Chiang Mai to Pai Thailand – WE DIDN’T EXPECT THIS !

Hello from Chiang Mai. So if you’ve 
been following our channel for a while, you know we have done the best road by the sea 
in Nakon Tamarat. We have been to the floating roads in Nan Province and now we’re in a famous 
road from Chiang Mai to Pi which is known for its over 700 turns plus. So let’s go. We are passing 
a lot of landslides and collapsed roads on the way as well. So you have to be careful on the 
road. Perfect breakfast. Kanyao and Ming. All right. How you feeling so far? Super. What 
you can expect from this video? Coffee, food, beautiful views, and we also going to 
show you around Pi Village. Let’s go, guys. So, first things first, we need a bike. So, 
we’ve come to our favorite place and the best place in Chiang Mai and rental. We’ll tell 
you more about this bike on the way. Let’s go. First stop on our trip, it has 
to be coffee. We have to refuel because it’s a long way in front of us. Let’s go. Bit of upro. It’s beautiful around here. And we have arrived. This is a really nice spot. is called 
Gallery Cafe. Beautiful views around. We are surrounded by the rice fields. Very 
nice shaded area here as well. Let’s see if they have a good coffee. Just seen a baby 
snake. Stick your finger in the hole. No. Coffee is good. Bitter, strong, but with 
the view like that tastes even better. So, there is a little bamboo bridge here. I 
asked lady, “Oh, can I walk on it?” She said, “Yes, you can, but be very careful.” So, I’m 
trying to be careful. But coffee is really good. It’s bitter, but I got myself coconut 
americano and it’s perfect. Loads of ice, bit sweet, no added sugar, but look 
where we are in the surroundings like that. Anything tastes good. 
It’s beautiful. Yeah, mate. Try You don’t know the road and turns 
are really big yet. Please slow down. At least we have an endless supply 
of fuel. We’re good. Check it out. So yeah, a little bit about the bike. So 
obviously we got it from a place called Ants Rental. This will cost you 600 B per 
day, but we’ve got for the Honda ADV 160, which is if the two of you, that’s what you really 
need. The 125 is a little bit too small, I think. So yeah, we do need extra power because 
we have a luggage at the back as well, like a little box. So we are a little bit heavy. 
We’re going to be going through a lot of turns, a lot of mountain roads. So yeah, you need that 
power if you’re coming to pie. power. Woohoo! I can see why people get travel sick on this road. We’re going to be going 
right up there in a minute. I’m glad we picked to travel by bike, 
not by car. You can get here by car, by van, rent a motor bike. Oh, 
I can see some tiles as well. I actually read online that they say this 
road is actually mentally draining because the amount of concentration you have 
to put in while you’re driving. So, let’s see if I’m mentally challenged by the end of 
this. I can mentally challenge you. Don’t worry. Camera doesn’t give the justice. 
The road are super super dirty here. Quite heavy as well. It’s difficult 
to drive. N needs to concentrate at all. We are passing a lot of landslides and 
collapsed roads on the way as well. So you have to be careful on the road. But 
that’s probably a fail from last year. I don’t know if you remember, but we didn’t 
have a Chai Pure book last year and then Changai invired so much rain that it’s 
completely flooding the whole area. Can you smell that fresh cool mountain air? 
And the fumes from the back of this car. people literally sleeping in in the back of the song to house. They’re probably 
feeling not very well, I would say. We now winning. Winning the waste of time. 
Winning our life. Winning alive as well. Right, I think we’ve actually summited the 
mountain. I think we’re on our way back down now. Tell you what, it’s a little bit chilly up 
here though. Not used to this. Right, we entering the scenic area now. I hope we can stop somewhere 
for food cuz we are hungry. We haven’t eaten anything yet. Just had a coffee. Left Bangkok this 
morning. No food. No food, just coffee. Hungry. Very hungry. I’m glad we both jackets now. Yeah, 
definitely. And what’s really cool here, you can actually smell they got pine trees up here. I 
can actually smell the pine trees, man. Smells like Europe. We’re back in Europe somewhere. We 
probably going to stop soon and stretch our legs a bit. Uh cuz we’re getting quite tired now. 
How long we’ve been driving for now, Danny? Uh, I think maybe 2 and 1/2 hours already. 
We’ve been riding for 2 and 1/2 hours already. Yeah. Did you have to 11? It’s now 1:30. Oh, 
wow. We’re on Mayong. Let’s go do the loop. Let’s go. Maybe next time. Our new province. 
New province in Thailand. Meong. Oh, yeah. You can hide behind me. It’s 
okay. It’s too cold, man. could jump in a hot spring if you didn’t know 
the hot pie has a lot of hot springs around here. I know it does. You said not to bring 
shorts. I wasn’t talking to you. Oh, talking to them. Oh my god. Quick quick stop. Stretch the 
legs. Get some water and put the jacket on. It’s cold. This is quite cool. We’ve never had this 
before. So this time we actually have a back box. We put all our clothes and gear in here. It’s 
really handy actually. I like it. Oh, I need a toilet as well. Bush. What was that? Go in a bush. 
