Today, I’m going on a tour of roadside stations This video was filmed right after I finished going around the Hokushin block and continued filming as is Today will be the Chushin block This Chushin block is also incredibly vast! It’s unbelievable It’s long from north to south What is included in the Michi-no-Eki guide for the Chushin block? 11 locations The northernmost is Koyata, and the southernmost is the roadside station Kosakada Park Kozakada Park is located in Shiojiri The one that’s included is the Otari Road Station Roadside Station Hakuba Right nearby is the Roadside Station Pokapoka Land Miama, Roadside Station Ikusakanosato, and Roadside Station Sakakita Roadside Station Ikeda, Roadside Station Azumino Matsukawa ‘Yotte Tamatsukawa’, and then Roadside Station Alps Azumino Horigane no Sato Roadside station Kazaana no Sato on the way to Kamikochi, Roadside station Imai Megumi no Sato, Roadside station Kozakada Park It’s all directions, isn’t it? That’s right, isn’t it? The wind holes and sakaki are extending out to the east and west, respectively This is also quite difficult to turn around I plan to visit this today and tomorrow First, I’ll go to the roadside station Poka Poka Land Miasa I might as well stop by since it’s on the way There’s a day-use hot spring available~ Wow! Amazing! They’re selling Shinshu salmon White Horse Pork Jerky Pork Jerky? Deer Curry Awesome, awesome! It’s Miasa Coffee! Miasa Coffee Float (700 yen) It seems there is also a restaurant Given the location, there is an English menu as well I’ll try the Miasa coffee float Isn’t it the best? The coffee feels good This roadside station here is As expected, the bath is the main attraction It feels like there’s a souvenir shop for the bath attached This time I’m going to visit 11 roadside stations again At each roadside station, I’ll buy or eat something I’m thinking of going around Around here, if you go left, there’s a place called Miasa Coffee, I think it’s in Nakayama Kogen It’s there, you know There is a solitary house there On top of the hill Incredibly delicious coffee and I can eat an incredibly delicious cake The tiramisu over there is truly amazing Tiramisu is delicious, isn’t it? It’s right in front of there I’m pretty sure the rapeseed flowers are really beautiful, but I was looking at the website and it said that they either won’t bloom this year or didn’t bloom It seems that can happen too Also, there are many places where the soba is delicious The place we went to is a restaurant called Soba Yamashina Incredibly delicious It’s a soba village, right? There are so many places like that It looks like a delicious soba restaurant I have entered Hakuba Village This time, the Chushin area is at the very top of Hakuba, from Otari Village Why to Shiojiri? The Matsumoto Basin is included as well In a word, this is about the climate Temperature and such are really difficult, so they can be completely different So, I want to convey the characteristics of each place when I went there, but to put it simply, there’s a lot of snow around Hakuba Hakuba and Otari are places where more than 1 meter of snow accumulates in winter The elevation is around 700m, but it might be around 400m in Koyan, so it’s not that high, but it’s quite cold Looking at the temperature, it can drop to minus 15 degrees in the morning For some reason, it feels unusually cold in winter considering the altitude After all, it’s been sunny in places like Matsumoto all along, but suddenly it’s been snowing continuously from Hakuba It’s a bit like what you would say in Japan It feels like the winter climate on the Sea of Japan side It might be an area like that It’s still snowing heavily now, so it will be that kind of area It seems that there is hardly any snow around Hakuba when you head towards Matsumoto So as I go further towards Omachi, Azumino, and Matsumoto, the snow decreases gradually This place is also alongside the northern信 There are many quite famous tourist spots, In the north, around Hakuba The white horse is definitely a winter resort, but Recently, places like Iwatake have been focusing on summer resorts It’s an area that attracts visitors in summer and can be enjoyed in both summer and winter In spring, there are incredibly beautiful single cherry blossom trees The autumn leaves season is also incredibly beautiful It will be an area where you can see things like three-tiered autumn leaves If you go down a bit, you’ll reach the Omachi Onsen area There are several hotels built If you go a little further south, you’ll reach Azumino Azumino is a popular area for newcomers to settle in Regardless of newcomers or not Anyway, the scenery of the satoyama is incredibly beautiful, isn’t it? The rural landscape spreads out The spring water is amazing There is also the Daisō Wasabi Farm There are various things grown with spring water This year, I went to see the shiba sakura in Azumino for