empty. It’s a great location for campers. It’s about a 10-minute staircase from here to the crater of Azuma Kofuji, so have a snack and wait. The view from Azuma Kofuji at the top of the stairs. It is one of the Azuma mountain ranges and an active volcano with an altitude of 1,707m. You can go around the crater wall in just under an hour. There are signs to go clockwise as it is a scree-filled area and is slippery. We also got a great view of Jododaira through the gaps in the clouds. Before heading back, I had some mountain salt soft serve ice cream, which I really wanted to try. This was my third mountain salt ramen of this trip. Oshio. I’m addicted to the salt made by boiling down the source water of Urabandai Onsen. I would like to come to Fukushima again someday in search of this mineral-rich mountain salt.
