How are you all? Welcome to Nabe Travel Premium. This time, I would like to visit Toba International Hotel Shiojitei in Toba City, Mie Prefecture. I was planning to go to Ise Shrine this time, and decided to stay here because it was convenient. So, what kind of hotel is it? Let’s take a look together. Please subscribe to our channel and give us a high rating. We arrived at the hotel safely. It took 6 hours by car from Tokyo , but it’s quite far. By car, it is about 10 minutes from Ise Interchange on the Ise Futami Toba Line. By train, it is about 3 minutes by car from Toba Station. It was a long journey, but the nice atmosphere from the entrance made me forget my fatigue. I had a welcome drink in the lobby and then went on a room tour. This time, I booked two rooms, a Japanese-style room and a special room. It’s lovely. Shiojitei is known as the villa of Toba International Hotel . Since its opening, it has been used by members of the imperial family. It is a traditional inn that has welcomed many influential figures from the financial world and visitors from overseas. Toba Hotel International is famous for having been the place where leaders from various countries stayed during the Isejima Summit. The Toba Hotel International is a Western-style hotel, while Shiojitei is built like a Japanese-style inn. This is a special Japanese-style room. It also has an indoor bath. As you go up a grade, the rooms are completely different. All the rooms are decorated with Ise katagami, a traditional craft of Ise used in dyeing yuzen and yukata, so you can experience the culture of Ise. The shop on the first floor also sells products from our partner Mikimoto Cosmetics. Next to the shop, you can experience carving Ise stencil paper. It is nice to be able to experience the culture of Ise. I think it is a very delicate technique. There is a road connecting Shiojitei to the Kokusai Hotel, and between them is the Shioka Terrace. It is in a great location. From here, you can enjoy the scenery of Toba Bay with the regular ships from remote islands that come and go through the port and the luxury cruise ships that sometimes stop by in between tours. I’m a little tired from exploring the hotel, so I would like to go to the hot spring. As I mentioned earlier, Mikimoto Cosmetics and Shiojitei are affiliated, and in addition to the large bath, Tokowaka no Yu has an open-air bath called the Pearl Aurora Bath, the first of its kind in Japan. You can enjoy a relaxing time while enjoying the pearl ingredients. It felt really good. And from this vending machine, you can get vanilla ice cream from Yamamura Milk School, which is manufactured by Yamamura Dairy, which was founded 100 years ago in Ise. The milk was very rich and the sweetness was refreshing and delicious. It was the dinner I was looking forward to. There are two places for dinner, Dining Shiroishi and Teppanyaki Kiyoishi. I apologize if I’m reading the kanji incorrectly. This time, we had kaiseki cuisine at Dining Shiroishi. The menu looks like this. You can enjoy the seafood and mountain delicacies of Isejima in a private space. Not only the rich flavor of seasonal local produce, but also the color and delicate presentation of the food. You can enjoy the details of the presentation, not just the taste, such as the wide variety of dishes. It’s really beautiful. The spiny lobster was delicious, but what surprised me was the abalone sashimi. It was the most delicious I’ve ever eaten. The sweetness and texture It was really good! It was my first time in Mie Prefecture, but I was surprised at how delicious the ingredients in Mie were. Japanese sake is also famous, so you can enjoy a variety of pairings. The restaurant is listed on Tabelog and Ikyu Restaurant, so it seems like you can just enjoy the food. The kaiseki cuisine was really high quality. Thank you for the meal. It was really delicious.
