If you would like to support us, please subscribe to our channel and give us a like! Good morning. We are EluCoco Travel. Once again, we are driving on the highway toward Kansai Airport early in the morning. Our destination this time is Miyakojima. The sky in Osaka is not clear, but it’s not bad. Sleepy! Sleepy! I had to wake up at 4:30am again this time. Ah, I’m so sleepy! What will the weather be like in Miyakojima? This is my first time in Miyakojima, so I’m really looking forward to it. I’ve already reached the Kansai Airport Link Bridge. Go through the toll booth Head to the parking lot. This time, I’m not flying with the usual Peach but with JTA, which is part of the JAL Group I park in P1 in Terminal 1. いつも利用する第2ターミナルは青空駐車 This is a multi-storey car park with a roof, which is nice.
(The parking fee is the same though…) Even though it was early in the morning, there were a lot of people. Even though it’s early in the morning, there are a lot of people. Is this long line for baggage check-in? We’re waiting in line here. I was relieved to be able to check it in safely. Both JAL and ANA had face-in panels.
There’s also Miyakumiyaku here. The entrance for domestic departures has changed.
It used to be in the center. Sorry, it’s taking a bit of time. I passed through security safely and headed to the boarding gate. I got on the moving walkway. It’s comfortable But it’s surprisingly slow.
The flight attendant overtook me (lol). It’s better to walk after all. This is the last stop.
Be careful when getting off. KIX-ITM card point registration. This card is recommended for those using Kansai Airport. You can get great deals with discounts on parking fees, Rapi:t, limousine buses, shopping, and dining at Kansai Airport. I’ll put a link in the description. This is the commercial facility area It’s been renovated It has a nice, calm, modern atmosphere. There are restaurants, souvenir shops, convenience stores, etc. We proceed to the boarding gate. When I look out the window Our plane is waiting for us. Looks like we’ll be boarding soon. Going through the automatic ticket gate. Nice to meet you. Best regards. Starting to move towards the runway. We are finally taking off. Goodbye to Kansai Airport for a while. The sea of clouds was beautiful from halfway through. That means It’s cloudy below. But even when it’s cloudy, the sea is this beautiful I wonder what kind of scenery we’d see if it was sunny. The formidable Miyakojima! We’ll be landing soon. We’ve landed safely. Thank you for a pleasant flight. Unlike usual, I hardly slept this time. To the baggage claim area An aquarium in a place like this You can have fun while waiting for your luggage. Collect your luggage and head to the arrival lobby This time I rented a car from Sky Rent-a-Car. A staff member will be waiting for you in the lobby. I found the first Mamoru-kun in front of the police box! There are 21 statues on Miyako Island, including Maruko-chan. There is a giant Shisa in the center of the lobby Hello This is “Ataraka Shisa” made by Rico Ushiyama. It is made using red tiles, plaster, and shells collected from the waters off Miyako Island. It is made using red tiles, plaster, and shells collected from the waters off Miyako Island. A staff member escorts us to our destination. Leaving the airport, we are greeted by a peaceful landscape with no buildings. Suddenly! Out of place? A building I’ll correct that, it’s a modern building It looks like we’re heading towards that building. This is Hotel Torifito Miyakojima Resort. The rental car office is on the first floor of this hotel. The car we received was a Yaris Cross
It was a beautiful car, almost like new. We immediately got in the car and set off. The first place to go is Yonaha Maehama Yonaha Maehama is about a 15-minute drive from Miyako Airport. 7km of white sand beach and crystal clear emerald green sea It is also said to be “the most beautiful beach in the Orient”. However, it is cloudy today, so I wonder how far the view will be. Second Mamoru-kun discovered! There’s a pigeon in the middle of the road. Straight ahead soon? I think I took a wrong turn. Making a U-turn. In my defense, I was distracted by pigeons. It’s here. Don’t make the same mistake. Normally, you wouldn’t make a mistake. Pull yourself back together. We arrived at the parking lot at Yonaha Maehama. The parking lot is surprisingly small. Then let’s go to the beach. There are beach houses and it seems that you can do marine activities. You can see the Kurima Bridge right in front of you. Several couples have come here to take wedding photos. The sand sculptures of dolphins and sea turtles are amazing. But some of them were destroyed. It’s sad. Beach umbrellas and chairs are also available. Of course, there is a fee. It’s amazing! Even though it’s cloudy, it’s still so beautiful. The water is incredibly clear. The beach stretches out for 7km. It’s no wonder it’s said to be the best in the Orient. Planes fly overhead towards the airport. I’d like to come back on a nice day I’m looking forward to seeing what kind of scenery awaits me. After leaving Yonaha Maehama, our next destination is Ryugujo Observatory Ryugujo Observatory is a three-story observation deck modeled after Ryugujo Castle, located on a hill on Kurima Island. It’s about 10 minutes from Yonaha Maehama and about 20 minutes by car from the airport. Kurima Island is connected to the island by the Kurima Bridge, and is accessible by car. I’ve heard that the view from the bridge is exceptional, but what about today? A straight road continues to Kurima Island. The Miyako blue sea is on both sides of the bridge. The blue gradation is very beautiful. The 1,690m long Kurima Bridge, completed in 1995, connects Miyako Island and Kurima