the first time, and it was incredibly beautiful It was really beautiful If you go down a little more, you’ll already be in Matsumoto Matsumoto has Matsumoto Castle and a street called Nakamachi-dori, which is lined with traditional storehouses There are areas where you can find souvenirs and food shops, making Matsumoto a fun place to visit The water over there is kind of beautiful, isn’t it? There is drinkable water springing up in the city It feels like rainbow trout are swimming in the waterway at home Yes! I was so surprised! Matsumoto is, in our image, a city with a lot of traffic I had this noisy image in my mind, but… There are certainly a lot of traffic jams, but the water is nice here You can see the mountains well, and Matsumoto is actually quite nice too If you go a little further down to the west This is the very popular Kamikochi area If you go south from there, you’ll reach Shiojiri In Shiojiri, it’s wine grapes Maybe two years ago I went grape picking around there, but Grapes are already growing at the station At Shiojiri Station Grapes are growing on the train platform The area in front of the station has become like a grape street, filled with grapes The grape season in Shiojiri during autumn is already so much fun, isn’t it? If you like wine, I think there were wine festivals and such In Nakashin, there are places like Sakabukuro and Ikeda included It’s just to the east of Azumino This area is filled with beautiful mountain cherry blossoms There is an area around here called Rikkou Sakura Senkyo It’s beautiful and really gives you the feeling that spring has arrived! And then, I would like to recommend some hot springs in that area While introducing the restaurants and cafes we like, I hope to go around again tomorrow The roadside station Poka Poka Land Miasa was right on the way I already got close now, though I think I’ll head to Koyan at the far north first this time It will probably be around 5 PM by the time we arrive at Koyan It’s the end, as the next roadside station in Koyan will already be closed Take a quick look at the roadside station Otari Maybe tomorrow I will start from Hakuba tomorrow morning I think there will be various discoveries, so let’s go and see It’s about 15 km to Koyan now Speaking of Koyan, when it comes to ski resorts, it’s definitely Tsugaike Tsugaike is indeed large and popular, and something that has become really popular in the last few years is Cortina, huh? Hakuba Cortina Ski Resort and Hakuba Norikura Onsen Ski Resort It’s especially popular among inbound tourists, but Japanese people have been going a lot recently too There was a time when it had a very sparse image, but Last year was incredibly crowded, wasn’t it? There was a huge line, wasn’t there? Because there is even more snow than at Hakuba, when you come to Otari… It’s close to the Sea of Japan, so that ski resort is amazing, right? Also, it’s about 40 km from Itoigawa So you can also go out to sea, Surprisingly, it’s an area where you can enjoy both the sea and the mountains From here to Kotani Village Because the elevation here is 600m It feels like it’s going to keep getting lower, doesn’t it? Also, around this Koya, there are quite a few walking paths along the salt road, and some old houses are still standing I think it will be fun There are many great hot springs, and my favorite is Koyanagi Onsen Yamada Ryokan It was really nice to do a day trip Furthermore, if you go up from there… It’s called Amakazari Onsen I wonder if they don’t operate in winter From spring to autumn A really nice hot spring that you can enter with a small token There are also slippery hot springs The place a little further ahead is the trailhead for Mount Amikazari Akanidake is popular too, right? We’ve never climbed it, though And what you must not forget is Tsugaike Nature Park during the green season You can take the ropeway to the top, and then walk along the ridge like trekking There is a course that takes about half a day to walk The scenery is nice too That’s a great recommendation There’s a hot spring you can walk to, if we’re talking about walking options I wonder if this will be in Niigata Prefecture It’s Renge Onsen There’s a place called Renge Onsen up above If you walk, there are several hot springs There are some that are like wild baths You pay with money at the lodge, right? That’s amazing! That place too That place is incredible! It’s a real outdoor hot spring It’s technically a mixed bath, but… The women’s section is at the very top Just being for women is enough When a woman is in the mixed bath, please don’t enter through the lower door; it seems that if we do that, they won’t come in But basically, there is a hot spring right next to the trekking route It’s like suddenly seeing people in a hot spring there, right? lol It’s like there’s a hot spring right there without any walls or anything A place that feels like it doesn’t