Found out there was no bus only after arriving at the stop [Already expecting a chaotic start] Arrived at the airport Wow, it’s been a while since I’ve seen an airport this empty Oh, and guys! If you use Smart Pass, you can move quickly to the boarding area!
Make sure to register in advance using the Incheon Airport app 🙂 Right after getting past the boarding area, I came to the bookstore for my SIM card I applied for unlimited data at the airport SIM center.
It cost 19,000 won per person for 7 days! Airport pickup is available from 7am,
so I recommend picking it up in the boarding area if you have an early flight! (I want to fly Korean Air every day)
Terminal 2 is never crowded, and I love that…♥ So today’s destination is!!!!!!!!!!! Sapporo After passing by this local celebrity at New Chitose Airport,
you’ll see the way to JR trains! Just walk straight ahead after facing Doraemon right at the exit! (Even someone with no sense of direction like me arrived without a single mistake!!!!!!) – Follow the signs down and you’ll find the information desk If you purchased the Hokkaido Rail Pass, exchange it here You need to fill out a form with your pass details in advance to exchange it Required: Passport + Purchase voucher + the form you filled earlier (Quick explanation) – Go straight to the gate and then to the right (?) (My Japanese was awful but the staff spoke Korean so well I was shocked lol) (And their English was really good too) Before getting on the train, stopped by Lawson for snacks Convenience store food is so good here it makes it hard to choose… Grabbed a sandwich and a drink and headed for the train Since I’m going to Otaru and Biei, I got the 4-day Furano Area Pass! Subways in Japan used to be really confusing,
but now they announce the destination, so it’s much easier 🙂 Wow, Japan really improved? (I’m obsessed)
Tried this flat-tasting Milkis-style drink that was highly recommended (How to describe this vibe…)
Like taking the Bundang line to Seoul Forest? If you’re going to Otaru, sit on the right side to enjoy ocean views The other side just shows mountains, so keep that in mind!!! Since it’s summer, I even got a glimpse of Japanese people swimming 🙂 After dropping off my bag, I realized I got off at the wrong station—Otaruchikko ^^^^^ Sigh… this is my life… I swore I wouldn’t take a taxi because it’s too expensive,
but I ended up taking one to Otaru Station 😭😭😭😭😭 (This is crazy..)
Why is there a camera sensor on the rearview mirror? Otaru Headed straight to a restaurant I had bookmarked It’s in Japanese, so I couldn’t read the sign at all ^^ – close ..? [Couldn’t believe it, so walked around again] Please update your Google Maps, owner ..^^ Sigh… my life… – Otaru Sushiko! – Wait… why is the place so dark? [Closed again] Sigh [Ended up at a place not in my plans] Still, happy to find somewhere open…
I spotted a Kaisen-don place and went right in 🙂 Most places near Otaru Station close after 2:30pm,
so I was lucky to find this one ㅠㅠ – Sushi is sold out ㅠㅠ Ugh I really wanted sushi ㅠ_ㅠ Still, I confidently ordered the Yubari melon I really wanted! But it never came, so I ended up getting a refund… heh… Almost 50,000 won for this meal I was too hungry and didn’t check, ended up ordering something expensive lol [Also ordered the Sapporo Classic you can only get in Sapporo] – It tasted kind of bland… [But since it was hot, it still tasted good~] (Visual bomb)
The sea urchin Kaisen-don is here!!!!!!! Not lying, it was so good I kept eating nonstop I hadn’t planned to eat here, but the surprise meal turned out to be amazing..♥ (Info on the place..!)
