【東京都檜原村】天空古民家が作り出す「日本の原風景」に会いに行く
Hinohara Village, Tokyo There is a “primitive Japanese landscape” that can only be reached on foot or by monorail This time I tried it on foot The road is narrow, winding, and steep If you’re not confident in your leg strength, the monorail is the only option I climbed alongside the monorail Along the way, I passed under it The monorail has a maximum slope of 43 degrees Finally, the summit came into view And then, I arrived at the ridge at an altitude of 750 meters The Kobayashi family home is an important cultural property and is 300 years old The grandfather lived here until 2007 Currently, the grandfather is 94 years old and lives in the neighboring town The thick pillars and beams were cut from the mountains even higher The thatched roof is replaced every 40 years The thatch is sourced from Yamanashi Prefecture and Shizuoka Prefecture In the past, thatch was also cultivated in Hinohara Village They put down roots here to avoid frequent floods They were self-sufficient by making charcoal, raising silkworms and growing vegetables Horses were once kept here The slopes that were once fields have been turned into azaleas In spring, a beautiful world unfolds Go further inside the Kobayashi family residence The former Takura family home At the back of the house, spring water seeps out from under a giant tree It was used as a precious source of water for daily life Thank you for watching
東京都檜原村(ひのはらむら)。
徒歩かモノレールでしか行けない「日本の原風景」があります。
今回は徒歩で挑戦しました。
狭く曲がりくねった急な坂道。
脚力に自信がなければ迷わずモノレール一択。
モノレールと並走しながら登っていきます。
途中、モノレールをくぐります。
モノレールは最大傾斜43度もあります。
そして、標高750メートルの尾根に到着です。
重要文化財で築300年の小林家住宅。
2007年までおじいさんが住んでいました。
現在、おじいさんは94歳で隣町に住んでいます。
太い大黒柱や梁ははさらに上の山から切り出しました。
屋根の茅葺は40年ごとに交換しています。
茅は山梨県や静岡県から調達しています。
昔は檜原村でも茅を栽培していました。
度重なる洪水を避けるため、この地に根を下ろしました。
炭焼き、蚕、野菜の栽培で自給自足をしていました。
かつて畑だった斜面はつつじに変わりました。
春になると美しい世界が広がります。