even have a changing room But it’s a really pleasant hot spring This is easy to get to from Kotani, right? Highly recommended That’s interesting too It’s interesting, isn’t it? Women can definitely fit in there properly There is one place where you can enter with peace of mind There’s no problem And there are delicious restaurants A place that feels like a hidden gem of a restaurant It’s quite something If you go into this mountain area Café Thirteenth Month There is a restaurant that has been renovated from an old folk house It’s not open during the winter, though It will open from spring to summer Incredibly delicious You can eat incredibly delicious curry Indeed, there are few restaurants in Kotani But it’s incredibly delicious, and there are quite a few places that make you want to come back multiple times, and considering that, Cafe Shiratsuki We went to the cafe, right? At a slightly elevated place The view and coffee here are the best, aren’t they? The view from above and Also, the cake is incredibly delicious The sweets are really delicious, so I highly recommend them Also, just a little below is Tsumugiya | A store for daily necessities and living tools It feels like a super stylish select shop In urban terms, it’s a select shop The theme is a store for daily necessities and living tools, a select shop A really stylish select shop Things like that exist That’s a storehouse, isn’t it? They’re renovating the storehouse, right? I’m renovating a warehouse to turn it into a store, and it’s a really stylish shop I bought something that smells great Aroma It’s a store that collects not only things from Nagano Prefecture but also carefully selected items from all over the country That’s interesting And you can’t miss the otter gelato, right? It doesn’t stop, does it? That soba shop, Hotaru-san, above The soba and the sashimi konjac were really delicious too Maybe it’s a series like Otarian Gelato and Soba Shop Hotaru Is it the same? Surely, we all love sea lion gelato, right? It’s incredibly delicious! When I went in winter, it was buried in snow and not operating, lol I thought I couldn’t find it, but it was buried in the snow, lol In the town of Koya See, there really are no stores like this There aren’t any supermarkets around here I guess you have to go all the way to Hakuba to find a supermarket I think there was one Lawson store And there are only roadside stations around Yet, the restaurant is that amazing, right? This is the town hall, after all The roadside station Ohtari that we are going to from now on There is also a hot spring and a restaurant on site If you eat at the restaurant, the hot spring is half price I think it was 700 or 800 yen The hot spring is half price now The restaurant used to have free refills on rice I don’t know how it is now There are menus that come with a lot of quite delicious small dishes We’ve eaten it a few times The rice is cooked in a traditional stove It’s delicious, you know You can also eat delicious meals Located at a roadside station The hot spring was in the deep mountains, right? That one doesn’t even seem like a roadside station, does it? The water quality is good and it’s a free-flowing hot spring It’s a slightly iron-rich hot spring It’s a really nice hot spring Kotani Onsen is this way Ameakari and Yamada Ryokan are There are many small hot springs with good water quality around here Just a little further ahead, there’s Himekawa Onsen and such Himekawa Onsen is quite nice, isn’t it? Hot water is gushing out The amount of hot water is amazing That’s also recommended Yes, we’ve arrived! This is the restaurant The mountain burdock rice looks delicious! You can enjoy rice cooked in a traditional stove Looks delicious! Mountain burdock mixed rice There was also sake from Kotani It seems you can also compare the prosciutto from Koya There is a wide variety of alcoholic beverages It’s a bear Well, I’m going to eat a little today too, lol Because the hot spring is half price for purchases over 500 yen It’s 700 yen, so it becomes 350 yen, right? That’s amazing, isn’t it? Koshihikari rice from Kotani, cooked in a traditional rice cooker This is what I eat a lot Also, we have this daily special Free refills on rice There are also dishes like this one I’m going to have a hearty dinner in the car today Here is this rice cooker set and Mini pork sukiyaki bowl for 550 yen I ordered this This will make the bath half price That’s amazing, isn’t it? The bath was 700 yen, right? That’s why it’s 350 yen off It’s just like being able to eat this mini pork sukiyaki bowl for 200 yen That’s amazing, isn’t it? There are also things like this Kotani local sake tasting set (3 types) – 750 yen This is amazing I want to go to the hot springs for half price, haha That’s what it means, right? But it’s delicious, you know Rice from a traditional stove This is the mini pork suki bowl for 550 yen, and the kamado set is 