It’s called “Sanuroko,” with a fish market on the first floor and a restaurant on the second You won’t find it in Korean search, so screenshot and search by image 🙂 Otaru Canal (It freezes in winter)
If you visit in summer, you can enjoy the flowing canal It cost around 18,000 won,
but I preferred walking so I didn’t ride the boat hehe There were lots of street musicians and many tourists! [Found a super popular photo spot] – Oh! That’s Otaru Beer!!! Lucky find lol They said it’s only sold in Otaru, so I tried it right away There were two types, and I picked the vanilla-flavored one! (Disappointed)
Can’t believe how bad it tasted… Sakaimachi Street Otaru is known for its glass and music boxes,
and you can constantly hear cute sounds while walking by It was crowded because it’s a tourist area,
but the charming streets made for such a lovely atmosphere!!! So many souvenir shops since it’s a tourist hotspot Packed with things I’ve never seen before I’m not really into desserts but since it’s a famous place, I went in They even let you try samples of their most popular products [Heaven for dessert lovers] Honestly, the main reason I came to Otaru
was because they sell a wine that’s only available here! It’s uniquely sold in a glass outlet, so I visited [Basically, this shop didn’t have it] The staff said it was 1 minute away, so I went to the wine shop next door
but found out later that it wasn’t the right place ㅠㅠ [Still curious what kind of wine Japan sells, so I went in] – Only in Hokkaido! They even let me try a sample! It was exactly what I was looking for!!!!! – 8.5% alcohol It was super sweet like green grape juice,
and the alcohol level felt somewhere between sweet wine and white wine My happiest purchase in Sapporo = alcohol I stepped into a dessert shop called “Kitakaro” This place is insanely popular, just like LeTAO! [Can’t resist whenever I see Yubari melon] I ended up buying it, haha [Turns out this was the real glass outlet liquor store] Most of the alcohol here seemed to be Japan-exclusive I wanted to buy them all, but the 2-bottle limit per person stood in my way… You can also do tastings and buy glasses—very satisfying Passed by a steam-blowing clock tower that goes off every 15 minutes Music Box Hall Everything was sparkling the moment I walked in [Fell in love with one as soon as I arrived] I really wanted it but the price was insane ^^; If it’s even slightly pretty, it easily goes over 10,000 yen ^^;;; The basic ones usually cost between 3,000 to 5,000 yen I thought it was just one floor, but there are three…!! Filled with beautiful sounds everywhere… truly the best ㅠ_ㅠ I wanted this one too,
but it was around 5,000 yen so I gently put it back ^^.. There’s pretty much everything to see on Sakaimachi Street,
so just walk down one side and return the other way from the Music Box Hall to finish your tour! – If you want to buy green grape wine, go to the place labeled “Outlet” If you’re walking from Otaru Station, it’s the second place that looks the same [Came to see a dried seafood shop but couldn’t read Japanese] Secretly eavesdropping on the people next to me, lol Finally came to explore Sankaku Market Thankfully found it right away They were selling fresh seafood too, and the size was shocking… I originally planned to go inside the market,
but the long wait made me glad I didn’t Stopped by a side dish shop at Otaru Station before my train The owner saw I liked it and gave me one of everything (lol) (The kindness of Japanese people never ends) On the way back too, I sat on the seaside side again Sapporo Station (Felt super Japanese~)
Came to Stellar Place, which is connected to the station – This is the 1st floor information desk between Daimaru Department Store and Stellar Place – Show your passport and they’ll give you coupons for use in Stellar Place! – You’ll get several coupons that give 100 yen off every 2,000 yen (Pro tip)
Don’t forget to grab them before shopping!!!! Came to ABC Mart on the 5th floor of Stellar Place
because I heard they have more Nike options than Korea Also stopped by Stussy, but there was absolutely nothing to buy ㅠㅠㅠ The famous Disney Store everyone visits! It’s on the 5th floor, but I didn’t go inside Right next door is the Snoopy Store, haha Came outside Sapporo Station – (Center) Stellar Place! – (Left) Daimaru Department Store So basically, if you’re shopping, everything’s around Sapporo Station! I was so tired, I decided to take a taxi to the hotel… haha Granbell Susukino Koreans gave it great reviews, so I chose it without hesitation Great value and excellent location near the station! Checked in quickly,
grabbed some amenities from the first floor,
and settled into the room – Oh! I can see the Sapporo TV Tower from here! (Arigato)
It was late at night but they still gave me a high-floor room – Heading out now for the beer festival! (Everything was just so good) (A bit scary..)
