📍向山神社/Mukoyama Shrine⛩️
宮崎県高千穂町にある向山神社は、曲がりくねった未舗装の道を進むとたどり着く隠れたパワースポットです。創建年代は不明ですが、紀州熊野との由緒ある由緒があり、かつては「熊野十二社大権現」「丸子野権現」といった別名でも呼ばれていました。 鳥居から約500メートル続く参道には、仁王像や20基の石灯籠が立ち並び、中には猿や七福神を描いた珍しい灯籠もあります。社殿は木造で、細部まで精巧に造り込まれています。 御祭神は伊弉諾尊、伊弉冉尊、天照大御神など。夫婦円満、家内安全、航海安全などにご利益があります。大きな木の根元に立つ小さな赤い鳥居が特徴的で、隠れた聖地へと続いています。
Mukoyama Shrine in Takachiho, Miyazaki Prefecture, is a hidden power spot accessible via a winding, unpaved road. The shrine’s exact founding date is unknown, but it has historical ties to the Kumano from Kishu and was previously known by other names like “Kumano Junisha Daigongen” and “Marukono Gongen.”
The path to the shrine, about 500 meters long from the torii gate, features Nio statues and 20 stone lanterns, including rare ones depicting monkeys and the Seven Lucky Gods. The main shrine building is a wooden structure with intricate details.
Enshrined deities include Izanagi-no-Mikoto, Izanami-no-Mikoto, Amaterasu Omikami, and others, offering blessings for marital harmony, family safety, and safe voyages. A unique feature is a small red torii gate at the base of a large tree, leading to a hidden sacred spot.