640 yen I heard that this rice and nozawana pickles are free to refill It has wild vegetables in it, doesn’t it? I could choose between pork miso soup and wild vegetable miso soup I made it with wild vegetables It contains plenty of wild vegetables Ah, delicious! It’s scorched rice! This is amazing Spicy sake Isn’t there Okinawa? Tough one That’s it, right? It’s alcohol, so I can’t drive, but It says it’s a liqueur Pork bowl~ I forgot about that If the hot springs are half price here, then I’ve bought a lot of ingredients today We’ll eat dinner separately, so we should keep it to this much But it’s delicious The pork is thick, and it’s nice and tender You added some burnt rice again Can I have some crispy rice? When I said yes, Ah, that was delicious I ended up eating until I was full because I could have seconds Alright, shall we go to the hot springs? Ah, that felt good! It was the best! It’s really nice after all The iron here is Ah, I feel refreshed I feel warm It was almost like I got to eat for free Alright, then I think I’ll head towards Hakuba for a bit It has become morning This is Hakuba Station now Well then, let’s get started today as well I came from KOTANI to Hakuba This area is already a super ski resort There are so many places just in Hakuba alone Goryu, 47, Iwatake, Happo Just a little further, there are places like Hasnosaka and Kashimayari If you go over there, you’ll find the place I introduced yesterday There are many ski resorts, and there are also many inbound customers In winter, it’s a place that really comes alive Summer is fun too, right? Yesterday’s nature park was the same You can also go to Hakkō Pond and such, You can take the lift or gondola and go right up to the top You can do serious mountain climbing here, and it’s an area where you can also go trekking It’s a tourist spot after all There are so many delicious cafes and restaurants, anyway There are a lot of cafes, I guess I’m going to a niche place like Satoru Coffee, haha It’s delicious there, right? And then there’s Sounds Like Cafe, etc Cafes are cheap, you know There are plenty of places where you can drink for around 500 yen You can drink authentic coffee I recommend it It’s super cliché, but it’s the Starbucks at Snow Peak in Hakuba The view is absolutely amazing and the best They have put out Snow Peak chairs outside You can drink coffee outside Right in front of you, there’s a majestic view of the white horse mountain It’s a really nice place There’s a Starbucks inside Snow Peak, but there’s also a café on the second floor of The North Face The view from there is amazing too That street has become like an outdoor shop street There are also places like Patagonia and Kōjitsu Sansō, so you can enjoy shopping too It’s shopping for outdoor gear It’s an area where you can enjoy yourself There are many restaurants besides cafes anyway, What we like is Prairie sweets & restaurant This part is essential, isn’t it? It’s Italian, isn’t it? The dessert is also incredibly delicious And the gelato is delicious too Homemade gelato as well It’s incredibly high quality I think a reservation is essential since it’s a small shop I think it’s a good idea to properly check the business days as well It’s our favorite store in Hakuba By the way, Hakuba is surprisingly a resort like that There are many set meal restaurants like Raimu Raijin and Daikoku Shokudo It’s a diner that I quite like and often visit If you’re looking for a genuine restaurant with a unique experience, then it’s Restaurant & Cafe Pilar You have to take a lift to get to the restaurant located on the mountainside of Happo One The authentic Italian restaurant over there This place is great too There is also a café menu, but there is a proper restaurant in the back At a place where you can enjoy a full course meal while drinking alcohol A little elegant It’s quite elegant, isn’t it? You can spend a moment there It makes me think that it would be nice to go just there The view is amazing and the food is delicious I recommend it Also, while Hakuba might not be very well known, it actually has a ton of hot springs There are a variety of unique and rich hot spring qualities There are many good hot springs There are various places ranging from high-end to more common ones Before we knew it, we arrived This is the first stop at the Hakuba roadside station today Let’s go check it out I haven’t really been here much either I’ve been here a few times, though I haven’t come here very often It’s always closed, isn’t it? It has a bit of a cozy feel to it, doesn’t it? Look, there’s one like this of the white horse That’s amazing! There’s a hot spring tour map out While we were talking about that, I didn’t know this existed! Wow! There are as many as 9 places? I heard there are as many as 11 amazing places! Is it in the village? I didn’t know there was something like this I’ve probably been there about half the