I Tried Japan’s Most RELAXING Experience (worth it) ๐Ÿ‡ฏ๐Ÿ‡ต

i actually can’t explain it you just like you’re in there huge endorphin rush and it’s just serenic like literally euphoric like I’m lightheaded lightheaded but I don’t know if it’s good or bad might die i don’t know good morning everybody ohio welcome back to the countryside of Japan not the greatest view mind you i can uh understand that right now first day of the lodge we’re going to go down it’s about 8:30 right now had a nice breakfast today got a record playing made some eggs some toast it’s quiet it’s very peaceful it’s pretty got some nice big bamboo trees here the forests are pretty similar to home for me this is like walking down a road in uh Canada for me this feels nice and uh just like home feels just like home so it’s a good temperature too i had like a heater on in the house today because in the morning it was a bit bit brisky maybe 14ยฐ 15 maybe 16ยฐ it wasn’t by any means like hot tie weather so I have like my thin jacket on but we’re we’re suited up we’re in pants i’m going to show you this lodge too it’s so gorgeous it’s like a getaway lodge so it’s really really nice spot but they have like a huge river that goes right along the outbank of it saunas nice little log cabins oh it’s so cool so we’ll check it out we’re in the middle of nowhere not many foreigners are out here I don’t believe show you what Lodge Kiokao is and you can come for yourself one day because it’s uh it’s gorgeous and if you’re coming to Japan come out here come out here it’s a very interesting place if you ever are in the Japanese countryside this is what it looks like a lot of farm fields rice wheat the usual just huge forest it’s really not what I expected out of Japan we’re in the middle of like a huge little valley little crevice of the forest a lot of farm fields beautiful little homes just popped up along the the road yeah just like similar to almost in the Philippines almost like a rice terrace that’s kind of what it looks like a little different but very similar i mean when you think back over a hundred years two three hundreds of years ago everybody farmed everything was you know done by yourself and this is kind of what you get even all over the world you assume they’re all kind of the same so it does look similar to the Philippines it’s really cool at the lodge will be helping with building stuff and setting up but also the lodge is being built to become a kind of a self-sufficient area I guess like he wants to build his own crops alex wants to build his own crops and produce and stuff like that so it’s kind of becoming its own self-sufficient area so hopefully we get a little taste of the the local Japanese countryside life and then we’ll also get to explore a couple days so yeah we’ll get around we’re coming over the river right now stoning absolutely stoning look at that first little taste tell me how gorgeous that is welcome to Lodge Kiokawa not so bad is it not so bad at all everybody that comes here you stay in the log cabin little private room whatever you choose you got a beautiful freshwater river here and you can jump in and you go swimming in the river and then you come out relax and sauna go rafting rent bikes do that so pretty and this is the uh the lodge nice little eating area out here this is one of the saunas and it’s in the shape of a shiakei mushroom which I think is pretty funny they built that recently and then these are one of the houses you got little ladders up and they’re little tiny rooms up there and then we have four people masado Yuki Alex and his fiance/wife Medina lodge staff restaurant here and then down there is more of a log cabins so log cabins single homes there’s a dorm room there’s a bit more over here of the little tepee houses and then this is a garbage area smoking area then down here is the river restaurant up there yeah you come down oh someone’s already fishing i see somebody i see a foreigner actually a white regular white dude like look at that not so bad at all absolutely stunning all right that was our little tour i’ll show you more throughout the day but Okay people little jump here this is going to be a weird one today just because we’re cutting around to all the stuff of the of the lodge so that was the lodge that’s our entry now we’re going to go check out the second side of the lodge which is farming farming here in Kyokawa so I’m in a beautiful safety approved North American checklisted more to transport and we’re going off to do to go look at how premium grapes in Kyokawa get made and I’ve been told they might be the most expensive grapes I’ve ever heard of because it costs about $40 to $50 US for like a regular little one cup of these grapes so we’re going to go see the grapes are made and then after we’re going to go to the final part which is the sauna called They’re called Shine Muscat yeah muscat grapes shine Muscat grapes yeah so they’re in bushels like this and yeah these That’s a grape that that will turn one of these will sprout into a grape sprout into like a bunch of grapes let’s see wow there’s tons of them hey beauties yeah and these are like kind of premium in Japan and they’re like on the on the like local like he’ll sell these for like 40 bucks but if you go in the city they’re like 80 bucks 100 bucks for like a bushel that you just saw canadian yeah yeah that’s insane i know but they’re treated with care when they get to a ripe age you like kind of put them in like plastic bags kind of thing and then you like really take care of them you like shine them up you know they look really nice they look beautiful grains they’re beautiful and they’re absolutely delicious damn you’ll give us some sometimes so we’re going to make this at our farm love it well he has kiwi uh kiwi tomato tomatoes here farm everywhere yeah farm oh then you you guys are just going And we’re going to live right over there the lodge farm is going to be right over there exactly sick oh and then he has another muscat uh over here beautiful just a common Japanese countryside lifestyle yeah pretty common farms and growing he He does a little bit more yeah it seems vast i’m too tall you ever seen an $80 grape i havei [Music] I understand so he’s taking all those out for all the nutrients to go to just the end there oh so you take out all the little baby ones like on the stems like they’re all going to turn into grapes but you just want all that delicious nutrients because they’re all along these stems to go into the end here wow so you break off what there’s like 12 15 in there yeah there’s a bunch there all to just go to this one holy moly grow some damn good grapes exactly the type of hormone that he sprays onto the uh onto what is this [Music] yeah so five weeks in spray seedless grapes damn will start to like curl upwards yeah so he wants it to kind of to disperse the nutrients so this kind of goes down nicely so it’s like a nice picking angle yeah if you pick too much then it’ll curl right up wow so it needs to be dispersed between these branches it’s his wife 300 bushels in one like like in that farming area that area he’s going to get 300 here he’s probably going to get 200 in all the So you could probably get like over a thousand but you’re going to trim it down like that each one to disperse the nutrients you leave a couple other things but you don’t want the thing to curl up and it’ll make a a bad grow in the end that’s insane yeah I know so it’s