I think it’s like 500 m is toilet. Right. Look how nicely everything is packed. Oh, you got jackets 
on the top. Check you out. Super organized. Do you want your We have something a little special here 
which we’re going to re review in the next video. Aha. I feel so much warmer. I haven’t been cold 
for ages. But these are actually windproof as well, so it’s going to be perfect for on the 
bike. How do you like our new jackets? Come here. Show them. They’re proper winter gear. You 
see my head? Yeah. Red. Yeah, it’s red from my helmet. It’s pushing on my head. I need to 
sort that out. Right. Ready? Ready? Ready? Ready. Ready? Ready. I think we might come across 
some rain, I think. Right, helmets on, lids on. Let’s go. Absolutely love our bike. I think we’re 
going to get something like that for ourselves, right? I think we could have gone for this trip. 
We could have gone maybe one bigger to a 350, but with that, the price also goes up as 
well. So, this is good for our price range, isn’t it? I think I’m jumping on cuz 
I’m ready. Oh my Oh, my bottom hurts. with a jacket. Well, you don’t have to drive 
that fast. I’m literally not going to pee myself. I was joking. I need to pee as well. Actually, 
literally, we drove for 2 seconds. And there you go. You got a toilet. Little stop for food, which 
we’re going to have a snack as well. The toilets are really nice and clean. There is a little stop 
here with some food, which we need some snack now. Anything. Do we need fuel? No, we should be 
right to get the car. It’s not far. Oh, it’s local. You going to share it? Share it. Okay. Drink. Yeah, drink. Now 10 bar 60 bar. There’s 
quite a few of them in there. They got Gatorade. What do they got? Hello, Mr. Cow. I’m scared 
of cows. I don’t like them and they don’t like me. Just in case if you wonder, the toilets are 
very clean over there. They even had a soap. No tissues, but should be prepared in Thailand. 
Always have tissues with you ladies. Oh, I’m so hungry. Perfect breakfast. Cowo and muing. 
Could eat cow and muing for breakfast every day. It’s good. Oh yeah. I like it. They put something extra here like 
a pepper. Oh, you know that the pepper we had in naan. Oh, yeah. It’s a 
different kind of pepper. M. Oh, good. These are 10 B each and rice was five. 
10. Oh, 10 as well. 85 B for that. Yum. Cute dog. We fed ourselves. We fed the local dogs as well. Now it’s time to

been good. Just was hungry. Yeah, hungry. Smell of that fresh air. Pine trees. Amazing. Cold mountain air. Loving it. Loving life 
right now, guys. 26°. 26°. Woohoo. That was pretty cold, believe 
it or not. It’s freezing. How long we got left, Danny? Uh, we got 
another 25 km to get to the center of five. Cool. We always think let’s go to the beach. 
Beach. Let’s go get away. Hey. Hey. But what are we going to sing in the mountains? Country 
roads. Take me home to the place where I belong. Sweet Virginia Country mama, take me home country 
roads. I need to see move around my face really. The difference. What’s over there? Sound. The sound of music. The hills are 
alive with the sound of music. I know Polish mountain songs. Would you like me or would you like me to sing 
you a Polish mountain song? Hey, let’s go. So, this is what happens 
when the camera is normally off. So, we’ve actually just gone over the war memorial 
bridge. We may show this later in another video, but nice to see. We nearly made it to Kai. 
What’s the plan for the rest of the day? Going to check in a hotel. Yeah. Show you our 
little hotel. And I think we’re going to go check out Walking Street today. So, yeah, there’s 
Walking Street we’re going to go check out. So, stay tuned. We’re going to go there and we’re 
going to show you. This is the first of the accommodation of this trip. Yes. Cuz we’re going 
to be staying in two different accommodations, but the other one is very special and we’re going 
to show you that in the next video. I’m looking forward to it. Yeah. Me, too. Okay. Quick drink 
and let’s go to pie. Almost there. Almost there. We are very tired now. Well, not tired, but 
the backachche. I’ve got a backache. A neck ache. I have neck ache from constantly turning 
and looking around and seeing where to go and all the twists and turns. So, my neck hurts 
a little bit. You know what I’m dreaming of? What? What are you dreaming of? Comfy seat 
and Leo with ice. Oh, yeah. Leo and ice. I think we’re just driving through the walking 
street now and our place is literally just two 2 minutes walk from the main walking street in 
Pi. Yes, we’re quite lucky with the location. Diggy did well. So, we don’t have to ride the 
bike everywhere cuz it seems like everything else is a bit spaced out when we’re driving in, 
but we shall find out. Yeah, accommodation was very affordable here. So, I’m going to show you 
where we staying and how much it cost in a second. Oh, 23 house, isn’t it? Danny always finds best parking spaces. All 
right, let’s go check in. Leave the staff and let’s go and get some food and that Leo. Oh 
my god. Oh, this was a journey and a half. So, we are staying in boutique house 23 
boutique house. Let’s go and check out the room. Our room is number six. It looks really 
nice. Beautiful tropical flowers around us. The room is really nice. It’s spacious. It is 
clean, but decorated really, really nicely. What you think? Yeah, this is actually a really 
nice place. I like it. It’s kind of like Balanese style. It’s very simple, white wood. And the 
other rooms look really nice as well. There’s bigger ones than our one we have. Yeah. But no, 
I’m really impressed. This was the cheapest room uh in here. This is how much we paid as well. Link 
in description if you want to book it. Uh so far, very good. Air con is working well as well. 