time I really want to try the Tenjin no Yu at Hakuba Highland I’ve never been here before I’ve been quietly curious about this The hot spring of the village It feels like a hot spring that has been around for a long time The hot spring of the old folk house at Sierra Resort It was really great, wasn’t it? I really want to try the snow carrot juice~~ I’m thinking of going with this all of a sudden Looks delicious There are many pickles, such as nozawana It’s Hakuba ham The original goods and stickers are amazing There’s also a restaurant It’s a white horse pig Grilled wild garlic and pork rice bowl Sounds good! Pork ginger stir-fry set meal with white horse There are so many delicious-looking dishes! I didn’t know there was a restaurant I bought it! A mixed juice of snow carrots from Hakuba Village It’s high-end 500 yen Let’s try drinking it How is it? The flesh is amazing! It’s not that sweet A sweetness that doesn’t use any sugar That’s amazing! Fruit flesh It’s delicious!! It feels like I’m eating something That’s true No preservatives or colorings are used at all There’s also an apple in there, huh? That’s how it feels, right? It’s delicious! It’s high-end, but I like it Alright, let’s go! I’m glad I was able to buy some good carrot juice Delicious! Thanks to this series of roadside stations, I’m really enjoying it I’m really happy to be able to buy something like this There’s no way I can buy it I usually can’t buy this If it’s 500 yen for this size… We can’t buy it, can we? But we have permission to buy it properly I’m happy, lol It’s starting to rain, isn’t it? The next stop is the roadside station Azumino Matsukawa We’re already in Azumino, huh? It’s about 30km from here, but we’ll go there all at once I’ll be following this Route 148 the whole way To the right, there is Aoki Lake There is Kizaki Lake There is a beautiful lake A cafe called ao LAKESIDE CAFE has opened at Aoki Lake, right? Was it last year? It’s built by the lakeside There’s a terrace with an amazing view You can use it just for the café Drinking coffee there is the best moment The transparency of Aoki Lake is amazing again, so the water is incredibly beautiful It’s a lake with spring water It’s the best feeling to drink coffee while gazing at that beautiful lake It’s not expensive, is it? Coffee too You can do SUP in the summer, right? You can paddle right up on a SUP You can paddle up on a SUP, buy coffee, and drink it on the SUP It’s seriously the best I wonder if the beautiful Asa Coffee I introduced yesterday is a bit up the mountain This is the area Now, if you go straight from here It’s towards Ōmachi or Azumino Since we’re here, let’s go from Aoki Lake The distance isn’t that different anyway If we go this way, we can pass through ao, so let’s give it a try This area is probably the highest point around here When coming from Omachi to Hakuba, this is where it really goes up It’s a place where you can go down towards Hakuba and also down towards Omachi I was making various things again the other day A building that catches my interest I feel like I can still do something more It said ‘alcohol from around the world’ I wonder what that means? This is Lake Aoki on the right side Arrival at ao It’s the best, really, here If we go about 1km like this, we can get back to the national road, so there’s really no need to turn back If we’re going to do it anyway, it’s better to take this road It’s nice to run along the lake, isn’t it? If you go a little further in this area, you’ll find the Kashimayari Ski Resort You can get to the Kashimayari Ski Resort from here as well as from the Omachi side, but it’s easier to go from here You can go smoothly If you go in for about another kilometer, you can almost get there without climbing any hills I can see Lake Kizaki Lake Kizaki and the Oito Line run alongside here, and that feeling is just amazing It’s hard to get the timing right, isn’t it? Trains don’t come all the time, you know It’s really beautiful when it runs just like that You take a lot of photos, don’t you? There are a lot of people taking photos, huh? We’ve passed by here often too, so we’ve seen it a few times When I see that, I can’t help but want to ride it What’s amazing is that you can get to Hakuba by Azusa train You can get there directly from Shinjuku with just one train Passing by this lake in this great nature You can get to Hakuba I think that’s good too That’s awesome It’s this right track, isn’t it? Because there’s a level crossing I can come by train while looking at this I think it’s the best Well, it’s Omachi City Around here, the tourist spot is the Kurobe Dam, right? There’s the Omachi Onsen area That place is quite a hidden gem, or rather, it’s not crowded, right? The hot springs Compared to places like Hakuba It’s a bit far away, you know From the ski resort area, So I like to take my time, and we often go there When it comes to gourmet food