At the beer festival, lots of people were dancing like this… Apparently, Sapporo hosts a beer festival at Odori Park every summer It’s a global event, so people from all over the world come
and the beer booths are separated by brand and type! But I couldn’t speak much Japanese, so ordering was a struggle ㅠㅠ I ordered wrong and ended up with a can of Horoyoi you can get at any convenience store (lol) Still, I hadn’t had it in a while and it tasted pretty good Sapporo in August had a cool breeze at night—so refreshing!!! The lemon sour in Korea is sweet,
but the local one here had almost no sweetness at all And I didn’t realize, but… This guy… really wanted to be in the video, it seems The people behind us were definitely Japanese
but seemed like extreme extroverts ^^;; First stop was my favorite—The Premium Malts booth But I recommend bringing your own snacks…
because honestly, what even was that taste? The Asahi booth had 3 times more people than Premium Malts Half & Half (lager + dark beer) Dark beer isn’t available in Korea, so I found it interesting (About 6,000 won)
– The green peas were 600 yen Bring your own snacks ^ Tried the dark beer too And the regular draft beer And I also had the Half & Half The Half & Half… was shockingly bad (Do people really drink this? Ew..) – I asked my friend if they knew Nika-san – They asked if I was an influencer ^^ …;; haha Daruma 7.4 – They said the wait wasn’t long, but even after 9 PM there was still a wait ㅠ As expected of a highly rated Google restaurant,
there was a huge line even late at night (When will I finally meet my meat..?) Still, got in after about a 30-minute wait 🙂 We thought it was our order, but it was someone else’s meat ㅠ They had three types: Jingisukan, premium meat, and tenderloin
We were full so only ordered 2 servings of premium meat They served kimchi and salted herring roe as side dishes Perfectly suited to Korean taste Drank so much at the beer fest and still drinking beer again As expected, grilled green onions go perfectly with lamb Honestly, it was so delicious… ♥ The main store is super popular, so we went to the branch—and it was totally satisfying I wonder how good the main store is,
but they probably use the same meat, so just go to the one with less wait 🙂 We saw a sushi place still open late and went in to grab some for a late-night snack They said sushi would take a while,
so we went to Don Quijote nearby We didn’t have much time, so bought just a little,
then came back the next day to really stock up The next morning, we had a tour,
so we stopped by a convenience store to buy light snacks (Chose it not knowing what it was, just looked tasty) Dragging my tired body back inside… But of course, I still ate my late-night snack (Turns out it was zero lol)
Saw this Japanese Kirin beer for the first time Sapporo TV Tower signaling the end of the day Watching Japanese news I don’t even understand Then scanning the text when I get curious lol And that’s how the first night in Sapporo ended… ♥ Day 2 Second day started with a tour – We came to Sapporo Station to head to Biei (Nervous)
– Less than 10 minutes until the train departs! (Packed snacks just in case)
Managed to board with 2 minutes to spare (Hope I got on the right train..?) The Furano Area Pass I bought didn’t allow seat reservations So I had to sit in the non-reserved section,
but there were plenty of seats so I just picked one ^^ (Skipped breakfast, so having a sandwich to tide me over) (Here’s the problem…)
Guys… to get to Biei, you have to transfer at Asahikawa… I fell asleep and missed the Biei train I absolutely needed to catch…… All the early trains from Asahikawa to Biei were gone,
so I had to take a taxi Told the driver I needed to arrive by 9:45,
and he drove like crazy What should’ve been free ended up costing 70,000 KRW ^^; The tour I signed up for was a half-day tour Since it was summer,
I was looking for a tour that visited Blue Pond and Shirahige Falls—and this one was a gem!! – You just take the bus in front of Biei Tourist Center – It’s a 3-hour tour I did a lot of research,
