Let’s explore together. [Music] Welcome to Tree Papa’s channel. To commute in Taiwan from north to south nowadays, the most efficient and popular way is taking Taiwan highspeed rail or called THSR. It takes only 90 minutes from Taipei to Kaosong for this 400 km journey. Other transportation like buses or regular trains cost much less but you’ll spend four to 5 hours to reach your destination. However, there’s a premium option traveling in THSR business class. But did you know you’ll enjoy not just a better seat but many perks before the complete business class report. As always, I’ll share how we got back to Taiwan last time. Previously, I flew out from Bangkoki airport. There are many ways to buy your ticket, but for taking business class seat, I recommend purchasing on the official THSR website to secure your ticket and choose your preferred seat. Taipei Main Station is usually crowded and full of great shops where you can buy local souvenirs or enjoy international cuisine at the restaurants or take your food to the waiting lounge or enjoy at your seat. Let’s head downstairs to the terminal. First tip, don’t arrive too early. The waiting area at platform has limited seats and shops and it has no air conditioning. It could be very hot during summertime. Just come here around 10 minutes before departure. Business class is always in car 6. Second tip, if you have large luggage, must board through doors 1 to 9. You’ll find more space for luggage there. Even though the other side showing you can board from the back, the entrance is actually shares with standard class car 7 and cues are required. Moreover, the luggage space is way smaller that you should know. All right, let’s get on board. It’s time to check out our seat. Business class has a 22 configuration, wider than standard class 2 three configuration. It features a reclining seat, larger tray table, large armrest, personal reading light, a US power outlet for your mobile charging, overhead compartment for small bags, a coat hanger equipped with a footrest for a bit extra comfort. Since business class costs double than standard class, you get more than just a premium seat. Soon staff come and offer complimentary local newspapers, unlimited free snacks and drinks, including hot coffee and tea, room temperature juice, and bottled water. Third tip, don’t hesitate to ask for more if you like the snacks. By the way, paid options like lunch boxes and souvenirs are also available. If you’re traveling with kids under six, they can ride for free on your lap or go for a halfp price ticket. They get their own seat. Now, we’ve arrived at Gausong Zoying Station, which is crowded with shops [Music] and connected to Shinguang Mitsukoshi Mall. To reach the city center, the metro is very convenient and takes about 20 minutes only. That’s all for today’s thsr business class report.