Island. It is currently a city road, but originally it was one of the longest farm road bridges in Japan. There is a sidewalk, so it might be a good idea to cross on foot or by rental bicycle. Kurima Island is getting bigger and we’re nearing the end. What did you think? The Kurima Bridge is definitely the best driving course. We have landed on Kurima Island (lol). From here on we’ll be driving through a village, so we have to be careful. We missed the guide signs, though we thought something was strange, we had no choice but to continue on. We got onto a wide road. Somehow we arrived at Ryugujo Observatory. The facility guide map is outdated. We found a tandem bicycle! It would be nice to go around the island with this. There are stairs to the observatory, as expected. Sightseeing requires physical strength. This is the view from the first floor. It’s on a hill so the view is beautiful even from here. There is a mural next to the stairs. From the second floor window, you can see this cutout view. You have arrived on the third floor. Kurima Bridge Yonaha Maehama Beach Irabu Island The gradation of the blue ocean is very beautiful. There are chairs for resting on the third floor. If you look back you can see the whole island. Please subscribe to our channel. Before we knew it, it was lunchtime. We went to a nearby Okinawa soba restaurant. This is the popular restaurant “Marukami”. As expected, it was full because it was lunchtime. The wait was an hour. We bought a meal ticket first and made a reservation for our turn to wait. While we were waiting, we decided to go to the nearby “Tako Park.” We arrived in a few minutes by car. There are several parking spaces. Someone was having their wedding photos taken here too. This is bougainvillea. The flower’s meanings are “I can only see you” and “Passion”, perfect for weddings. It seems there’s still a long way to go. The large leaves are shining. It’s surprisingly far away. There it is! An octopus monster!! I mean, a giant octopus monument. It’s definitely Octopus Park. But who made it? Apparently this octopus can be seen from Kurima Bridge. It’s in a gazebo, so you can relax here. Its red legs are so eye-catching! Looking up, you can see that it has a mouth.
It’s not a belly, apparently. There is a small beach called Tako Park Shita Beach next to the park. We go through these bushes. Once you get through the bushes you will come to a small beach in an open area. Apparently you can also enjoy snorkeling. There are no showers and there are not many people so it is all at your own risk, so please be careful. We returned to “Marukami”. There were goats next to the parking lot.
Perfect way to kill time while you wait? I was called and went inside. I ordered and paid with the usual ticket machine. You can choose between curly noodles and straight noodles. It appears that the house has been converted into a shop. It is small with only five low tables. The condiments are pickled ginger, koregusu, chili pepper, etc. I ordered
“Marukami Soba Small” with curly noodles. And straight noodles. The cartilage soki was so big I couldn’t hold it with just chopsticks. And the incredibly delicious sanmai pork. These are curly noodles with a chewy texture. Personally, I prefer the straight noodles
m(__)m. Thank you for the meal.
It was delicious. The soup is delicious with the bonito stock, and the meat is big and tender. I recommend it, but there is a wait time… If you plan to visit Ryugu Observatory and Marukami, it might be a good idea to make a reservation beforehand before going to the observatory. It’s time to say goodbye to Kurima Island. Of course, we will also drive over the Kurima Bridge on the way back. It’s such a luxury to be able to see this wonderful view again. It’s about time to land in Miyakojima (lol). We’ll stop by the supermarket for a bit of shopping. When you think of supermarkets in Okinawa, you think of San-A. There aren’t many places to shop from here on out, so we’ll get the things we need now. After shopping, we headed to Ingya Marine Garden. It’s about a 15-minute drive from Miyako Airport. It’s a seaside park that makes use of a natural cove on Ingya Beach in the southern part of Miyakojima City. I’ve heard that the view from the observation deck is exceptional. It’s also perfect for snorkeling because the waves are calm. But I can’t find any telegraph poles. That means there are no streetlights, so it’s pitch black at night.
Maybe the stars are beautiful. Turn right here and you’re almost there. We’ve arrived at the parking lot. There is a coastline in front of the parking lot. I decide to go down. I pass through the plaza and head to the observation deck. I can take a relaxing break at the gazebo. I go straight ahead and follow the promenade. The cobalt blue ocean comes into view. From here there are stairs. The promenade is well maintained and easy to walk on. There’s a plaza so I decide to take a look inside. The blue ocean is beautiful. The observation deck is about 30m high, the height of a 10-story building. I do my best to climb. I reach the top of the stairs and reach the top. A spectacular 360-degree panoramic view. People are enjoying marine activities in the cove. Why is there a cow object in a place like this? On the way back, follow the footpath along the ridge. We’ve returned to the gazebo. I’ll head to the hotel where I’ll be staying soon. This time we are staying at Wellness Villa Brisa. It’s one of the Shigira Seven Miles Resorts. It’s the building you can see directly ahead. This is getting long, so I’ll leave it here for now. I’ll introduce the hotel and the rest of my trip in the next video. I’m looking forward to seeing you again in the next video. Thank you for watching until the end.