in Omachi, you can’t miss this Chinese Cuisine Tawara-ya Restaurant I go there often Tawarayasan A cheap, authentic, and delicious Chinese restaurant In that shopping district, there are plenty of delicious places like Moku Moku-tei and others You can park your car there for free, right? There is a parking lot, so park there There are plenty of delicious restaurants around here I recommend it If we go from here, it’s the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route I went there a long time ago when I was in kindergarten, but I haven’t been there since, not from here The electric bus disappeared a little while ago, right? But somehow, after transferring various times, like the ropeway and electric bus You can transfer through various means and get to Tateyama Murodo via the Kurobe Dam, I have a really fun memory of it, though It’s a hassle to transfer so many times, isn’t it? That’s why we tend to go around to the Tateyama side From that place in Toyama Prefecture, you can get there quickly by bus and cable car I tend to go over there without thinking about it I definitely want to go at least once And after passing through Omachi, I wonder if it becomes Azumino in Matsukawa Village Well, this area is Azumino, right? I’m not sure if I should say this, but It’s very popular in Azumino What’s amazing about Azumino is that the view is just incredible Around here in Azumino, Matsukawa, and Ikeda The car’s license plate should have been completed There should be a license plate called Azumino I think this area matches the image of Azumino perfectly The view is beautiful, anyway The view of the Northern Alps is beautiful An area where a lot of beautiful spring water is bubbling up If we’re talking about tourist spots, it would definitely be the Daio Wasabi Farm It’s famous, right? It’s been around since I was a kid, like wasabi soft serve and such You can actually buy wasabi too And also, wasabi pickles I think there was something like wasabi pickles that had a shelf life of a few minutes There are things like that They also sell something like the ultimate wasabi pickles there I think people who go mountain climbing often visit the mountains around here Just wandering around this town feels nice, and there are plenty of museums too Around here There’s a road called Art Line There are many beautiful spots with cherry blossoms I think Hikari Castle Mountain is in Azumino City There are many famous cherry blossom spots Then there’s the bicycle square The moss phlox and cherry blossoms around Hikage Pond are truly magnificent It’s an area where a stunning rural landscape spreads out It’s relatively flat even among the areas in Nagano Prefecture It’s flat, isn’t it? I think we’re steadily climbing towards Matsumoto, but it’s slow Is this an open area? Around here… But you can see beautiful mountains in every direction, majestic mountains It will be an area where you can see snow-capped mountains for about half of the year I think Azumino is also a gourmet town Delicious cafes and restaurants I thought about which one to choose, and there are already a ton of options How about it? Is it Gohanya light? That’s amazing It’s a Japanese restaurant with a variety of small bowls, allowing you to sample a little bit of many different dishes The rest is that I like the Neapolitan pizza from the pizzeria TASUKU It was delicious, wasn’t it? I’m thinking I want to go here again Then, if we’re talking about the cafeteria, it’s Susawata Cafeteria After all, the famous one is… I think it was chicken offal The chicken offal here is incredibly delicious There are also many cafes and such, I moved here from Matsumoto this year Newmolas is famous, right? Delicious and I think the café will reopen around April Is the café space an eat-in space? There’s also a delicious gelato shop here, and they have a store in Matsumoto as well Mount Desert Island Ice Cream The shop in Azumino also serves soft serve ice cream Was it in Matsumoto first? In Japan, It’s a store in America, right? In Japan, there are probably only these two stores I think the ones in cups are sold in various places We happened to go to Washington, right? But I feel like the food in Japan is more delicious It’s kind of elaborate, isn’t it? It’s Muscat from Nanto Town, for example It’s ice cream made with Masumi sake, for example I haven’t been able to eat, but there are quite a few dishes that use a lot of alcohol Like liqueurs and also brandy I’m thinking I want to try eating that next time Alright, it’s almost here Roadside Station Azumino Matsukawa ‘Yotte Tamatsukawa’ – it says Azumino Matsukawa here, but… It’s technically in Matsukawa Village It’s raining heavily Rain, rain—it’s been a while! Shall we give it a try? We can’t shoot here, so let’s buy something Wow! Takeout menu It’s cheap They say the ginger pork bento is 800 yen The rice is 100 yen Isn’t it amazing? lol Well, I bought it The