日本海 追分ソーランライン
日本海 追分ソーランラインは、総距離は約466.7kmにもなる、道南屈指のシーサイドルートです。
ほぼ全線が海沿いを走り、奇岩や断崖が連続する荒々しくも美しい日本海の風景が楽しめます。
特に、積丹半島の「積丹ブルー」と呼ばれる美しい海や、日本海に沈む夕日が絶景として知られています。
函館市から小樽市までの日本海沿岸を通る国道228号、国道229号を中心にしています。
この名称は、北海道を代表する民謡である「江差追分」と「ソーラン節」に由来しています。
かつてニシン漁で栄えた地域であり、漁業に関する数々の民謡が生まれました。
歴史と文化
沿道には、ニシン漁で栄えた港町や、幕末の歴史を感じさせるスポットが点在しています。
多様な景勝地
せたな町の親子熊岩や三本杉岩、積丹町の神威岬など、多くの景勝ポイントがあります。

Sea of Japan Oiwake Soran Line
Sea of Japan Oiwake Soran Line is one of the best seaside routes in southern Hokkaido, with a total distance of about 466.7 km.
Almost the entire route runs along the coast, and you can enjoy the rugged yet beautiful scenery of the Sea of Japan with its series of strange rocks and cliffs.
In particular, the beautiful sea of the Shakotan Peninsula, known as “Shakotan Blue,” and the sunset over the Sea of Japan are known as spectacular views.
The route is centered around National Route 228 and National Route 229, which run along the coast of the Sea of Japan from Hakodate City to Otaru City.
The name comes from “Esashi Oiwake” and “Soran Bushi,” which are folk songs that represent Hokkaido.
This area once prospered from herring fishing, and many folk songs related to fishing were born here.
History and Culture
Along the route, there are port towns that prospered from herring fishing, and spots that give a sense of history from the end of the Edo period.
There are many scenic spots, such as Oyakokuma Rock and Sanbonsugi Rock in Setana Town, and Kamui Cape in Shakotan Town.