like so much little so many little things going into it so many little things going into it it’s it’s so crazy that’s the best grapes in the world apparently sick so yes down here is all the farm this is all the farmland of some of the locals and then down here is where uh the owners of the lodge are building two houses and going to have their farms which are going to be partly kind of integrated into the lodge they’re learning from the locals of how to farm and everywhere in Kyokawa in this area is just farmland you’ll we’ll explore the city more in the coming days but that’s the second part the last part we need to check out of the lodge is the sauna and it’s the number one attraction here it’s what people come here for for like a getaway it’s this euphoric feeling and we’re going to test it out tonight so I will tell you if it’s that good okay everybody the final stop of our first little exploration of Kiokawa and our lodge first of all gorgeous gorgeous but it is the sauna that we get to do right now again what a luxury I get to have while being here because look at that view first of all tell me if that’s not the most ceramic thing you’ve ever seen in your life but then three one of the main things people come here for is the sauna so there’s two there’s one the back which I showed you i think the shiakei one and then two down by the river here there’s a Russian style sauna and these ones are tent ones they get a lot hotter so you stay in them for less time so this one gets up to about 100 to 120ยฐ you stay for about 10 minutes and the process as I’m going to show you now is first get in the sauna then we’re going to run down jump in the beautiful river which is I’m just getting goosebumps looking at it right now not a nice bath by any means but it’s definitely cold and after the sauna it’s really nice cold freezing on the body and then three you come here and you lay down kick back and look at what isn’t that much of a blue uh sky today but what can you do you can’t have it all okay we know that you can’t have it all oh I put some fresh wood inside because it was getting a little cold cuz nobody’s been in it for a a bit here and now we’re going to get inside let’s go and you also get this cool hat you get a cool hat this is a sauna hat it keeps you from getting your hair hot I guess i don’t know i was told to wear it and it looks kind of sick might just rock this style kind of looks like I’m a 1980s hippie and given the fact that I’m hitchhiking through a country seems pretty uh on brand right now so now when you’re in the sauna say for about 10 minutes in these ones it’s pretty cool right now so something you can do to heat it up add water take water you add it to the stones it essentially gives this like huge rush of heat so it actually cools the temperature overall but it gives this huge rush and you just once it’s at 120 you do that it like blasts you with this crazy heat which you can already see is steaming up the camera so I’m going to get the camera out of here but I’m going to let it get a little hotter i’m going to be in here for a bit and then we’ll go to the river and this thing just it kills you you just keep dumping water on it and absolutely bulldozes you pause with heat and it’s gorgeous it gorgeous release the pores release the mind oh my god see already steaming up out here so we’re going to get in the sauna and I’ll see you for the river okay we waited till it got up to about 100 and got in there i only lasted about 8 minutes but now goodbye this is the best and worst part you walk oh god here we go i’m not a i’m not a i’m not a deep breaths deep breaths and look around you like come on is this not the most beautiful thing you’ve ever seen in your goddamn life oh my god that’s so cold you’re literally coming down deep country flowing river you have some cliffs and forest beside you you have little country house and restaurant up there and then you have the lodge three saunas and you’re just in wilderness you’re literally just in the wilderness and it is actually the most beautiful thing I’ve ever been in in my life i’ve seen a lot of beautiful things don’t get me wrong this might top all of it it’s this euphoric feeling you get you’re in the sauna you’re like boiling hot you actually feel like you’re going to die and then you run down get in the river and you’re so cool and it’s so nice deep breath and you’re in here for about a minute or two and then we get out oh my god i’m going to slip you come to the seat and then while the sauna continues to get hot Oh oh my god this is also something cool about the country listen there’s announcements going on right now funny enough I didn’t even know it was 5 i heard about this i got told Alex told me this earlier at 12:00 and 5:00 in the countryside every day there’s a an alarm not an alarm like a little ringy ding that there’s a ringing that goes on at 12:00 and 5 like notifying people I guess the whole countryside 12 and 5 every day you don’t get in the cities but if you come this deep out to the countryside local town nobody here you get this little ring 12 and five every day just notifying everybody hey middle of the day hey end of the day take a rest kick your feet up put down that shovel you don’t need to farm blueberries and grapes you get your towel you put it over your legs and then and you just look and you just get this wave of endorphins i lit literally cannot feel it cannot explain it see my brain doesn’t even work it just gives you this rush of endorphins like nothing I’ve felt like nothing I felt it’s insane i don’t do drugs but if I took MDMA this is what I imagine it would feel like like I’d sit there and hit this hole of like I can’t tell if I’m about to pass out or I’m getting this huge rough of endorphins like I’m either about to die or I’m hitting peak godlike feeling and I may as well just die after because life will not get any better and then you just lay you lay here and it’s absolutely gorgeous and you hit that for about two or three times so we’re going to get back in the sauna for a bit i’m gonna lay here for a few minutes you cool down you relax the body and then you get back in the sauna do another 10 minutes hit the river again back in the sauna hit the river again relax hit the sauna back in the river you get the idea so I’m going to sit here and I’m going to get back in the sauna for a bit one more water oh my god feels like a devil’s pissing on me holy oh my god so cold but you get this huge rush i actually can’t explain it you just like you’re in there and once you like stop being freezing and wanting to like kill yourself after 5 to 10 seconds maybe 30 huge endorphin rush and it’s just serenic like literally euphoric like I’m lightheaded lightheaded but I don’t know if it’s good or bad might die i don’t know different man slow down enjoy life for a little this is what it’s all about you got to appreciate the moments because it gets tiring and this is just insane yeah man i love traveling go explore the world there’s Today on our first day in Kiyokawa, we tour the lodge, get a feel for the place we are staying in, and try Japan’s most relaxing experience ever. Potentially the worlds most relaxing experience, and that’s not being dramatic. After heading down to the lodge and getting a feel for the country, we check out how some local farming gets done, and end the day with Japan’s booming Sauna Lifestyle. I highly recommend you come here for this! ENJOYYY

