10 Days Road Trip to New Zealand, Here we are!! Let’s start our 10 Days Journey in NZ North Island enjoy the amazing scenery and delicious food Let’s get started! DAY0 HKG to AKL It takes about 10 hours flight from Hong Kong to Auckland wake up to see this beautiful sunrise outside the window The view from plane is awesome We are about to land, Pick up our car directly at the airport and set off to start our tour to Auckland City Centre Heading to Auckland City Centre It takes about 20 minutes to drive from Auckland Airport to the city center. Like Hong Kong, Auckland is a right-hand drive Auckland Sky Tower! We should be almost in the city center ~ There is a little traffic jam in the city center. I will stay in the city center of Auckland for one night tonight (missed the intersection to turn into the hotel~) New Zealand in July is almost close to winter, and you can still see some maple leaves on the street. After parking the car at our hotel, we went out for a walk and looked at the sea. Let’s get some food! We found a popular restaurant from Google The atmosphere was great and the food was delicious! Day2 : Auckland to Hamilton, then Cambridge takes about 1 hour and 20 minutes to get from Auckland city center to Hamilton First stop today: Hamilton Zoo we need to buy tickets before entering the zoo Animal Encounters… quite expensive… The area of ​​the Hamilton Zoo is larger than expected. You can see many animals in the Zoo Rhinoceros, really huge Beautiful Zebra and Giraffes! There are many others animals in the zoo, it worth 2-3hours visit. Moving to our second spot in Hamilton Hamilton Gardens ~ It takes about 20 minutes driving There are 18 gardens with different themes in Hamilton Gardens. If you drive through Hamilton on the North Island, you can stop by and check it out. ~ Arriving at Hamilton Gardens ~ Hamilton Gardens is like a maze with gardens of different themes connected one by one, and it is interesting to walk around ~ Tonight we will stay in Cambridge, 20-minute drive from Hamilton City and then we will continue to go south tomorrow morning to join the “Glowworm” Tour in Waitomo Before that, we will need to get our dinner from town There are large supermarkets Woolworths and Chemist Warehouse in Cambridge we got all we need for our road trip and also dinner ingredients for tomorrow dinner at cabin ~ The room is comfortable and the breakfast is delicious~ took a sunset walk before dinner again, we found a restaurant from Google – 4.8/5

Highly Recommend~ Some Photos of Day 1 & Day 2 Good Morning ~ Today we are going to join two tours at Waitomo it take about an hour driving to Waitomo We have make our reservation online for the Waitomo Tour and we are visiting 2 most popular caves today,
will spend the whole day (and night) in Waitomo So lucky to see a beautiful rainbow soon we have arrived to Waitomo Glowworm Cave let’s redeem the ticket at ticket office and wait for the tour starts The first visit lasted 45 minutes. we are allowed to take phots at the last few minutes of the tour can still capture some glowworm using my phone and let’s take a look at our boat (it’s actually quite cool) The 45-minute visit is short but still fulfilling,
but we have higher expectation on the NEXT tour Good Photo Point There is still 1 hour left before have to join our next tour, , so we decided to take a walk at Waitomo Walkway It started to rain slightly when we walked halfway, but the scenery when we walked to the viewing platform was really good. It’s beautiful~ It takes about 5 minutes to drive to the next cave to visit, Ruakuri Cave. The second tour is a to visit Ruakuri Cave we walked down the spiral entrance and enjoy the naturally formed limestones Taking pictures and videos are allowed in Ruakuri Cave. There are much more glowworm in Ruakuri Cave than the first cave. There are much more glowworm in Ruakuri Cave than the first cave. New Zealand ’s glowworm appears in blue light. so beautiful~ The whole tour takes about 1.5 hours. The path inside the cave is very easy to walk. One of our favourite parts of this tour : the spectacular spiral entrance If you only have time to visit one tour, highly recommend Ruakuri Cave. After visiting the 2 caves, let’s head to our tonight accommodation We booked a cabin for one night at Waitomo but it was raining. I hope the weather will get better later~ Following the signs to the cabins It is my first time to stay in a cabin on the mountain. It is very adventurous. almost there~ We have finally arrived at our place for tonight – Te Tiro Accommodation It’s a warm and clean cabin, and the owner is super nice! ~ After settling in, the sky suddenly cleared up, (I couldn’t help but take a Timelapse after a long time). The changes in nature are really amazing. We enjoy watching the stars and the Milky Way at night. and took many many photos Heaing to the next city, Taupō, NEXT:

因為早已計劃明年會到紐西蘭南島（South Island）探朋友，這次突如其來的紐西蘭之旅就決定先去探索紐西蘭北島（North Island）吧～

10天9夜的北島自駕遊，我們會由奧克蘭出發～經漢密頓（Hamilton)、劍橋（Cambridge）到懷托摩螢火蟲洞穴（Waitimo Glowworm Caves）；再到陶波湖（Taupo）待3天2夜入住一間超美的Airbnb；然後繞到 羅托路亞（Rotorua）玩3天最後才返回奧克蘭。