and if you’re touring in summer, I really recommend this one! The tour schedule changes every year,
so it’s best to check the official website 🙂 It’s the perfect summer tour—highly recommended!!!!!! They take you to Shirahige Falls, Blue Pond, Shikisai Hill, and Shinei Hill Observation Park—4 spots in total Unless it’s snowy season in Biei, This route without Biei itself is probably the best and most cost-effective in summer The only downside was that the whole tour was conducted in Japanese ㅠㅠㅠ But aside from that, the route was amazing haha When you search for Biei tours, most of them are full-day tours This is perfect for people with a short itinerary or those like me who just want to see a few highlights! ~ Shirahige Waterfall ~ – In winter, the waterfall completely freezesnand looks like a white beard, hence the name (The color of the waterfall is just insane) They say the blue color is due to limestone from volcanic eruptions, nso apparently, fish can’t live in it!!! Whatever the reason, it’s just so beautiful ~ Blue Pond ~ Of all days, it just had to rain… ㅠ_ㅠ This was the whole reason I booked the Biei tour, nand now it’s raining and gloomy… – Why you visit Biei in summer – In winter, the pond freezes, so there’s nothing to see [Still managed to get some decent shots despite the rain] They were selling Blue Pond ice cream, nso I tried it—it was 500 yen per scoop… whoa – It’s soda-flavored! – Tastes good, but it’s 5,000 won (So expensive) – This ticket is included in the tour It’s for Shikisai Hill, but the price changes depending on the season ~ Shikisai Hill ~ The Yubari melon I was craving was right at the entrance…!!!!!!!!!!! Also called the Hill of Four Seasons.nI visited in mid-August so there were no lavender fields ㅠㅠ And since it was raining, nwe rented a 4-person tractor.nIt was super pricey—2,200 yen for 45 minutes ㅠㅠ Oh, and you don’t need an international license—na Korean driver’s license is enough 🙂 (Shaking like crazy) Wish the road had been paved ^^ From afar it’s a comedy, but when riding it, it’s a tragedy Got myself another Yubari melon, of course (The taste was so moving) – So sweet ♥ ~ Shinei Hill Observation Park ~ – Maybe people take photos here because the view is pretty? (Not really sure why it’s a tourist spot) – It’s just a field view… And that wraps up our 3-hour tour 🙂 I loved how I got to go exactly where I wanted—so efficient ♥ Had some time before the train, so we stopped by a nearby restaurant – Just walked in, but it seems pretty famous Apparently it was on Korean TV..! We didn’t have much time, nso we ordered soba and udon for a quick meal (So good I widened my eyes in surprise) Didn’t look like much—worse than rest stop udon, nbut the taste was Michelin-worthy… (Okay only the cold udon was Michelin-level lol) I was starving so I devoured it 5 minutes to come out, 3 minutes to eat — then rushing to catch the train lol Phew, love-hate Biei… and this was when my camera broke too… sob – The train from Biei to Asahikawa only has one car lol – (Feels like a bus) You can even see the driver lol Seems like most people visit Biei through tours, nso there weren’t many people on the train Thanks to that, I had a peaceful ride enjoying the scenery ♥ – From Asahikawa Station, this time I took the proper train back to Sapporo Can’t believe I paid 70,000 won for this ride by taxi before… (shudder) (Felt like a department store basement?)nStumbled upon a basement food section – The snacks at the beer fest yesterday were awful, nso I bought some here to enjoy with beer instead Off to Stella Place! You all know LUSH is cheaper in Japan, right!? ㅎㅎ – I think this is a Japan-only product (If possible, I want to buy things only sold in Japan) (Since it’s a gift, I carefully sniffed everything lol) Purchase complete… like this!!! ♥︎ – For dinner, we came to Suage Plus for soup curry (For soup curry)n- This is one of the two most famous places – I wanted to try Garaku too, but we decided to come here first and try Garaku tomorrow if it’s good As expected, a long wait Checked the menu while