Atami, Fukushima (福島県熱海町) – Auberge Suzukane (オーベルジュ鈴鐘) Kinu (貴賓室 絹) room tour

we are in Fukushima Prefixure in um Atami area Atami Machi not to be confused with the Atami that’s near uh Tokyo a resort area um this is in Fukushima and this is u a Japanese dioana in called Ober’s Suzukane and uh we’re here for the night it’s a seven room luxury property and we’re staying here at the end this room is called Kihinu Kinu it’s a Kihinu I guess is the equivalent of a VIP room uh it’s the highest category of the seven rooms um it was just renovated less than a year ago and modernized uh the other it’s a little bit more spacious it actually has two bedrooms and then uh it also has the only one with the uh open air uh on the hot springs bath whereas the other rooms have uh hot springs but only indoor baths so there’s uh differences there you can see how very smart and modern it is there’s kind of cool little uh decorations a Burj Suzukane branded cow um this is nearby Isizu Wakamatu um it’s um one of its iconic uh creatures is a red cow um long story i won’t go into details there anyways this is the main living area again western style wooden floors heated um that you could adjust very nice and then uh you got a little patio over here and then the TV and you can see here a river down below this is green season it’s post cherry blossom and so you have the living area here you have the mini bar water dispenser microwave sink and then uh you can see from over here this is the the secondary bedroom or sleeping area there’s two beds this is if you have more than one group of people and this is a closet where you can store all your stuff which we’ve already done in here you can see they have a yukata and samu which are Japanese robes for lounging around and um so you can see again another angle at the living room okay so we have the Let’s go to the main bedroom i guess I I guess it’s the main one yeah here we go so uh while we see this layout oh and then oh I don’t think this this leads to anything anyway so anyway so this is um Atami Bandai Atami it’s near Bandai National Park a lot of things to do there’s the Gosh Kunuma ponds marshlands there’s uh summer activities are skiing um all number of things lake Inawashiro Aizu Wakamatu a historic city lots to do there there’s also Aizu Wakamatu Castle which is uh absolutely gorgeous and so this is the wash basin so this is about our fourth visit to the area the took Fukushima Yamagata southern to tohoku and we never tire of it and we experience something new all the time so So this uh this room slightly it has two bedrooms slightly more um spacious you have um indoor onsen outdoor onsen it’s a modest size but um and then this is the shower area and um the other thing that they have here you open this up is a gamb it’s like a a sauna but it’s it’s a lava rock uh sauna a distinctly Japanese thing so you can lay down there or you can sit here so a lot of steam coming out of there so let’s let’s take a So this this onsen it’s Bandai Atami onen is the name of the hot springs the the the the spring water they actually get um which is supposedly um good for the skin although most onsen places say that about their onsen but supposedly this is a good one and it’s free flowing never recirculated they call it Gensen Kakagashi in Japanese so not much of a yard you can see just uh just kind of left nature to its uh devices you can see here kind of a tight squeeze for two but it is a real onsen so uh oberish as as as it the name suggests is an oberish property it’s a it’s more Japanese than a lot of other oberish kind of fusion European inspired u cuisine but uh that’s from what I gather from comments from other people who stayed here but uh we’ll find out how how that is so seven rooms um uh this is the highest category 1 kinu the VIP room at Oberish Suzukane hope you enjoyed
