Please turn on subtitles in settings This time, we visited Urahoro Town in eastern Hokkaido. I would like to introduce the coastal road of Kombukariishi. National Route 336 Up the hill When you look to the right The Pacific Ocean was wide Suddenly, a paraglider Wonder and excitement Here, turn right The beginning of the Konbukariishi dirt road The paragliders Preparing for takeoff A little surprise Follow the path that runs along the coastal plateau Oops… A little gravel There are deep areas, so drive carefully You can see the sea across the road Turn right here Here it is Arrived at Golden Falls Water flows through the V-shaped bottom The colour is beautiful Brown and Green The waterfall carves and carves Over time, it was carved into a V shape. Flowing into the sea… Looking down at the coast I think I can go somehow. I think I can get off Is it no good? Danger, you can’t go further Going further If the gravel isn’t deep There is no problem with driving It feels like a rough road along the sea. Oho~ Wow, the road stretches along the edge of the hill. The wind from the sea, It feels good It’s not cold (although the temperature was 16°C on this day). Just to the right is a cliff! The guardrail is visible This is it! Parking space That means that Tourist spots for connoisseurs The guardrail is ahead Kobukariishi Observation Deck Observation Deck Well, it’s a tourist spot, This is a nice place It’s worth the detour There is a steep slope next to the guardrail! The collapse here is great Earth eroded by rough waves The sound of the waves crashing And the wind rising from the coast Scenery that evokes the feeling of travel The coastline seen from the observation deck The tunnel is an impressive accent From here on, the dirt road is quite steep. I think you should be careful though Viewed from the coast The part where the soil is visible Areas prone to collapse A wild tourist spot Let’s take a look at the journey so far Turn around The greenery on the slope in front of the observation deck has collapsed. What a difficult location the road took! It can be said to be typical of Hokkaido. Let’s prepare for the next course Downhill dirt road Plus, a series of curves! The road ahead of the curve is also collapsing. The dirt road is Route 1038 It is connected to the Naobetsu Kyoei Line Drive your bike carefully I stopped at the arrow I came down in a cold sweat It came down like this On foot from here To the Golden Falls I thought I’d like to go Wilderness-like coast Oh, if you come here on a motorbike you’ll get stuck… It’s a fine sandy beach I thought I couldn’t cross the river. I’ve been walking all this time Well, around there I thought maybe I could cross the river somehow. When water is included This soil It tightens quite tightly Something like this That’s the observation deck over there. I just took a photo It’s a high place It’s quite firm and hard You can walk more and more Where is the Golden Falls? The tire tracks of that car It’s turning around here Well, it came from the other side. It seems like you came from a different exit than me. Paragliders They are taking off one after another Ahh Along the ridge It seems to fly using the rising wind When I saw it flying softly Ah, finally Arrived at Golden Falls! It was worth the 2km walk Ah~ It was a nice memory, walking Oh, I can get off from there! What is it? Hey If it was early spring, there might be more water. V-shaped valley Widening at the end The water spreads out and falls It flows into the sea over there View from a paraglider It’ll be even more beautiful From above, you can clearly see the widening of the waterfall. Terrain carved by the flow of water over many years Certainly from the parking space It seems dangerous to get off Where the waterfall falls onto the shore The mystery of a huge collection of driftwood Now then Let’s walk back along the coast for 2km. Returned to starting point Towards the tunnel Atsunai Tunnel A relatively new tunnel, completed in 2008 View of the mine entrance from the coast Near the tunnel There is a strange rock formation called Madoiwa. That little rock There is no problem walking here either. There is what appears to be a warning sign It seems I can’t go any further from here Ah, this is the old road. The old tunnel (arrow) was completed in the early Showa period. It seems to have been very narrow So This is the window rock Can you get closer? Looks like I can go The wind rises from under both sides of the rock Be careful… It looks like there’s a little hole Haha, this is interesting! The observation deck is visible in the distance It looks like a conch shell It has a complex shape Now then Let’s go to the other side of the tunnel Entering the Atsunai Tunnel Run through the entire 218.8m The light coming in from the mine entrance is approaching Park your bike on the coastal side of the mine entrance This is also an old road When you exit the tunnel A bird doll welcomed me When I look back The tunnel is drilled Shocked by the collapsing coast What a wild road! Further inland than the old road The current tunnel was excavated What a terrible collapse… A road reminiscent of the Golden Road of the Showa era What’s the road like up here? Let’s look a little further ahead The traffic volume As you can see, only a little Passing under the green talus Coastal Road There’s a collapsed area on the other side Below that is a stone-covered road for cutting kelp. Try running Visible from the support pillars of the road Endless Ocean Remembering the Golden Road of the Past Once you leave the covered passage A large collapsed area appeared again. The road has been rerouted The coastal road stretches into the distance The kelp harvesting road is covered with collapsed earth and sand. This collapsed area Just reversed it from inland to the coast. You can see what looks like a mini Golden Falls. Diagonally upward strata running along the talus Surging waves Very Hokkaido-like Dramatic coastal road Heading towards Kushiro Please subscribe to our channel
