Going to outlet stores in Japan They all seems look pretty much the same? Well, you obviously haven’t been to… This place opened in October 2022 It’s inspired by Fukaya City’s famous red bricks The whole mall is dark colors mixed with red brick The design is on point! Plus there’s tons of permanent art everywhere You can shop and soak in some culture at the same time Pretty cool, right? They’ve got loads of new brands here for the first time Plus lots of Saitama and Fukaya exclusive souvenir shops And this place is super pet-friendly! There’s tons of shops and restaurants where you can hang out with your dogs Come with me, let’s find some staff to tell us what’s worth buying! Hey guys, I’m Mr. PEGGY It’s June in Japan, so we’re in rainy season Even though it’s drizzling right now it’s not gonna stop me from shopping! Today I’m at Fukaya Garden Premium Outlets going shopping crazy There’s so many unique stores here that you won’t find at other outlets Plus this place is super dog-friendly Tons of restaurants and shops have special stuff just for pets You can only get them here Like always, I’m gonna get the local staff to show me the must-buy items Wanna know what you need to get this spring and summer? You gotta keep watching Alright, no time to waste It’s raining, so let’s get inside this gorgeous mall and shop! Let’s go! Koedo Mamoya’s been around since 1949 It’s this old-school bean snack shop from Kawagoe Koedo… Mamoya! They use traditional methods to make all kinds of sweet beans and snacks Locals and tourists totally love it This ice cream… the sweet potato on top you dip it in the sweet potato and eat it together This kinako soft serve is so rich and creamy! It’s amazing! Thank you so much, I’m so happy! Our kinako comes from Chichibu It’s called the “phantom soybean” – Zero-Loan Soybean We use this super rare soybean to make kinako for our soft serve This is our handmade sweet beans made from broad beans The most popular one is this kinako sweet bean You just pick it up and dip it like this They don’t have many stores Besides their main shop in Kawagoe this Fukaya Garden branch is the only other one in Japan Since we’re here, gotta try all 100+ flavors of bean snacks! This is number one in the snack category… Yep… Corn cheese flavor?! That’s such a crazy flavor, they even showed it on TV… They really have sweet and savory options There’s even corn soup flavor – that’s insane! This one’s made with a special technique for shaved ice flavor Let me try it… Whoa, it actually feels fizzy… Yeah, it’s got that carbonated taste… If you want Saitama Prefecture exclusive stuff you gotta check out “Maruhiro Department Store” This place has everything from Saitama Prefecture Food, crafts, you name it Even the locals come here to stock up For real Saitama souvenirs this place is a must-visit I’m Arai from Moi Saitama So please tell us about your popular products Garden honey cake? Yes, we made this with the local honey farm at Fukaya Garden It’s exclusive – you can only get it here This rice cracker has Fukaya’s mascot Fuka-chan on it His name is “Fuka-chan”… These are miso-flavored chips… That’s one of our specialties Ice pops that don’t melt? Perfect for summer! So cute~ This fashion brand been around since 1986 They’re all about outdoor lifestyle fashion with an Urban Vintage vibe They’ve got tons of limited edition stuff here too Let’s find the manager and see what cool fashion finds they’ve got Manager Nakamura, nice to meet you! Please show us this year’s hot items Sure thing! First, let me show you what’s on the mannequin… This top with ruffles and the logo Super cute! The fabric’s been bleached and treated… This color gives it that vintage casual look We’ve got all kinds of T-shirts too This oversized tee with the logo has some flower embroidery on it It’s really adorable This is like FREAK’S STORE’s signature item It’s sauna wear You know what saunas are, right? It’s what you wear inside sauna facilities So… Taiwan has this place called “PARIPARI” This is a brand collab we did with them I want this so bad~ I don’t usually get to try high-end skincare but coming here for these discounts I can actually try some stuff out This is an Estée Lauder Group outlet The most popular thing… has gotta be this amazing Estée Lauder serum Whether you’ve got dry skin or oily skin this serum works for everyone Jo Malone’s… perfumes are super popular too Even Better’s Radical Bright Serum also gives you that glow The trending colors right now are brownish tones that match your skin… Nude colors… In summer, orange tones are really popular too – super glossy Makes your skin look more radiant Just ‘cause you’re in Japan doesn’t mean you only eat Japanese food This popular Tokyo Mexican restaurant is my personal fave Just look at this place Way better than your typical outlet mall restaurant They’ve got legit Mexican food and it’s dog-friendly too! Look, they even have a special doggy menu! I’d totally love to bring Ku-chan here for a date – so cool… I love how they cook so many dishes fresh right in front of you You can watch while you eat Makes you even hungrier! This is gonna be so good – made fresh right here… Mmm, that cheese smells amazing I can smell it from here And of course we gotta end with dessert Time for me to show you how it’s done with dessert… Just seeing this giant Gari Gari kun already makes me feel cool and refreshed Can’t believe this outlet mall has this free Gari Gari kun playground! I kinda wanted to try it but now I’m too scared… You guys can go ahead and play Akagi Dairy makes Gari Gari kun ice pops and their headquarters is right here in Fukaya City This isn’t just a Premium Outlets exclusive it’s Japan’s only Gari Gari kun theme store! Besides the playground stuff they’ve got tons of exclusive merch This is a bath bomb shaped like an ice pop Using this in your hotel bath would be so cool Are these like individual cups? Held in cups… Can adults actually ride this thing? I’ll come back after I lose some weight… Awesome, this is my favorite… Mint chocolate~ Thanks… Here I go So good!