waiting But it was all in Japanese, nso I tried guessing from the pictures… I think we waited about 40 minutes before getting in Can’t skip Sapporo Classic draft beer ♥ I ordered their signature:nchicken curry + Suage soup + spiciness level 5 + less rice + added broccoli! Honestly, it said “Very Spicy” at level 5,nso I was a little worried (But we’re Korean)nHonestly, it wasn’t spicy at all guys ^^ And everyone says to add broccoli, nand yes—that is absolutely correct…! (I usually never eat broccoli so trust me on this ♥) Since I don’t eat a lot normally,nI ordered a small portion of rice and it was perfectnbut guys might want to get a large size!!! (Even the carrots were delicious) This must be some kind of food scam.. it’s too good (My friend’s dish)n- Is there something wrong with the soup? (Spiciness level 7 soup color) – Looks like moss? lol Anyway, since we’re flying out the next day, we didn’t get to visit more placesnbut now I understand why people line up here despite the crazy waits ^^! Sapporo food trip — eat and eat again Came to this place called Yokocho Ramen Alley It’s a short alley lined with ramen shops
but the famous ones were too crowded, so I gave up… – Let’s try this one! They say you must try miso ramen in Sapporo—so I picked it right away! Filming wasn’t allowed, so I only filmed the foodn—but the chef was really meticulous and kind..!! How will it taste…? The rich broth gets pretty high marks…! But the noodles… well, just so-so. Hope the shop does well though… Maybe it’s because I was already full, nbut it didn’t feel especially delicious ㅠㅠ But the cozy alley vibe was honestly the best. Went back to the hotel for a bit to freshen up,nnext thing I know it’s already 7pm. Took a shower and totally forgot how tired I was, right?ㅎ Time to hit the beer festival again But of course, I got distracted and went off route… hahaha As expected from a multi-brand shop, nthings were pretty pricey Still, for people who want rare finds, this place is perfect — my honest review! Phew, Gassahi is still so popular – This time, I’m trying a new one: Kirin Ichiban! (Respect)
Even in the rain, people with umbrellas were enjoying the fest — love it lol Found my destiny……….♥ (Bought it instantly) (Eel rice bowl and yakisoba I bought at the basement food section) The group next to us totally outclassed my drink game… Now that I look back, I was kinda jealous of their table… For me personally, Kirin Ichiban was a total win ♥ My style! – Sapporo Beer Garden I thought Yebisu was its own company, nbut turns out it’s a Sapporo brand! Apparently it’s the premium beer line of the Sapporo Brewing Company!! – I ordered the Yebisu dark beer to try I go crazy for stuff you can’t find in Korea Wow, even on the last day of the festival, neveryone’s still so hyped? This was my first time at an international beer festival, nand it was seriously amazing >_< Saw an oyster bar while walking by, so I went in (No English here either)
- I must’ve really walked into a local bar… - Huh? SALT MODERATE? - Didn’t I see this place yesterday? Turns out I was already drawn to this place by its unique look the day before…!!! (Sounded kinda like a curse…)
- Is that “Amagata”? (Definitely a curse)
- Is that “Nigata”? All Japanese sake sounds like curse words to me ^^;; (Sensing the size) - It’s fishy Honestly had high expectations... But it was really fishy... (Ended up asking for Tabasco) - I thought it would come on top of the oyster, but it came separately… huh Another encounter with the language barrier But it was real abalone, so it still tasted good :) I just went in without checking Google reviews because I was drawn in Next time, I’ll at least check the reviews first ^^;; Liquor Express Dropped by a liquor store! - I really want to buy a Hendrick’s gin, even just a small one These days, it costs nearly 60,000 won in Korea They had a wide selection of Hibiki and Yamazaki—super popular with Korean tourists :) - Dassai costs around 100,000 won in Korea, but I got it here for about 30,000! (This is the kind of item you should stock up on!)