Comfy bed. So yeah, we are ready to go grab that beer and explore pie walking street center 
of town. Yeah. Yeah. I need to wash my face. We’re covered in dust. Look at you. So, we picked 
perfect location for this place. Uh, we highly recommend this place for you. Really good location 
in the middle of everything in Pi in Pi Town. Is super affordable as well and very clean. So, now 
is probably bit of the video everyone was waiting for. We are heading to Pi Walking Street and cut 
to me. Right. Basically, what I’ve read online, just to save you looking, uh, Pike Walking Street 
is kind of there’s a lot of bars and there’s a lot of restaurants. And what I’ve seen is it kind of 
come alive around 6:00 p.m. Some of the bars open around 5, but there’s also a market here as well, 
I think. So, they’re kind of in the same area. So, let’s go and check it out. See what’s here. 
Maybe grab a beer. Grab a beer and some food, maybe. Let’s go and see. And people watching. 
Yes. I think this is going to be very good spot for people watching. Yes. Why I also like 
the place where we staying because it’s on very quiet road next to the walking street. 
So very close to Hassu and Basu, but we’re going to be sleep in a peace. So we’re going to 
have a really good night’s sleep, Danny, today, aren’t we? We’re so tired after the bike ride. Oh 
god. All right. Also, I don’t think you can see in the video. I have a big red mark on my head. 
It’s my own fault. The helmet’s too small. Well, you didn’t say anything. Mine’s perfect and brand 
new. You want to go? Which way you want to go? This must be the company that takes everyone. 
These are on the road. These must be the company that takes you on the vans cuz I’ve seen these 
all the way when we were traveling here. This is a company I think you can book to get to here from 
Chiang Mai, I think. Yeah. And bus station is just over there. Everything’s really close. From what 
we saw already, Pi Town Center looks very, very walkable. Not necessarily around the Pi, but town 
center does. Yeah, the town center. Everything is pushed in close together. Look, this is that top 
I was telling you about. It looks nice. Yeah. So, there’s not many people out and about 
yet. Although, it kind of looked busy because I thought it’s low season, so it’s going to be 
quite quiet. Your time now is 5. Half past 5. But I think we’re just going to sit down, have 
a beer, maybe a snack, and then walk around and get some proper food. Yeah, I think wait till it 
gets a bit more low. Homemade ice cream, mango, and vegan. Your favorite. No. Uh, I mentioned 
vegan because there is a lot of vegan shops here and like um vegetarian. Vegetarian. But 
do you know what? I was searching on Google before we came here. Some authentic Thai 
food here in Pai in Pinetown. Not money, not much. So, I don’t know what we’re going 
to have today. One of the bars. Why not? Another bar. This is like a bar street 
kind of walking street. Well, I thought this is going to be more like a sleepy little 
town, but it seems to be actually quite busy, isn’t it? Yeah. I think it’s only just starting 
to come to life now. So during the day it’s quite sleepy and in the evening everything 
kind of wakes up. So we’ll see in a bit. This looks like it’s going to be busy later. What did you say? Lasagna. The thing is right 
if you are a foreigner and you’re not too keen on Thai food, I don’t know why you wouldn’t 
be. There’s also so much foreign food here. you everything from kebabs, lasagna, New York 
style pizza, burgers. Not that I’m promoting this stuff. I’d rather eat Thai, but the option 
is there if you do want it. I think we found our spot. Have a good day. Think we’ve found 
our spot for for Leo in a corner here. Comfy seat and people watching. We sat down here to 
do people watching. There’s no people. I love this coffee shop here. is so cute and little 
corner one. We might have to go and grab a morning coffee here. What’s the name of it? I 
don’t know. Time time cafe and bistro. But our place comes with breakfast. Our hotel comes with 
breakfast and looks pretty good. This is like um look like really nice old style 
Thai drinks. Bye-bye later. Yeah. Care. I was going to do Sun is very hot, so we’re probably going to sit 
here with the shade. But you can see how busy this place must be for the sunset. Danny, look at how 
many seating is around here. It’s cool seating, though. And it’s a really nice view, so I see 
why people do come here. There is other options along this road if you want to, but we wanted 
to see this one. Yeah, just show you. Yeah. So, yet yesterday we didn’t have much luck with the 
weather. We got caught in the rain in Thai town and that’s where we just spend the rest of the 
day, rest of the evening. We grabbed some amazing barbecue chicken. Make sure you check that place 
out. It’s literally in the middle of the pine pie what is it called? Walking street. Walking 
street. Yes. Uh we just basically sat down and people watch drunk beer to the for the rest of the 
night. But uh we are moving to a new destination just outside Pi new accommodation which is going 
to be amazing. So make sure you check out the next video and next video is going to be a little bit