Cheers, Dort

  1. Fantastic, so when you come back to Canada, you can go and work in a vineyard and do a polar bear swim ๐Ÿ˜† So what did they say in the announcement ? Such a friendly society announcing the end of the day

  2. Youโ€™re killing it with the content! Again, what a cool lodge, awesome scenery that Iโ€™m sure the camera canโ€™t fully capture and the experiencesโ€ฆ youโ€™re capturing a side of Japan, very few have shown on YouTube so far. The baby grapes look like hops. They are related after all so it makes sense. Also, I give you credit for submersing fully into the cold water. Ice baths knock the air out of me! Thanks again for the awesome content dude.

  3. Japanese Muscats are 10/10
South Korean & Chinese Muscats are 6/10

Try all the fruit in Japan, Rian. They are the best in the world.

  4. Wow that river was beautiful and the surrounding area too ๐Ÿ˜ Your face when they were talking in the greenhouse and you were acting like you knew what they were saying and nodding along ๐Ÿ˜‚ That was funny ๐Ÿ˜… Glad you enjoyed the spa ๐Ÿ˜Š

  5. That sauna experience seems amazing! At home I also have a sauna and a natural pool so it's a bit the same, but I can imagine relaxing afterwards and enjoying the scenery is just awesome! You got yourself a new subscriber by the way!
