The first restaurant I will introduce is Kunikami Shokudo, which is probably the most famous hole in the wall in northern Okinawa . I rented a car at Naha Airport and headed straight there. It was about an hour and a half. I didn’t make a reservation because I couldn’t predict the exact time of arrival . When I arrived at the restaurant, there were a few people waiting. There was a beautiful sea in front of the restaurant. The restaurant is next to Kunikami Travel, and they serve fresh fish caught here that morning. How luxurious. It took about 20 minutes for my turn to come. The restaurant is larger than I expected and there are counter seats. The menu is naturally centered on fish dishes, but here I chose butter-fried fish . I quench my thirst with beer while waiting for the food to arrive. Wow, it’s delicious. Of course, I’m driving, so no. The vivid colors are tropical and wonderful. While I was doing this, the food arrived. I was surprised to see a whole fish in it. I ordered one type of sashimi, octopus and tuna. The meat of the fish was steaming hot, and the taste of the butter was rich and thick, and the cabbage was also rich. I don’t know what kind of fish it was, but it was gorgeous. Wow, I’m full. Kunikami Shokudo is a very popular restaurant, so it’s best to make a reservation if possible. Kakka Cafe, which serves island cuisine, is located in the back. The second place I’d like to introduce is Kakka Cafe, a cafe in the northernmost part of Okinawa’s main island . It’s about an hour’s drive from Yanbaru Experience to Kakka Cafe. Kakka Cafe is a restaurant that serves Okinawan natural vegetable cuisine using local island vegetables. It’s like a tea drink made by Fukunako-kun. Now, let’s go deeper. I’m a little excited. Two customers were already waiting for me, who was late. It’s just the universe. The restaurant is full of nature. If you can put it on your beanbag, you should buy this and this. Here, we sell interesting products made by Naoya, such as tea processed from local ingredients. It’s very interesting because you will never find it at roadside stations or souvenir shops. The food has arrived. So, welcome to today, I’m Go. Thank you for your cooperation. At my place, basically, everyone is given wild grass dishes. And you can eat all the leaves and flowers that are laid out on the bottom. And. Yes. It’s cute. Yes. And, this is a seironben shape, and at the bottom, it’s called Hirayachi, and it’s like a shrunken tofu. On the left is Ibara nori tofu that has been boiled and hardened. On the right is morning nori egg omelet. This is the tsubuki tooth stew that is found in the grasslands and forests near the coast. This is the stem of the island mushroom, and even more fried tempura is served. And this is the juicy island layer. The taste is gentle and refreshing. If you don’t feel it, you ‘ll be disappointed. Anyway, the amount is so huge that you can eat it and it never runs out. It’s like an endless stream of tempura. This is the eye part of a huge plant. The crunchy texture is irresistible. You can even eat the nose. And finally, there is Naoya Jimami Tofu, which has a lot of falling fat. Unlike regular tofu, it stretches with the skin, so you need to be careful when eating it. I managed to finish it all. Even so, the amount was huge. Kakka Cafe is a restaurant that serves Okinawan natural vegetable dishes using local island vegetables. Mori no Fukuro, where grandma’s homemade food is delicious. The last restaurant I’d like to introduce is Mori no San, a karaoke set meal restaurant that tourists looking for dinner are unlikely to go to. I stopped by Family Wart on the way, so it was a huge detour. The restaurant was located at the east entrance and was extremely difficult to find, so I managed to get there using Google Maps. I vomited on my slippers and it looked like a community center from the Showa era. The inside of the restaurant is not at all Okinawa-like, it’s a super long log cabin, like being in the mountains of the northern part of the country. By the way, all the big tables in this restaurant are full. It looks insanely expensive. Inside the restaurant, there are huge piles of thick mashed soba noodles. There is a menu on the wall, but it seems that they only serve two types: bagged and Okinawa soba . I haven’t tried Okinawa soba yet, so I ordered it. After waiting for 10 minutes, the soba arrived. It looks simple, and it has a homey impression, unlike the soba you see in the city. The pork on top is quite pink. This is a characteristic of low-temperature cooking. It also came with spicy pickles. The side dish has a common feel, not like a modern specialty. The meat here is interesting. When I asked about it, I found out that it was smoked pork when it was made in this restaurant. Let’s change the taste with Skys from the enemy. It had a spicy feeling. It also comes with macaroni salad. It’s perfect for a bridge break. I managed to finish it all. It was muffin 2, but it was quite delicious. They even let me cry and gave me a free fruit dessert .
