We chose a site called West-2 Because the tent we brought was a horizontal type, we chose a wide site The tent is an Ortus S, which is comfortable even in the rain It started to rain lightly just as we were setting up the tent As we set up the tent, the rain started to fall harder We put on our rain jackets and carried our gear in After setting up our gear, we decided to go for lunch We arrived at the roadside station It was just after 11 o’clock, and we decided to eat at the roadside station restaurant, which was sparsely populated because of the rain I looked it up and it looks like there will be some really big rain clouds coming in And it looks like there will be thunder too My husband had pork cutlet curry and beer I had pot-au-feu and sweetfish rice, which was delicious After shopping and going outside, we heard thunder in the distance If we go back to the campsite, we’ll be caught in heavy rain Finally, there will be a convenience store in Doshi Village (It wasn’t open at the time, but it’s already open) Next time I’m in Doshi Village, I’ll stop by I got a discount coupon at the campsite, so I decided to relax in the hot springs Thunder is approaching Let’s spend the heavy rain in the hot springs Relaxing after the bath My husband is taking a nap After 2pm, we couldn’t hear the thunder anymore, so we decided to go back to the campsite The drainage seems to be a little poor at the West-2 site The condition of the ground is pretty bad We’re going to finish setting up the gear that we were only halfway through We clipped it down to stop it falling off the ground If you clip it down in just two places diagonally, it will be less likely to fall off We’ve also finished predicting the results of the Saturday horse races, a secret pleasure for us as a couple We bought some okara donuts at the roadside station We’ve become fans of okara donuts ever since we tried them last time The Saturday horse races are about to start, so please bear with us for a little while It is a 1200m race held at Kyoto Racecourse! I’m betting on a trifecta. All the horses we were looking at started from the back of the pack. This one looks very difficult. Did not hit the target. Next time, we’ll get it right! Light, moist and fluffy The rain has stopped The firewood is wet from the rain and I’m worried it won’t catch fire We bought a firewood chopping block at Doshi Roadside Station (660 yen) The one on the left is the one I had been using, and the one on the right is the one I just bought It’s very light and has a grip that makes it easy to hold We’re very happy with this cheap firewood chopping block with a unique shape The fire is about to go out so we quickly make feather sticks I wonder if it’s worth it? Tonight’s dinner is sukiyaki, a hometown tax donation It’s still a little frozen Camping is a thing I decided to burn the wood splitting block I’ve been using I start preparing dinner When you think of Doshi Village, you think of watercress I seasoned it with olive oil and Horinishi First, I’ll try grilling just the meat Slightly seasoned with warishita The luxurious flavor of Hida beef Second photo Too delicious The watercress this time is a little spicy It’s done after a little simmering The sukiyaki is a hometown tax donation from “Iwatoya” The warishita that comes with it is so tasty that I keep coming back to it We had 400g of meat. In the past, we could finish it in one go for two people, but now it’s getting quite hard It was delicious, thank you for the meal After the meal, we had a relaxing bonfire Sunset, 6:53pm It’s getting colder The warmth of the bonfire is comfortable We brushed our teeth and got ready for bed before 9pm Today it’s cloudy, then sunny, with no rain The stream that flows through the campsite is called “Tsubakizawa” The stream flowed with force Plants and living things share the same water to live A morning to think about the obvious The toilet in the southern forest was close to our site Phew We dried the wet things and put away the things we weren’t using The morning light arrived The sunshine makes me happy One cup of jasmine rice For breakfast, I just need to heat it up I wait while drinking coffee The delicious aroma of jasmine rice fills the tent I thought I would have curry , so I made jasmine rice I had a spicy curry at home for my husband, so I brought that with me I was thinking of buying a local curry at the roadside station for myself However, most of the local curries were either spicy or medium spicy I don’t like spicy food, so I decided to have stewed chicken tripe The stewed chicken tripe was more luxurious, with more chunks of ingredients than I expected Let’s eat The sweet and spicy sauce is very tasty I was surprised that it was much tastier than I had imagined It had crunchy chicken offal and liver-like ingredients, as well as kumquats It had an authentic taste Thank you for the meal! The morning temperature was 17℃, a pleasant morning Brushing our teeth after dinner The same old routine, but it felt new We couldn’t see Tsubakizawa from this site We could hear the sounds clearly, so it felt like we were right in front of the stream After brushing our teeth, we started packing up There was a moth stuck to it like an emblem After relaxing for a bit, we started packing up the tent Camping is fun after all, and I’m excited thinking about the next camping trip We stopped off at a udon restaurant in Doshi Village called “Katei Dining NAGOMI-Wa-mi-” I had the usual meat udon, and my husband had meat udon with curry topping It was delicious♪ Well then!
