Hello! This is E-Ma. Thank you for watching as always (´ー`). We are about to depart from “Michi-no-Eki Higashimatsushima”. This is the second part of the second day of our 3-night, 4-day trip to Miyagi. We are heading to Ishinomaki, where we are staying. When I think of Ishinomaki, I always think of the Great East Japan Earthquake that occurred on March 11, 2011. I decided to go to a park built on the site that was severely damaged by the earthquake. If you don’t know about that earthquake, you might think it’s a large, beautiful park that has been well-maintained. Ishinomaki City is a municipality where about 4,000 people were killed. Among them, this place, which is now a park, Minamihama district, was damaged by earthquakes, tsunamis, fires, and subsidence. More than 500 people died. This park was built as a place of memorial and repose for those who lost their lives in the Great East Japan Earthquake. It is also intended to convey the memories and lessons of the earthquake to future generations. The sound of this bell resonated in my heart and tears overflowed (:_;). Within the park, there are the Miyagi Great East Japan Earthquake and Tsunami Memorial Hall and the Great East Japan Earthquake Memorial Minamihama Tsunagukan, but on the day I visited, it was closed because it was a Monday. The cafe in front of the colorful flower bed was also closed (._.). Carp streamers fluttering in the wind. On a sign on the pole, the words “Tsunami inundation depth 6.9m” were written. It’s really scary to think that the tsunami was that high (>_<). There is one more place I want to see. However, this place is also closed on Mondays, so I decided to just look at the exterior. It is the only earthquake relic in the country that still shows the damage caused by the tsunami and fire. When I was researching this facility, I saw pictures of the inside, and even just the pictures made my heart ache. I've seen a lot of footage of the tsunami on TV and the Internet. I 've thought that it must be hard for the people in Tohoku, but... It didn't feel real, like a scene from a movie. To be honest, I may have thought that it was something that didn't happen to me. There is the elementary school, the new roads and houses, and many gravestones in the surrounding area. The atmosphere of this place made me feel ashamed of myself for thinking that this was something that didn't happen to me. This is not something that only happens to other people, but it could happen to us. I once again reflected on the fact that I need to be more aware of disaster prevention. I feel like the people of Ishinomaki have taught me things that I hadn't noticed before. Thank you. I walked up a steep slope to Hiyoriyama Park behind the elementary school. Hiyoriyama Park, located on high ground, was an evacuation site in the event of a disaster. Many people ran desperately up this steep slope. It is said that there was once a castle called Ishinomaki Castle on Hiyoriyama, which is about 56 meters above sea level. Matsuo Basho also visited here, and there was a monument to "Oku no Hosomichi" at the bottom of the stairs. There are people who could only watch their town being swallowed up by the tsunami here. The more I imagine it, the more I feel fear, pain, and sadness. A cat appeared when my heart was heavy and it healed me (´ー`). I feel a little better now (´-`*). I prayed that such a disaster would never happen again. Then, we headed to the hotel where we would be staying for the night. It was a soothing hotel that was perfect for us (*'▽'). This is "Tama Hotel" (*'▽') run by the sales manager's cat "Kato Tama (Tamabucho)". The owners are just supporting Tamabucho (´艸`*). After checking in, the owner's tour of the hotel will begin (you can also choose not to have a tour of the hotel). This is a room where you can play with the cats freely during your stay (*'▽'). The gray cat on the left is "Tamabucho", the owner. Thank you for your help! (´ー`). Next, we headed to the building across the street. There was also a bicycle that we could use for free. What a surprise! Wine was all you could drink. There was also a wide variety of bath salts, shampoos, and conditioners. For cat lovers, there was a cat hug service (*'▽'). It was too cute~♡. A treat for being a good boy (´艸`*). At the end, you can get a cat badge as a special gift on the tour of the building (*'▽'). The owner's tour of the building ends here. Here, you change into slippers to go to your room. Room 206. Let's go in. Even the bedspread has cat-themed designs (´ー`). There is an alcohol bar exclusive to Room 206. There is even an ice machine (゚д゚)! . There is a foot bath (゚д゚)! . The window only opens a little. There are basic amenities such as toothbrushes. Now it's time to enjoy cat time (*'▽'). I saw the introduction photos but I can't remember the names (^_^;). "Cinnamon". "Kiwi"? . "Marron". "Apricot". "Tamabucho". "Suri". "Marble". "Noir". When it's time for food, everyone gathers together! We help feed the cats (´ー`). After the meal, I had water from the tap (´ー`). I wanted to drink it but it didn't reach me (´艸`*). I lost track of time and ended up playing with the cats (^▽^;). Let's go and have dinner (´ー`). We came to eat Ishinomaki's B-class gourmet "Ishinomaki Yakisoba". Ishinomaki Yakisoba is 800 yen. Ishinomaki Yakisoba is characterized by its brown noodles, which are steamed with seafood stock. If you eat it as is, you can taste the stock, but the saltiness is light, so I added the sauce that comes with it after eating it. The texture is different from regular sauce yakisoba, but it was delicious (´ー`). I'm full, so I washed my face... I'm going to sleep (-_-)zzz. Next time, it will be the first part of the third day of my 3-night, 4-day trip to Miyagi. I hope this video will be of some help to you. If you like it, please click the good button and subscribe to the channel! I'm also looking forward to your opinions and comments (´ー`). Thank you for watching until the end. Please look forward to the next one~(^_^)/~