Not many people seem to know, but it’s actually really easy to find now! Didn’t have time to visit MUJI,
but thankfully found a few of their items in the convenience store... (not many though) This has nothing to do with the video,
but please try the crème brûlée ice cream at 7-Eleven… they say it’s amazing ㅠ_ㅠ I chose the monaka ice cream
and it was even softer and tastier than what we have back home I fell asleep just like that… Woke up and it was morning Heading to Nijo Market near our place for breakfast :) We went to a place called Oiso,
but even at 8am the wait was way too long so we gave up ㅠㅠ (Can’t read it) So we picked a place on the same strip with no wait instead I was craving kaisendon anyway—what a lucky break ♥ (Highly recommend if you want to try a bit of everything!)
They had a sampler-style menu with lots of variety! And I saw a drink called “Guarana,” so I tried it - Why are they suddenly selling this...? That’s the review I’ll leave… haha (Funny explanation though) - Snow crab kaisendon - This is called Hokke - I have no idea what fish it is [Still don’t know] They gave a generous amount of fish, and the rice portion was perfect. I really enjoyed it!! (Energy drained) - (But still) Time for the last shopping spree Mega Don Quijote Above all, the alcohol selection was diverse and cheaper than other places :) - Hokkaido Chu-Hi Before checking out, one last drink with the Sapporo TV Tower as my snack...♥ Oh, and the pudding I bought at the convenience store on day one was SO good…!!!!!!
If I had known, I would've eaten it all three days ㅠ_ㅠ I had too much luggage, so I called a taxi to Sapporo Station After lots of shopping, I’m heading to the airport (Got my money’s worth in 3 days)
If you're going for sightseeing, I definitely recommend the Hokkaido Pass :) Did a quick sweep of the duty-free shop with my leftover yen (This was the real goal, actually)
They say Sapporo Classic is only sold in Sapporo—of course I had to buy it, right? Hehe A hearty last meal 8 skewers and a highball cost me 5,000 yen ^^; I drank mostly beer during the trip, so I wrapped it up with a highball haha I bought corn but didn’t eat it, so I brought it to the airport
Sapporo corn really is famous... ♥ And that’s the end of my Sapporo Beer Festival trip!!! They say it’s starting again this week!
Don’t miss out—come enjoy Sapporo’s summer beer festival ♥ I hope my video helps you enjoy it to the fullest..!! ♥ Thanks so much for watching ♥

Hello everyone!!!! 🙂
Did you know that a world-famous beer festival is held in Sapporo starting this Friday?
I visited last year and had an amazing time — I was basically tipsy the whole trip! 😂
Not only can you try Sapporo Classic, but also Asahi, Premium Malts, Kirin Ichiban, and tons of international beers as well.
The festival is held every summer in Sapporo’s Odori Park, and people from all over Japan, as well as many Western and Asian tourists, come to enjoy it.
There were so many beers you can’t find in Korea, and the variety of snacks made the experience even more fun!
One tip: the food sold inside is expensive and honestly not great… If possible, I recommend buying snacks from nearby stores and bringing them with you 🙂
And of course, you can’t just enjoy the beer festival and leave!
While Biei is famous for its snow tours in the winter, in the summer it’s all about the scenic photo spots — the “lone tree” might not be as impressive without snow, but there are many other stunning places to visit.
If you’re curious about the summer Hokkaido tour I personally explored and loved, check out the full video!
Most people think of Sapporo as a winter destination, but I want to show you how charming it is in summer too.
It’s cooler than Korea and there’s so much to see — I highly recommend it again through this throwback video!
If you have any questions, feel free to leave a comment and I’ll gladly answer them ♥
Thank you for watching !!
This summer has been extremely hot, so take care and watch out for food poisoning, which is spreading these days! Bye bye ♥