place called Nakayama, the hometown of Matsukawa’s oyaki The dried radish with minced meat looks delicious It seems to be called Alps Manju I just had it warmed up a bit Looks delicious Is it dried daikon radish? Let’s eat! Wow, this is delicious! It’s delicious! It’s fluffy, isn’t it? Delicious, delicious This one is 160 yen cheaper It usually costs around 200 yen, right? Next, it’s just on the other side of this river It’s just on the other side, about 5 km from here It’s 5 km away, but it’s right in front of us, isn’t it? Let’s go to the roadside station called Ikeda I’m fishing in this big river With an incredibly long rod But it was a telescopic rod I actually like Ikeda Town quite a bit It has a hidden gem feel, doesn’t it? In terms of popularity, it’s a bit more minor compared to places like Azumino or Hakuba, but it has nature as well Hakuba is also nearby There are also supermarkets like Tsuruya and Big, which is pretty good It’s easy to get to Matsumoto too If you drop down quickly, you can get out right away It’s the mountains that aren’t the Northern Alps, from Azumino The area visible to the eye feels somewhat expansive I think it’s a nice place to relax After all, the famous spot in Ikeda Town is definitely the Rikugou Zakusen Gorge Then there’s the mountain cherry tree called Yume Farm It’s incredibly beautiful, isn’t it? Then from the Northern Alps Observation Square The view of the Northern Alps is incredibly beautiful It’s amazing there too, isn’t it? There’s a big maple tree, right? Is it called the Seven-colored Big Maple? It’s a very magnificent tree, isn’t it? It’s big, so the colors are different in different parts Some places have started to change color, while others haven’t yet Ooyukikei Sake Brewery Liquor Store The plum wine here was incredibly delicious, wasn’t it? We really like it, don’t we? That alcohol isn’t very strong, but it’s delicious Yes, I’ve arrived Ikeda Herb Center That’s amazing! Isn’t this a herb garden? I wonder if we can go see that? Oh, I didn’t know that The herb garden is really huge, isn’t it? As expected from Azumino! The water is gushing out! Is this also a roadside station? Insect-repelling herbs It seems that the climate in Ikeda Town is suitable for herb cultivation Many herbs and plants are being grown inside the house That’s amazing! Lemon? Is that lemon from the depths of Nagano Prefecture? So this is what lemon flowers look like I sometimes see them when they’re a bit pink Like in the Seto Inland Sea, you know? How about this? This is even more amazing! Guava!! And this is Elder, you often hear about elderflower, right? With herbal tea It’s made with herbal tea It’s this big? I thought it would be more like a smaller dandelion Wow, that’s amazing! Herb milk tea and so on There are many types of herbal tea You can drink herbal tea here I heard you can buy a takeout cup for 50 yen This is nice! Do you want to buy one of each that you like? I’ll go with this one Herbal tea featuring black peppermint made exclusively from herbs grown in Azumino Mount Desert Island Ice Cream I was able to buy a good one Maybe 250 yen each I’m looking forward to it!! It’s a bit chilly today, so let’s drink later Come on, let’s take a look over here too Direct sales store This roadside station is fun! Full of herbs Full of herbs I’ve never seen before There is also a restaurant here Isn’t this place full of herbs too? It’s lavender It’s chamomile soap A big egg The green onion bud is free lol Feel free to do as you like Even the tips of the green onions Next door is a confectionery workshop Handmade confectionery workshop The roadside station here was so much fun! As you keep going around, it gradually becomes mostly things from Nagano Prefecture There are a lot of the same things, right? But there are many things here that you can only buy here That was really good and interesting There’s a place right next door where they grow herbs Are you just bringing it over from there as is? It seems that Ikeda Town is putting a lot of effort into herbs I heard that the climate is suitable for growing herbs At an altitude of over 500 meters, it resembles the climate of Europe It seems like it could apply to all the municipalities in Nagano Prefecture, lol It seems to be that kind of place Wow, this is fun! It’s pretty good, isn’t it? Of course, you can buy the herbs you’ve grown Herbs that I’m growing You can also buy it in a pot This roadside station is a bit of a hidden gem You can also veer off from the white horse If you go straight north from here, you’ll eventually end up towards Omachi The road from Matsukawa Village earlier is definitely the main route I think I’ll go from that direction and head to the roadside station over there This place is quite a hidden gem; it’s nice and not crowded It’s interesting, and you can buy a lot of herbs at the roadside station, making it easy to shop At Tsuruya and Big
